Bethesda Softworks and Zenimax Online have announced that The Elder Scrolls Online will be released on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on June 9th under the name The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited.
The company also revealed that starting on March 17th, the PC version will be upgraded to Tamriel Unlimited and all versions of the game from that point on will no longer require a game subscription fee. It is worth noting that although you will no longer need to pay a subscription fee for the game, players will still require a PlayStation Plus or Xbox Live Gold account.
Anyone who doesn’t have the game yet will still have to buy the game, as it is now a “buy to play” game with no fees after that unless you choose to sign up for the premium service called ESO Plus. ESO Plus provides a certain amount of Crowns to buy items from the Crown Store which are usually cosmetic items, access to all of the game’s DLC, and various other bonuses.
This week’s issue of Famitsu, courtesy of Esuteru, has revealed that the protagonist of the BlazBlue: Remix Heart manga, Mai Natsume as well as her roommate Cajun Faycott, will be appearing in BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma Extend when it is released in Japan on April 23rd for the PS4, PS3, and Xbox One. Mai, the blue haired girl with the ribbon in her hair to the right, will be voiced by Saori Hayami while Cajun, the purple haired woman, will be voiced by Saki Fujita.
It is currently unknown if either of these two characters will be playable once BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma Extend is released but it is worth noting that both have demonstrated their powers in the manga already and they will be appearing in a story derived from the manga in BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma Extend.
It is worth noting that both Makoto and Tsubaki previously were story only characters in the first title and were then included as playable characters in subsequent Blazblue games, meaning that although they may not be playable there is a fairly good chance sometime in the future that they will be.
Today Koei Tecmo released a new batch of screenshots and gameplay clips for Atelier Shallie: Alchemists of the Dusk Sea focusing primarily on Shallistera, one of the two protagonists in Atelier Shallie, as well as a few other party members and NPCs they will interact with.
Shallistera, nicknamed Shallie by her friends, is the daughter of the chief of the ship clan and once a crisis strikes her homeland, she sets off on an adventure to try and find help for her ailing father. In these videos below you can watch Shallistera as she interacts with numerous characters who will help her on her journey as well as sample the English dub for the game which is set to be released in North America on March 10th.
NIS America has announced that they plan on releasing Operation Abyss: New Tokyo Legacy for the PlayStation Vita April 14 in North America and April 17 in Europe where it will be available for purchase at digital and retail stores in both regions. This includes a limited edition featuring a visual fanbook, soundtrack CD, collectible box, and the game itself for $54.99 from NIS America’s online store.
Developed by Experience Inc., the same studio that worked on Demon Gaze, Operation Abyss: New Tokyo Legacy was released in Japan last summer and takes place in the near future where Tokyo is under attack by creatures called Variants that come through portals leading to a mysterious dimension called the Abyss.
In order to try and investigate the source of these creatures, the Code Physics Agency has been formed and players are part of Xth Squad, a group of teenagers modified with the help of Code Physics Agency’s Code technology and are tasked with defeating enemies and learning the secrets of the Abyss.
It has been a long time since we’ve heard about State of Decay coming to the Xbox One but now Undead Labs has not only announced a release date for State of Decay: Year-One Survival Edition but also what type of improvements will be made to this release of the game.
State of Decay: Year-One Survival Edition will cost $29.99 / ₤19.99 / €29.99 when it releases for Xbox One on April 28th in North America and May 1st elsewhere. This release will contain both the Breakdown and Lifeline DLC as well as 1080p visuals, fancier lighting, textures, and shadows as well as completely overhauled combat mechanics and animations. Anyone who owns the Xbox 360 version of the game will be given a 33% discount on the release until June 30th as well as an exclusive character named Gurubani Kaur.
When released, State of Decay: Year-One Survival Edition will feature new achievements up to 1500 Gamer Score, a new mission type that involves collecting supply crates from remote areas on the map, stronger vehicles such as SUVs and new weaponry to take down the undead.
Bandai Namco are really treating Dragon Ball Xenoverse like a AAA title and that can only mean one thing… DLC! The first DLC pack will be available in March and will focus on GT with three new characters in GT Kid Goku, Pan & GT Trunks. There will be 4 new Time Patrol (story mode) missions with one confirmed to be centered around Golden Great Ape Baby Vegeta, 12 new Paralell Quests, 15 New Special Moves for the players’ avatars including Vegeta’s Final Shine attack and 5 new costumes which seem to revolve around Dragon Ball as we can see a Devil Man Suit and Launch costume. The first DLC pack lands in March, one month after the game releases.
The second pack is a complete mystery at this point with nothing being unveiled besides the fact it will contain exclusive Playable Characters, Quests (it is unclear if they are new story missions or the online co-op parallel missions), Special moves and costumes. Interestingly, the third and final pack will contain content Japan is getting as a pre-order bonus. So far all we is that it includes Jaco the Galactic Patrol Man as a playable character and a Master Roshi costume set. It will also feature some ambiguous highly exclusive content. Both these packs do not have specified release dates. The season pass costs $25 in America, with each individual set costing $9.99.
We also have a heap of new screenshots for you to feast your eyes on showing a mix of standard in game content and the new DLC. There is also some sweet artwork of some of the ‘villainous’ Saiyans and of the newly announced GT characters. They confirm some interesting things such as the ability for your created avatar to use the Power Pole (this may just be a special move but fingers crossed it changes your basic move set), a new GT based stage in Tuffle Planet and a new Destroyed City stage, however this may just be the Capsule Corp. City stage we have seen previously with the time of day changed. You can check all those pictures out in the gallery below.
No one is a fan of DLC but I’ll look on the bright side here and be happy we are getting new content, especially new characters and story quests. Let us know in the comments how you feel about the new DLC and what you think is in pack 2 and 3 or what you want to see!
Moon Studios has recently revealed that they plan on releasing the absolutely gorgeous looking puzzle platformer Ori and the Blind Forest on the Xbox One and Steam on March 11th for $19.99 in North America. It is worth noting that an Xbox 360 release was previously announced but Moon Studios did not mention anything about that version during this announcement.
To go along with this announcement the development team released a new five minute gameplay trailer showing off a previously unrevealed part of Ori and the Blind Forest called the ‘Forlorn Ruins’ that features Ori’s gravity warping mechanics.
Capcom has released a pair of new gameplay clips for Resident Evil: Revelations 2 that not only focus on Barry Burton with Natalia Korda, a little girl that seems to have the ability to sense enemies, but also introduces two new enemies that will be appearing in the game.
The first trailer is for a creature called the Revenant that appears to be stitched together from the remains of other corpses with weak spots hidden within their disgusting flesh while the second is for the Glasp, a creature capable of secreting gas to impair the vision of its prey before attacking without warning.
As we’ve previously written, when Senran Kagura: Estival Versus is released on the PS4 and PS Vita it will feature a new dress break feature called “Purupuru Finish” as well as an enhanced Dressing Room and recently a large batch of screenshots for the game showing off these improvements have been released.
In case you didn’t read the details, PuruPuru Finishes are finishes that are triggered due to specific conditions such as slipping on soap that results in the complete destruction of the costume, a number of which are shown below. As for the Dressing Room, a number of new outfits have been revealed and shown in the screenshots below and players will now be able to have five girls in the room at one time as well as the ability to pull clothing and various other actions.
