Spiders, the developers behind Mars War Logs and Bound By Flame joined Focus Home Interactive today in announcing their next project, The Technomancer.

The RPG takes place in the same universe as Mars War Logs. The player takes on the role of a Technomancer, the cybernetic warrior-mages encountered in the first game. The hero is on the run from the Secret Police during the War of Water. The story features five different endings based on the player’s choices. Many disagreements in the game can be solved peacefully with the dialogue system.

Madman to Screen Studio Ghibli’s ‘When Marnie Was There’ in Australian Cinemas

Madman Entertainment has just announced that they will be screening both English-subtitled and dubbed versions of Studio Ghibli’s latest film, When Marnie Was There (Omoide no Marnie), in cinemas across Australia between May 14 and 27, 2015. The film is based on the novel by Joan G. Robinson, and is the second feature film by Hiromasa Yonebayashi, who previously directed Arrietty for Studio Ghibli.

Madman provided a synopsis for the film:

Twelve-year-old Anna believes she sits outside the invisible magic circle to which most people belong, and shuts herself off from everyone around her.

Concerned for her health, Anna’s foster mother decides to send her to rural Hokkaido to stay in a sleepy town by the sea. As she dreams her days away amongst the marshes, Anna finds herself strangely drawn to the enigmatic house which sits upon the edge there. This is where she meets Marnie, an energetic young girl who seems to appear from nowhere. The pair quickly become inseparable.

One evening, Marnie makes a heartfelt request of Anna: “Promise me something – that we’ll remain a secret, forever.” Anna begins to wonder about her newfound friend and is compelled to investigate the truth about her. As she is drawn deeper into Marnie’s world, she begins to learn about family, friendship and kindness.

According to a new report posted by Webush, Michael Pachter — one of the games industry’s leading analysts — predicts that EA will release both Mirror’s Edge 2 and Mass Effect 4 by the end of March 2016.

According to VideoGamer, Pachter and his analytic team predict that EA’s 2016 fiscal year will see the release of four titles from four major franchises: a new Need for SpeedStar Wars: BattlefrontMirror’s Edge 2, and Mass Effect 4. We already know that the next Need for Speed and Star Wars: Battlefront are slated to be released before the end of 2015, but no dates have been given for the Mirror’s Edge or Mass Effect sequels. The 2016 fiscal year runs from April 2015 through March 2016.

“FY:16 is expected to feature incremental releases Mass Effect 4, Mirror’s Edge 2, a new Need For Speed game, and Star Wars: Battlefront, as well as meaningful re-orders for Battlefield Hardline, which launched in late Q4:15.”

We have not heard anything about the upcoming Mirror’s Edge sequel since E3 2014, when they just let us know that they were still working on it since their announcement a year prior at E3 2013. As for Mass Effect 4, we have not seen or heard anything other than tweets from BioWare employees. But with E3 in June and San Diego Comic-Con in July, there are plenty of chances for EA to tease us a bit before the fiscal year end.

Eugen System Introduces US Army Faction in Act of Aggression in New Trailer

act-of-aggression-promo-art-001

Eugen Systems’ new game Act of Aggression is a throwback to the golden era of RTS games. Today, the veteran RTS developers released a new trailer revealing a treasure trove of information on the US Army faction, one of three in Act of Aggression.

Set in the near future, the US Army is a group of dogged veterans suffering from budget cuts and aging equipment. However, this does not stop them from being the toughest bad boy on the block. Between the M1 Abrams tank that has been striking fear into the enemy since the Gulf War and their heavily defended bases, the US Army is a tough team to kill. The US Army’s biggest weakness is their difficulty in reacting to changing threats, a painful reliance of copious amounts of electricity for defense, and an inability to process newer rare earth minerals.

The next video will cover the United Nations funded peacekeeping force named Chimera, followed by the private military contractors known as The Cartel. Act of Aggression launches in Spring of 2015 for PC. Those who pre-order the game will have exclusive access to the beta in the coming months.

First Look at Daredevil’s Red Suit in New Netflix Series

daredevil-promo-art-001

Despite Marvel’s Daredevil coming to Netflix tomorrow, we have still only seen the black costume inspired by Frank Miller and John Romita, Jr.’s Daredevil: Man Without Fear comics. Namely, this:

daredevil-promo-art-002

But now, thanks to a new YouTube teaser from Marvel and Netflix, we have our first glimpse of Charlie Cox in the infamous red suit for which Daredevil is most well known. If you want to wait until your Netflix binge to see the red suit, I’d advise skipping the video after the jump. For everyone else, check out the twenty-second teaser below:

I guess that answers the question of whether or not we will see good ol’ Matt Murdock don the red leather in this first season with a resounding YES. I suppose the question now should be: What do you think of Marvel’s new Daredevil costume? Which is better: the new Cox suit or 2003’s Affleck suit?

Marvel’s Daredevil premieres on Netflix tomorrow, April 10.
