Santa Inoue’s manga, Tokyo Tribe 2, will be turned into a live adaptation film and the director is turning to the internet for actors.
Shion Sono plans to hold auditions through YouTube for the film’s main characters. An account for the movie has been set up and currently four videos have been uploaded within the last day. Actors will have to upload a video of themselves showcasing their abilities as one of the characters from the manga. Those who are chosen through YouTube will then go through a real life audition.
The manga was previously planned for a movie adaptation in 2006, but then got cancelled within the same year. Check out the Tokyo Tribe YouTube page by clicking here.
An interesting image has made its way online at PokemonXY.jp a Japanese fan-site for Pokemon X and Y revealing a supposed evolution for classic Pokemon Jynx.
The supposed evolution for Jynx is said to be named Rujeria in Japanese and is an Ice/Psychic type Pokemon. You can see Rujeria to the right. It appears to be a slimmer version of Jynx. The Pokemon is said to debut in the upcoming Pokemon X and Y games for the Nintendo 3DS.
So what do you think? Is this real or is this fake? Let us know what you think of Rujeria in the comments section below.
MekTek Studios and Stompy Robot have announced today that their upcoming Mecha combat game based in the Heavy Gear universe is going to be built using the latest in Unreal technology, Unreal Engine 4. The team behind the game have created a trailer using only In-Game footage developed entirely in Unreal Engine 4.
The trailer is a fictional advertisement from the in-game “Paxton Arms” arms dealer. It showcases an in-game mecha known as a Gear circuiting the battle arena and showing off some of the in game weaponry. Of note is how realistic the engine renders the game models and environments.
Be sure to check out the trailer embedded below and the Official Site for more info.
Call of Duty has been hitting the pro circuit as of late, and with the Call of Duty Championship tournament, many are trying to prove their worth on the battlefield in Black Ops II. Recently – and by recently I mean over the past weekend, two teams won the opportunity to prove their worth in LA at the big event that will kick off this April.
Team Immunity and Mindfreak eSports were the two teams that stood tall at the end of an eight hour session, where 32 players gathered for the ANZ qualifiers. To show just how it went down, a clip that you can see below has been released displaying highlights of the intensity that took place. Congrats to the teams involved, and CoD fans should keep their eyes out for the big event that takes place from April 5-7 at the Hollywood Palladium Theatre.
Ubisoft has released a new trailer for Watch_Dogs called ctOS Threat Monitoring Report. The video – which can be viewed below – has a ctOS Network Security worker narrating over the events of the last gameplay trailer shown at the PlayStation 2013 event in February.
She recounts Aiden Pearce’s actions, giving perspective into what the city’s cameras see, who exactly is behind them monitoring his every move and how much they know. However, she also hints at an outside presence – maybe another hacker – watching Aiden via the very same surveillance cameras found throughout Chicago, which was highlighted in the aforementioned gameplay trailer with the “intruder” going by the handle ‘PixxelFD’. It has been rumoured that this is a hint at possible multiplayer/social networking features to be launched with the game or as an app in regards to the latter. Listen and watch the report below.
After the leak of the first screenshots and full trailer for Battlefield 4 (see here), EA and DICE have just officially released a 17 minute long gameplay reveal video called “Fishing in Baku”.
The video, which can be viewed at the bottom of this article, is breath-taking in displaying the game’s graphical quality, but also in the set-pieces that are to be experienced by the player as Recker. Those three “Prepare 4 Battle” teasers – Land, Sea and Air – couldn’t have foreshadowed the events that take place in Fishing in Baku any better. We get an unedited look at the sequence that involves the Tombstone Actual team driving and fighting on land, trapped in a sinking car in the sea and attempting to get extracted by air when an attack helicopter appears and foils their escape from a collapsing building (yes, in Battlefield 3, you saw one…now, you’re in one!).
According to the official press release, the single-player campaign promises huge environments, a playground of destruction, access to an arsenal of vehicles and weaponry and the ability to direct squad mates (which is showcased in this gameplay video). And now, the solo experience of playing Battlefield has become much more social as players’ progress will be tracked, adding an element of persistence and friendly competition to the campaign with friends.
Executive Vice President of the EA Games Label, Patrick Soderlund said;
“We are so humbled and proud to debut Battlefield 4 on a global stage with simultaneous events in San Francisco and Stockholm. To be this early in development, and to already be so polished is a huge achievement for the DICE team and reflection of their passion and commitment to driving the franchise forward. Today’s demo was just the beginning — we have so much more in store. It is thrilling to witness peoples’ reaction when seeing the game for the first time. It really makes you realize that we are at the beginning of a whole new era for gaming. As artists and craftspeople, we are focused on creating a dynamic, open design that brings people together with amazing, surprising unscripted moments that they’ll talk about for days. That’s the beauty of Battlefield.”
This video deserves to be seen in HD, so please – if you haven’t already – watch it below. You can pre-order Battlefield 4 for Xbox 360, PS3 or PChere. By doing so at participating retail outlets, you will receive a Premium expansion pack at no extra cost. DICE also announced today Battlefield 4 Digital Deluxe edition, which is an Origin exclusive that includes bonus in-game digital items. Players that pre-order the Battlefield 4 Digital Deluxe edition will also receive the Premium expansion pack as well as access to the exclusive Battlefield 4 multiplayer beta. For more information on the stunning war-fighter, visit the official Battlefield website.
Trying to keep a secret in the game industry is pretty much impossible nowadays as there always seems to be information and assets leaked out ahead of time. This time around we have a rather big leak related to Electronic Arts’ Battlefield 4.
While the company was meant to release information pretty soon, over at NeoGAF three screenshots and the game’s first trailer have been leaked ahead of time. The video itself is short but it did tease that a seventeen minute gameplay video would be placed on the Battlefield website, which has since been the case. You can view that video, entitled “Fishing in Baku”, right here.

Today it was announced over on Toonami’s Tumblrpage that they will be making a change to their Saturday airing schedule next month. Starting on April 27th Toonami will remove one of the half hour time-slots regulated for the second Cowboy Bebop episode of the night and will instead be airing the futuristic racing anime IGPX also known as Immortal Grand Prix.
In case you may not remember it, IGPX was created by Production IG and Cartoon Network themselves back in 2005 for Toonami back when they were trying to create some original programming. The series actually featured some well known English actors voicing some of the characters, sch as Michelle Rodriguez and Haley Joel Osment providing voice work.
With the rights to the series up in the air, many thought that the series would never again debut on television and since Bandai Entertainment went out of business, the home video releases have disappeared as well.
This is obviously good news for fans of Toonami considering, despite how great of a series Cowboy Bebop is, not only has it been replayed to death but two episodes a night is a waste of a half hour of programming. It was also mentioned by Toonami that the changes to TOM and the Absolution that have been mentioned in the past will also occur on April 27th.
It is interesting to note that the company also mentioned that Toonami was looking into bringing ‘Megas XLR’ back but unfortunately it is a “very different animal” according to Toonami and everything it took to bring back IGPX is “not in place for Megas.”
