Go hands-on at gamescom’s Indie Arena Booth with next game from “Honey, I Joined a Cult” developer and “Cash Cleaner Simulator” publisher

LONDON – July 9, 2025 – Watch the first gameplay trailer for Space Scum, the tactical RPG set in a dystopian, comic book-style universe from Sole Survivor Games (Honey, I Joined a Cult) and publisher Forklift Interactive (Cash Cleaner Simulator). Go hands-on with this brutal, strategic experience with a Steam demo in August, or in-person at Indie Arena Booth at gamescom, from Wed, Aug. 20, through Sunday, Aug. 24, 2025.

Assembling the biggest, baddest Mercenary Company in the outer rim will require hiring the biggest, baddest mercenaries. Engage in turn-based combat with a squad of soldiers of fortune, each with a different speciality. Sometimes the job needs a big man with an even bigger axe to make a bloody mess, but a merc that can hijack enemy turrets can also fit the bill. Just don’t get too attached – permadeath means a dead mercenary stays dead forever.

Use the spoils of war, rewards, and experience earned from successful missions to buy new weapons, ship upgrades, and hire new talent to replace the fallen. Find new specialists in different combat styles: sharpshooters with a deadly aim, hackers for more complex defenses, or shield-bearing heavies that can tank damage and set the crew up for success during battle. No two Space Scum experiences will tell the same story, with the ability to choose a custom origins for the Mercenary Company, and procedurally generated planets presenting unexpected surprises. Work for and against different factions, making and breaking alliances as necessary in a quest for power… and expect others to do the same.

The unlikely collaboration came about after John put out a call on his podcast, Scriptnotes, asking for a game developer to help with a new project. Corey answered, and the rest is history!

About the game:

Build words, play cards, and take flight! Birdigo is an adorable mashup of Wordle and Balatro created by screenwriter John August (Corpse Bride, Charlie’s Angels, Big Fish) and developer Corey Martin (Bonfire Peaks, Pipe Push Paradise). 

Assemble letter cards into words, which add up into ‘flaps’ to send you further along your journey. Use enchanted feathers, letters and songs to change the rules of the game as you build your score. Go for broke with wild strategies and crazy combos, generate mega-high scores, and guide your flock to safety!

Unearth buried treasure and truths!

London, UK, July 9th, 2025 – Studio Morgan is proud to reveal that its cosy, first person metal detector adventure game Morgan: Metal Detective is coming to PC, PS5 Xbox Series S/X and Nintendo Switch platforms on July 30th. As they say “one man’s buried trash is another man’s buried treasure!”

Morgan: Metal Detective puts players in the role of Morgan, a teenage girl visiting the Cornish island of Glasden with her Mum after her Grandpa’s passing. Upon realizing her late grandpa entrusted her with his cherished metal detector, Morgan has taken it upon herself to scour the grounds of his local village to investigate the legends of Glasden’s secret treasure – something he’d been telling you about for years. Explore the island and help out the local residents to learn what they know of the treasure, and with enough clues you might just be able to find it!

Everyone on the island is looking for something, and Morgan must search the island with her metal detector to find these lost treasures. Each of these quests asks you to engage and really think about the potential location of the lost item. Reunite residents of Glasden with things they have lost; and with your late Grandpa’s help, maybe restore magic along the way!

Everything you unearth has a purpose. Returning lost items will reward Morgan with a unique cassette tape you can listen to whilst you’re exploring. Even the most useless trash can be exchanged for credits to purchase new sticker packs and film for your instant camera. You can then decorate the journal with these stickers and the photos you’ve taken. Whether you’re hunting for treasure, snapping pictures, or expressing yourself in your in-game journal, there’s always something to turn Glasden’s shores into your own little slice of paradise.

London (July 9^th, 2025) – Capcom, a leading worldwide developer and publisher of video games, announced today their full product line-up for Gamescom 2025. Having previously announced the very first playable opportunities for Resident Evil™ Requiem and Onimusha: Way of the Sword™ back in June during Summer Games Fest 2025, the publisher confirms the world-first public hands-on of its newest title PRAGMATA™ as well as other opportunities coming to the show in Cologne on August 20th.

The Capcom show floor, situated in Hall 9, will feature more than 85 playable demo stations across more than 950 square meters. As well as Resident Evil Requiem, Onimusha: Way of the Sword and PRAGMATA, guests will have the opportunity to experience Nintendo Switch™ 2 versions of Street Fighter™ 6 and Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess™ which released alongside the console’s launch earlier this year.

Capcom will also bring other exciting opportunities for attendees, with a cinema experience, and a number of live streamed programmes broadcast across the duration of the show direct from Cologne to the rest of the world. As part of the live streams, Capcom will broadcast a variety of exciting content as well as appearances from special guests. For German-speaking audiences, Capcom will additionally provide daily shows from early to late, produced and presented by Rocket Beans TV.

Set in a vision of the near future, PRAGMATA transports players to the moon. After a chance meeting aboard a seemingly lifeless lunar research station, spacefarer Hugh and android Diana find themselves caught in the crosshairs of a hostile AI in control of the station. Stranded and surrounded by enemies, only together can they hope to survive.

As Hugh finds himself needing to work with Diana to return to Earth, they must each rely on their own strengths and abilities to overcome the many obstacles in their path.
