SYDNEY (May 28, 2025) – SQUARE ENIX has announced that DRAGON QUEST I & II HD-2D Remake – the narrative continuation and ultimate conclusion of last year’s acclaimed DRAGON QUEST III HD-2D Remake – will launch on Oct. 30, 2025. The game is coming to Nintendo Switch 2^™, Nintendo Switch^™, PlayStation^®5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam^® and Microsoft Store on Windows.

DRAGON QUEST I & II HD-2D Remake combines full remakes of DRAGON QUEST I and DRAGON QUEST II, which chronologically take place after DRAGON QUEST III HD-2D Remake, which launched in November 2024. Players can experience the dramatic and satisfying conclusion to the “Erdrick Trilogy” in these two timeless adventures, brought to new life in the beloved HD-2D graphical style with never-before-seen story content and gameplay updates.

In DRAGON QUEST I & II HD-2D Remake, players take control of the descendants of Erdrick, the legendary hero whose legacy is passed down through generations following the events of DRAGON QUEST III HD-2D Remake. Players can continue the sprawling story in these games, while newcomers can experience the entire compilation with the new digital-only DRAGON QUEST HD-2D Erdrick Trilogy Collection, which packages together DRAGON QUEST III HD-2D Remake and DRAGON QUEST I & II HD-2D Remake in one definitive set.

In addition to beautiful HD-2D graphics, a refined battle system, numerous quality-of-life updates and major story additions, both remakes will feature a variety of new content. Details about this new content will be revealed at a later date.

DRAGON QUEST I & II HD-2D Remake will launch on Oct. 30 for Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC via Steam and Microsoft Store on Windows. Occult Crescent, the highly anticipated latest activity from FINAL FANTASY XIV: Dawntrail arrived overnight with Patch 7.25. Occult Crescent is a Field Operations series that invites players to explore an island enveloped in a magical ward. Inspired by the Bermuda Triangle, players equip and level up special jobs known as Phantom Jobs, which give players access to unique actions and traits as they explore the field operation. Players will gain ‘knowledge’ by engaging in Occult Crescent activities, which determine how strong they are compared to the creatures on the island.

Throughout Occult Crescent, players will experience battle encounters in the open field with a party of up to eight, and larger 72-player boss encounters called Critical Encounters within enclosed arenas. Once players reach knowledge level 20, they can take on a 48-player dungeon for unique rewards.

The FINAL FANTASY XIV story continues

Patch 7.1: Crossroads in November 2024 and Patch 7.2: Seekers of Eternity in March 2025 continued the main story questline from the Dawntrail expansion. 15 new main scenario quests have been added, with more coming in future patches.

FINAL FANTASY XI inspired Raid: Echoes of Vana’diel

Patch 7.1 introduced players to Echoes of Vana’diel, a new 24-player Alliance Raid Dungeon inspired by FINAL FANTASY XI. The first in the raid series, Jeuno: The First Walk includes elements from FINAL FANTASY XI’s hub city, Jeuno, and music from the game during battles.

Three more new raids!

Patch 7.1 also introduced a new Ultimate Raid: Futures Rewritten, and a new Chaotic Alliance Raid: Cloud of Darkness. These raids offer higher challenges for end-game players and groups to conquer as they engage in large-scale boss battles that popularised the franchise.

Futures Rewritten questions what form the future of FINAL FANTASY XIV’s world would take if there were countless possibilities. In Cloud of Darkness, players traverse the boundless dark to find a voracious voidsent sovereign who sought to invade the material realm and render all to naught.

Patch 7.2 introduced the Cruiserweight Division to The Arcadion Raid series that launched in Dawntrail. After dominating the light-heavyweight division of the Ascension Arcadia Championship, players are invited to take on four more challenges in the Cruiserweight Division and also unlock more difficult ‘Savage’ versions of each fight. 

Two new trials

Trials are instanced duties where players fight together against a single boss enemy. In traditional FINAL FANTASY fashion, players can expect multiple phases per boss!

Two normal trials, The Minstrel’s Ballad: Sphene’s Burden, and Recollection are available. Each patch a harder ‘Unreal’ trial is available. The current Unreal Trial is Hell’s Kier.

Players struggle to return the great auspice Suzaku, master of flames and resurrection, to her senses while succumbing to her mournful melody. Players who enjoyed the battles with Primals in FINAL FANTASY XIV’s base story will love these Trials.

New Dungeons

Two new four-player Dungeons are now available. Yuweyawata Field Station sees players exploring an old village to uncover the fate of it and its people. The Underkeep takes players to a royal castle, Everkeep, to battle medieval-themed enemies.

New activity – Cosmic Exploration

If players want a break from combat, they can head to the moon in Cosmic Exploration! Research and develop cutting-edge artisans’ tools, while furthering the team’s preparations for a maiden voyage to stars yet uncharted! Players on each game world work together to collect resources and complete tasks to upgrade their base camp and unlock new ways to explore. Players can even pilot Mechs in certain operations!

Each patch has also introduced new side quests, housing updates, gear, mounts, emotes and more. Oh, and this good boy to accompany you (a new minion)!

New ways for players to experience The Division 2 as the game enters its seventh year of live service

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA – 28 May, 2025 – Today, Ubisoft announced the launch of Battle for Brooklyn DLC and the first season of Year 7, Crossroads, for Tom Clancy’s The Division^® 2. Additionally, Tom Clancy’s The Division^® 2 launches on Xbox Game Pass, engaging new audiences as the game enters its seventh year of live service. To help onboard new Agents, level 40 players who assist players who Call for Backup will gain extra rewards for the next two weeks. Additionally, for a limited time starting 30 May, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers can redeem the free EMS Outfit, which includes five Emergency Medical Services-inspired pieces.

The Battle for Brooklyn DLC brings players back to New York, featuring faithfully recreated Brooklyn neighbourhoods and a brand-new linear campaign. Throughout the campaign, available either solo or in co-op, players will uncover how the Cleaners have been mass-producing the dangerous Purple Flame, which threatens the fragile peace of the relatively untouched Brooklyn settlement.

The DLC comes with a 40-level boost, allowing players to dive into the campaign from day one. In addition, available as a DLC exclusive, the Catalyst Exotic Mask provides bonuses for dealing and receiving status effect damage, aiding players in combat against the Cleaners.

Players who previously purchased The Division 2 Gold edition or the new The Division 2 Ultimate edition after 24 April can now play the DLC. The Battle for Brooklyn DLC is also available as a standalone purchase for AUD $22.95 on the Ubisoft Store.

In the first season of year seven, Crossroads, Agents find themselves in a race against time as they try to retrieve a deep-cover asset in the Sokolov Concern. Crossroads will inspire nostalgia for The Division franchise fans, with Modifiers and Gear reminiscent of elements from The Division. The Global modifier “Hard-Core” contains three new Attributes, with players gaining bonuses depending on each Attribute’s score, while this season’s Passive modifiers resemble The Division’s Talents, requiring a minimum Attribute tier to activate.

This season also brings quality of life enhancements for existing players and better onboarding for new players. Season Pass XP is increased for all activities, and co-op progress will be fully incorporated into the seasonal journey.

SEATTLE — May. 27, 2025 — Drill Core, the platform miner simulator from developer Hungry Couch and publisher tinyBuild, explodes off of Early Access into 1.0 on PC via Steam on Thursday, July 17, 2025, and Nintendo Switch later this year, as seen at tinyBuild Connect.

Drill Core Inc. needs you! Assume the role of Platform Manager and lead a crew to intergalactic success. Take pride in protecting the future of the galaxy by mining for resources across the universe to ward off threats. Dig using state-of-the-art technology, strategically execute operations, and bring home the prof— uh, stave off the looming climate disaster!

Recruit a team of miners, carriers, guards, or just about anyone needed to get the job done. Activate the drill platform and extract precious minerals located deep within the planets’ cores. As Platform Manager, monitor resource management and plan effective routes to secure fruitful excavations.

Stay alert, minding the local biodiversity found on every planet. Not all flora and fauna are friendly! Deploy cutting-edge defensive turrets to turn the planet’s fauna into sorry piles of debris. Keeping the team alive sometimes means doing what’s necessary, but hey, it’s not a crime if it’s self-defense… right?

Differing planet ecosystems means no two challenges are the same. Keep those wits about you and toes centered, adapting to ever-evolving scenarios with unpredictable wildlife encounters.
