Black market crafting simulator VR (Quest & Steam) game Prison Boss Prohibition!

It’s time to get crackin’! TREBUCHET’s latest game, Prison Boss Prohibition – the highly anticipated sequel to Prison Boss VR – is out now on Quest and SteamVR! The Mayor’s cracking down on New Yolk City and the black market is thriving, so it’s a good opportunity to teach ‘em who these streets really belong to! Prison Boss Prohibition is a game that allows you to break reality, friendships (did yours survive Overcooked? It might not survive this!), and maybe even (read: definitely) a few laws.

News Summary

Prison Boss Prohibition, the crafting and simulation game about growing your own black market empire from indie studio TREBUCHET, is out now on Quest and SteamVR! A new trailer has been released to celebrate the launch.

About the Game

Prison Boss Prohibition is a crafting and simulation VR game about growing your own black market empire. Run a chain of stalls crafting a huge catalogue of legal and not-quite-legal merchandise for the citizens of New Yolk City – roll cigarettes, brew booze, tailor suits, write stirring manifestos, and much much more!  Stay out of sight of patrolling cops or risk losing all your precious contraband. Rope in a friend or pick up a stranger from the streets (of the internet) to become your partner in crime!

Accept special jobs to boost your reputation among different factions in the city. Build up street cred and expand your catalogue of contraband. Spend money on upgrades and equipment, and improve your appearance, until you’re the richest, meanest, coolest cock-a-doodle-dude in town!

The soundtrack is brought to life by Side Mtl (previously Vibe Avenue).

From Ray Charles to Herbie Hancock, from Motown to disco, the music of PBP is a journey through some of the most iconic sounds through the ages. For a sneaky chicken, trying to make ends meet in New-Yolk City, jazz fusion felt like the perfect avenue to explore. As you play through the game, our bespoke dynamic groove system sees the song’s tempo pick up pace to match the increased difficulty, creating a more immersive experience for players. But it’s not just clever tech; the songs are rich with the performances of Montreal’s top jazz performers, Remi Cormier, Emile Farley, and Alex Francoeur, bringing the songwriting from Félix Le Blanc to life. Creative Director Francois Xavier Depas lends his hand to the rare appearance of harmonicas in jazz. He is also credited with the architecture behind the interactive music system, which sees the music respond to the game and the player. Prison Boss Prohibition offers an authentic live band experience as one determined chicken tries to make ends meet on the streets of New Yolk City.

Features:

  • The expanded follow-up to contraband crafter Prison Boss VR!
  • Play solo or work with a partner in online co-op!
  • Build a black market empire on the streets of New Yolk City!
  • Hide your wares from the eagle-eyed police patrol!
  • Earn money for upgrades, enhancements and cosmetics!

Ground of Aces Takes Flight in Early Access on Steam

Zurich, Switzerland, July 10, 2025 – The WWII base building strategy game Ground of Aces by Swiss-Polish indie developer Blindflug Studios has officially launched into Early Access. Now available on Steam for Windows PC and Mac, Ground of Aces invites players to step into the role of a British air base commander during the Battle of Britain.

Ground of Aces on Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/2308690/Ground_of_Aces

Launching on the 85th anniversary of the Battle of Britain, Ground of Aces offers a fresh take on the base building genre and a unique view into World War II, highlighting the challenges faced by air bases and their crews. Players must build, expand, and defend their air base while managing pilots, aircraft, and critical missions to help the war effort. It is inspired by free form base building games like Rimworld and Going Medieval, as well as historical strategy games like Hearts of Iron IV. The art style will pay homage to the “ligne claire” style of Franco-Belgian comics like Biggles and Buck Danny.

“I’m absolutely thrilled that we’re able to launch Ground of Aces into Early Access right on time for the 85th anniversary of the start of the Battle of Britain,” says Executive Producer Moritz Zumbühl. “This game is a true passion project for our team – it brings together our love for aviation, World War II, and the base-building genre in a unique title. The demo already received fantastic feedback, and we’re excited to continue developing Ground of Aces together with the community during Early Access. We can’t wait to hear what the fans think!”

The Early Access version features the British Royal Air Force as the first playable faction and offers a selection of 14 iconic British aircraft that players can collect and manage for their base. As development continues, players can expect regular updates that expand the scope and depth of the game.

The main pillars of Ground of Aces:

  • Engulf yourself in the Second World War: Lead a Royal Air Force airfield during the Battle of Britain, collect iconic World War II aircraft, and defend your base from aerial threats.
  • A base builder at heart: Design and expand your air base with complete freedom. Your base is laid out by your own choices and thus unique.
  • A dream for aviation enthusiasts: Take command of a fleet of historically significant aircraft. Carefully select the right planes for each mission, maintain your fleet, and ensure your base is always ready for action.
  • Your crew’s personal stories: Your crew is more than just numbers—they are individuals shaped by war. Witness their struggles and triumphs, and feel the weight of every loss.

Enchanting Adventure ‘Everdeep Aurora’ Arrives on PC, Nintendo Switch Today

Enchanting Adventure ‘Everdeep Aurora’ Arrives on PC, Nintendo Switch Today – Reunite a family in an NES-inspired underground world

MADRID, SPAIN – July 10, 2025 – Everdeep Aurora, the lonely, desolate, yet hope-filled 2D adventure developed by Nautilus Games and published by Ysbryd Gamesmakes its descent onto Windows PC via Steam and Nintendo Switch today.

As the Perseids meteor shower destroys the planet’s surface, young cat Shell awakens on a bench, separated from her mother and left with only a letter. Following the note and guidance from Shell’s new acquaintance Ribbert, Shell drills her way into the rocky Everdeep to reunite her little family. Discover beautiful landforms, charming locals, and intriguing mysteries as she ventures into civilization’s new home.

Create pathways through procedurally generated stone tiles leading Shell to destinations including magnificent mansions, peaceful ponds, and rowdy taverns. Meet more than 20 of the friendly (and perhaps not-so-friendly?) denizens who call the Everdeep home, and gain their trust and assistance by fulfilling their requests. Acquire new tools at Viktor’s pawn shop, visit Remulus to strengthen them, and take a relaxing fishing break with Otto.

Immerse in captivating visual storytelling at every depth of the Everdeep. Retro graphics and sound design, a limited color palette, and a square interface evoke nostalgia for beloved retro consoles like the Nintendo Entertainment System. Smoothly animated cutscenes, color-grading transitions, and shifting musical themes breathe joyful life and abundant personality into the strange corners of this underground oasis.

“Shell’s adventure is motivated by her mission to reunite with her mother, but her quest also leads her to forge friendships with many of the Everdeep’s residents,” said Mikel Ojea, co-founder of Nautilus Games. “We wanted to value both Shell’s relationship with her mother and her newfound friends to reflect the importance of having and creating those relationships in real life, especially in times of crisis.”

Everdeep Aurora is available now on Windows PC via Steam and Nintendo Switch for USD $19.99 with English, French, Brazilian Portuguese, Spanish, Russian, Japanese, Korean, and Simplified Chinese text language support.

To dig into more info about Everdeep Aurora, please visit the official website, follow Nautilus Games on Twitter, and search #EverdeepAurora on social media.

VIRAL INDIE HORROR DEV BEHIND ‘DON’T SCREAM’ RELEASES LATEST TITLE ‘DEADCAM,’ OUT NOW IN EARLY ACCESS!

The haunting summer horror game promises an eerie atmosphere with scream-inducing jump scares.

Singapore, July 10, 2025 | Joure Visser, a developer behind 2023’s viral success Don’t Scream, is excited to announce that early access to his latest project, DEADCAM, is out now on Steam! The 90s-inspired survival horror game invites players into a series of haunting encounters told through found footage recordings.

Chilling J-Horror

DEADCAM applies the 90s analog aesthetic to a variety of gritty horror experiences. By navigating through various found footage recordings, players engage with a diverse collection of stories ranging from survival horror to psychological thrillers. Each self-contained encounter, or ‘file,’ boasts a unique setting and narrative. Uncover the mystery of these haunts by completing each file before proceeding to the next. DEADCAM’s Early Access introduces players to the first encounter, an atmospheric J-Horror challenge set in an abandoned school. Four additional encounters will be added throughout the Early Access period.

Explosive Encounters

DEADCAM’s found footage recordings see players through different stories; each file features its own setting, narrative, and gameplay mechanics tailored to the tone of the story. Across each file, retro UI elements monitor haunted activity in the area, including the size and speed of nearby enemy mobs. Idle opponents may walk or sprint to your location, forcing you to confront a handful–or a horde–of enemies. DEADCAM offers a variety of weapons, from firearms like pistols and shotguns to more brutal tools like flamethrowers and chainsaws. These handheld weapons, while powerful, require aiming before firing, which reduces movement speed. Melee weapons, such as the katana, also play a key role. Though quicker to use, melee weapons risk close-quarters vulnerability. As you battle through each encounter, monitor your vitality to make it out alive. A limited number of medkits are available, adding a layer of resource management to gameplay.

Early Access Out Now

Set in an abandoned Japanese high school, the first file offers roughly an hour of gameplay. In this encounter, players can find and use three weapons: a katana, a pistol, and a shotgun. The file features three possible endings, but only one unlocks the full 100% playback percentage—the “good” ending. Players who strategically navigate their surroundings will find an important element that will unlock the necessary path to the “good” ending. Details of the remaining four files will be announced soon.

Early Access Features

  • Nostalgic ’90s analog and chilling found footage combine for an atmospheric survival horror experience
  • Experience the first of five chilling encounters in Early Access, out now!
  • Simple top-down map system to orient players in this haunted world.
  • Exciting, brain-teasing puzzles combined with thrilling combat.
  • Find three weapons hidden in the first file: a katana, a shotgun, and a pistol.
  • One-hour files offer chilling experiences at breakneck speed.
  • Manage resources, such as medkits, to replenish your vitality during tough encounters.
  • Handheld weapons require aiming, which slows movement speed, while melee combat risks close-quarter enemy encounters.
  • Experience one of three possible endings, or fight to find them all.

DEADCAM’s Early Access is out now on Steam.

GHOST HAUNTING brings pixelated mischief, cheeky demons, and heartwarming chaos to the world of point & click adventures

It’s cute. It’s spooky. It’s a love letter to the 90s.

Hamburg, Germany – July 10, 2025 – Daedalic Entertainment and Three Headed Monkey Studios are teaming up to release a brand-new, classic-style adventure game. GHOST HAUNTING blends lovingly hand-drawn 2D visuals with subtle spookiness and dark humor—true to the spirit of genre-defining point-and-click classics. Developed by a new indie team of true 90s kids, the game offers a nostalgic yet modern take on the traditional adventure formula: An all-new 2D point & click adventure with a big nostalgic heart, modern comforts, and a protagonist who isn’t even old enough to ride a ghost train alone. Players join 8-year-old Gigi on her journey into the afterlife, armed with nothing but her curiosity, questionable logic, and a talking pumpkin-demon named Baron Butt(er)nut.

During a supposedly relaxing vacation, Gigi stumbles upon the family secret: her grumpy grandpa Giovanni is a legendary ghost hunter. This revelation quickly spirals into a plan to bring back her late grandma from the realm of the dead. How hard can it be? Spoiler: very hard. And potentially world-ending.

With handcrafted pixel art and a quirky cast of characters (say hello to the Gargoyle Labor Union and some one-quarter-dead zombies), this game is a story that explores grief, growing up, and ghoulish missteps. GHOST HAUNTING delivers everything players love about the golden age of adventures—without the frustration.

Key Features:

  • Classic point & click gameplay with a modern twist
  • Built-in hint system, hotspot highlighting, and fast travel
  • A “Not-getting-stuck” guarantee
  • Wholesome chaos meets heartfelt storytelling
  • Zero jump scares. Probably.
  • A brand-new IP with serious sequel energy

Whether you’re here for the puzzles or the puns, GHOST HAUNTING is ready to make you laugh, cry, and maybe question the ethics of interdimensional travel.

Wishlist now and prepare to journey into the afterlife, the fun way.
