Stardock’s Fallen Enchantress: Legendary Heroes Released

fallen-enchantress-legendary-heroes-rls

Fallen Enchantress’s standalone expansion pack Legendary Heroes was released today. The game is a fantasy 4X strategy game with RPG elements. Legendary Heroes addresses some gameplay concerns in the Fallen Enchantress including the champions system. Players can now earn champions rather than finding them randomly scattered across the map. The game’s units and item systems have also been rebalanced.

“While it was tempting to create a traditional expansion pack that focused on new, we wanted to use this opportunity to take Fallen Enchantress, a good game, and make it into a great game,” said Brad Wardell, President & CEO of Stardock.

Fallen Enchantress: Legendary Heroes is available on Steam for for $39.99 USD. Owners of the original game will receive a 50% discount on Legendary Heroes.

Australian Youth to ‘Stay Living’ in a Zombie Apocalypse

Stay-Living-Campaign-01The macabre seems to be the zeitgeist of this generation. First, it was vampires, but now zombies rule popular culture.

And with the success of recent movies such as Warm Bodies, and the buzz behind future releases like World War Z from Paramount Pictures, Boost Mobile Australia recognises the mega-trend’s staying power and continued popularity. This is why they are soon to launch a new campaign called ‘Stay Living’.

‘Stay Living’ will feature a series of three short films that tap into this global phenomenon with action-packed scenes that depict the lives of four young Australian heroes in a zombie apocalypse. Battling their way through the zombie infested streets of urban Australia, the characters use their razor sharp survival skills to stick together, look out for each other, and above all else, ‘Stay Living’.

What may seem like your regular zombie genre entries on the surface will hold a more meaningful message, specifically targeted at the more clued-in Gen-Y audience. The short films will be available on June 4th online, via social media channels, on TV and in-store.

The fourth entry in Microids’ Dracula series, published by French company Anuman, has revealed that the city of Istanbul is being added to the game as well as the character of Yanek Kaneyek (pictured above in his rather dashing outfit).

The story of Dracula 4 focuses on a period a few months after a freighter that carries an important art collection meant for the Metropolitan Museum shipwrecks, and one of the masterpieces is found in Hungary. Assigned by the museum to authenticate it, Ellen Cross, an art restorer, does not suspect that this mission is about to take her throughout Europe, on the steps of Valachi’s famous prince, Vlad Tepes.

Dracula 4: The Shadow of the Dragon will be releasing in the Summer of 2013 for PC, Mac, iPhone, iPad and Android. You can check out a developers diary video below and a trailer for the game in one our previous articles.

Bower & Wilkin’s highly regarded C5 in ear headphones are now available in Satin Titianium. The C5 are designed to stay in the ear even during vigorous movement with the secure loop design and the tungsten weights located inside the headphones. Bowers & Wilkins uses a micro-porous filter on the outside of the C5 to provide room for the sound, resulting in a larger sound stage. This concept is similar to how open back headphones work. The cables include an Apple remote, allowing owners to remotely control their iDevice.

The C5 is constructed from aluminium and is available in Gloss Black and Satin Titanium. They cost $229.95 AUD. The Gloss Black is available now and the Satin Titanium will be released in June. The C5  can be purchased from Apple Stores, select JB HiFi and Harvey Norman, and independent specialist stores.
