Gamebook-Inspired Touhou RPG “Marisa of Liartop Mountain” Rolls Dice on PC, Switch Sept 18

TOKYO — 14 April, 2025 — Marisa of Liartop Mountain, the Touhou digital tabletop adventure RPG inspired by classic gamebooks developed by Unknown X, writes a new story on PC via Steam and Nintendo Switch Thursday, September 18th, 2025.

Across a page-turning journey reminiscent of classic gamebooks, navigate Shrine Maiden Reimu’s search for Marisa’s whereabouts across the Japan-inspired land of Gensokyo. Decide destiny with every dice roll in Marisa of Liartop Mountain’s branching narrative.

Take heed of input provided from four additional Touhou heroines from the Scarlet Devil Mansion series — RemiliaFlandreSakuya, and Patchouli — who voice their opinions on Reimu’s every action through five adventurous chapters. Will Reimu follow their advice, or trust her gut on which path to take?

Explore wondrous locales including eccentric libraries, barren deserts, peculiar circuses, and much more. Which direction will Reimu go? Many forks await on the surreal road ahead. Encounter enemies along the way, and decide between fight or flight as each decision leads down different paths, growing the story arc in a new direction and leading to multiple endings.

Marisa of Liartop Mountain is a game based on the Touhou Project, arriving on PC via Steam and Nintendo Switch with language options in English, Japanese, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese. Assetto Corsa EVO: KUNOS Simulazioni Reveals Key Updates in New Video

Kunos Simulazioni provides a new update on the development status of Assetto Corsa EVO, addressing key community feedback and outlining updates leading to the 1.0 launch.

Check out ‘What’s next for Assetto Corsa EVO’ here:

CALABASAS, Calif. – April 11th, 2025:  Global Publisher 505 Games and developer KUNOS Simulazioni are pleased to share new details of what comes next for Assetto Corsa EVO in a brand new developer video. Assetto Corsa EVO is the latest evolution in the acclaimed Assetto Corsa series and is currently available on Steam in Early Access.

Since its launch on January 16, Assetto Corsa EVO has achieved milestones beyond expectations. This success has been made possible thanks to the support and passion shown by players worldwide. Their contribution encouraged the development team to introduce some changes in order to improve core game experience and mechanics. These updates represent a new step forward for Assetto Corsa EVO – balancing tradition with exciting new possibilities.

Today, Marco Massarutto, co-founder and Executive Manager of KUNOS Simulazioni, shared important updates in a new video, outlining the decisions made, many of which were directly influenced by the valuable feedback from the community.

  • Open/Career Modes and Special Events: The new Open Mode will be available soon. A fully offline mode that allows players to enjoy driving without the need for an internet connection.  At the same time, players’ journey and drivers’ progress in AC EVO will continue through the Career mode, which combines progression, in-game economy, and the Driving Academy; all of these contents will also be accessible without the need of an internet connection. Special Events, on the other hand, will require an internet connection – similar to the previous title Assetto Corsa Competizione – and will be available both in Open and Career Mode.
  • Technical Optimizations and Improvements: The team is working to enhance the overall performance of the game, optimizing all configurations, including users with VR and triple screen setups. Additional improvements will be implemented to ensure greater stability and smoother gameplay.
  • Enhanced AI: AI-controlled drivers will have well-defined identities and will display different behaviors depending on the difficulty level. This will allow players to have a more structured progression, facing increasingly competitive opponents. This aspect will benefit from continuous and ongoing improvements over time.
  • New Race Options and UI: The new user interface for AI opponent grids will provide greater control over single-race configurations, while the Custom Race Weekend feature will add further depth to the solo racing experience.
  • About Multiplayer: The team is testing this feature in internal sessions with excellent results, and the third Early Access release, scheduled for Summer 2025, will offer the first public version of the multiplayer mode, with a completely redesigned netcode to ensure a stable and competitive online experience.
  • Modding tools available sooner than expected: Modding support tools will be made available earlier than initially planned, during the Early Access period (instead of after the 1.0 release). This will allow the community to start testing their creativity and will allow the development team to refine this important aspect before the final release of the game.
  • Stefano Casillo’s Return: The return of Stefano Casillo (co-founder of KUNOS Simulazioni) as Chief Technology Officer of Assetto Corsa EVO marks a new chapter in the game’s development. It represents more than just a change in the organizational structure, it’s a clear statement of intent. Stefano Casillo’s experience and vision will help shape Assetto Corsa EVO

For all of the latest updates and exclusive sneak peeks in the development journey be sure to check out the video in full.

Assetto Corsa EVO is available on Steam Early Access at €39.99 | $39.99 | £32.99.

Devote yourself to roguelike colony sim Kaya’s Prophecy – now available on Steam

Donations welcome, sacrifices demanded

Bristol, United Kingdom — April 10, 2025 | Gather some your coconuts and dust off the altar, for the fearsome deity Kalades has awoken and is feeling hangry. The cult – er, we mean colony – sim meets roguelike deckbuilder Kaya’s Prophecy is now available on Steam! Praise Kalades!

Don’t you just hate when you’re just trying to survive in a tribal village and you accidentally awaken an ancient, sadistic deity? With his whole village gone and nothing but a couple of rocks and a demanding overlord remaining, humble villager Koa has a lot of work ahead of him. Players are challenged to seek out resources, fend off outsiders and rebuild the village. Oh, and one more tiny detail: they’ll need to keep Kalades happy to avoid divine punishment.

Restoring the village to its former glory will take time, resources, and plenty of sacrifices. Praying to totems and altars will bring awards, provided enough ‘donations’ are made. With a combination of crafting and prayer, players will discover new recipes, improve their equipment, and welcome new villagers to the tribe. However, as the village grows so too does the deity’s hunger…

The realms of Kaya’s Prophecy extend beyond the borders of the tribe, with a variety of areas to explore and secrets to uncover. Send villagers on adventures and embark on a roguelike trail swarming with random encounters, treasures, resources and card-based combat. Players must choose their cards carefully, making use of coco combos to craft a careful balance between defense and offense, gain rewards and continue along their chosen path.

This tactical blend of roguelike deckbuilder and card-based colony sim is bound to scratch that strategy itch. Or perhaps that’s a rash from Kalades’ latest punishment…

Kaya’s Prophecy will be available on Steam from April 10, 2025. For the latest updates, follow Yogscast Games on Bluesky, Instagram and TikTok

The Elder Scrolls Online Reveals 2025’s Seasons of the Worm Cult and more

Today, during the 2025 ESO Direct, ZeniMax Online Studios revealed this year’s new content, including Seasons of the Worm Cult, which takes players to the island of Solstice, a brand-new zone, and delivers a long-awaited sequel to ESO’s base game storyline. Exciting changes for The Elder Scrolls Online are coming this year, as the development team move away from annual Chapter releases, allowing for more flexibility, experimentation and chance to create greater variety of content for players. The team has also introduced the 2025 Content Pass, giving players a new way to access the major updates coming to ESO this year.

2025 Content Pass

This year, ESO is implementing the 2025 Content Pass. With this pass, players will receive access to every update planned for this year’s adventure, which includes access to Seasons of the Worm Cult Parts 1 and 2, two dungeon packs, and The Writhing Wall in-game event. More details about the 2025 Content Pass and 2025 Premium Edition can be found here.

Seasons of the Worm Cult

A two-part adventure, Seasons of the Worm Cult is ESO’s major new zone and storyline for 2025. Divided by the mysterious Writhing Wall, the isle of Solstice is beset by the dreaded Worm Cult. For the first time in the game’s history, the Seasons of the Worm Cult saga continues a story that began in the ESO base game, although players don’t need to have completed the game’s original story to enjoy this one. Seasons of the Worm Cult Part 1 will be available on June 2 for PC/Mac and June 18 for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5, with Part 2 arriving towards the end of 2025.

Writhing Wall Event

Splitting Solstice in half is the Writhing Wall, a gigantic magical barrier the Worm Cult uses to conceal and protect their activities in the island’s east. In another ESO first, the Writhing Wall will be the focus of a world-changing collaborative in-game event later this year, where players must team up to assault the barrier, break through to the other side, and open the door to Seasons of the Worm Cult Part 2.

Dungeon Packs

Included in the 2025 Content Pass and 2025 Premium Edition are two dungeon packs: Fallen Banners (now live) and Feast of Shadows (arriving Spring 2025). Each pack features two unique PvE four-player dungeons, complete with their own storylines, challenges, achievements, and rewards.

Subclassing and Hero’s Return

Arriving alongside Seasons of the Worm Cult Part 1 in June is the Update 46 base-game patch, a free update available to all ESO players that introduces major changes and additions to the game. Featured in this update is the new Subclassing system that will allow players to replace up to two of their character’s three class Skill Lines with those from the other six classes. With this new tool, players can finally create a playstyle uniquely their own by mixing and matching class Skill Lines to create the ideal hybrid.

Additionally, Update 46 includes a new system – Hero’s Return. Designed for players who haven’t played ESO in a while, this system will serve as the perfect refresher to ease players seamlessly back into the world of Tamriel. Players who complete the experience will be offered in-game rewards to further assist with getting them back on their feet.

Kinda Funny Podcast Series

Finally, ESO has also announced a collaboration with Kinda Funny Games on a new limited podcast series. Kinda Funny will be joined by the ESO development team to talk about the game’s 10-year journey over four episodes, with the first going live on Friday, April 11.
