Drakensang Online: Rise of Balor – Biggest Expansion Ever Coming in August

Drakensang Online: Rise of Balor – Biggest Expansion Ever Coming in August

Bigpoint adds a whole new continent, over 150 new quests, items, monsters and a completely redesigned skill system to its hack’n’slay RPG.

Hamburg, Germany, July 28th 2015 | A new era is dawning in Drakensang Online! Bigpoint, one of the world’s leading developers and publishers of online games, today announced the release of the biggest expansion ever for its successful action RPG. The add-on is called “Rise of Balor” and will be available in August 2015. This marks the beginning of a series of new features coming to Drakensang Online through the end of the year.

Meet the Most Powerful Boss in the History of Drakensang Online!

The expansion unveils a whole new continent filled with exciting challenges for advanced heroes. The update raises the maximum level from 45 to 50 and adds 150 brand new quests, NPCs and monsters to the world of Dracania. For the first time since the release of Drakensang Online, players will come face-to-face with a living, breathing dragon! Battling fierce monsters will be rewarded with epic armor, weapons and new item sets. The storyline continues in “Rise of Balor”. Ancient mysteries come to light and an evil being from long-forgotten times reawakens. The task seems clear: vanquish the forces of evil and save the world—but all is not as it seems. Unanticipated twists and turns guarantee excitement and suspense, even for players who think they’ve already seen everything the world of Dracania has to offer.

Tropical Heat and Wild Beasts: Welcome to Lor’Tac!

The unveiling of the new continent Lor’Tac marks a whole new chapter in the story of Drakensang Online. The design of the territory is influenced by the Aztec and Polynesian cultures. The setting: a tropical rainforest in which players will encounter two new tribes and battle monsters on more than ten new maps.

More Tactical Options for Character Development

And that’s not all! The skill system in Drakensang Online has been reworked from the ground up, converted to a skill and talent mastery system for all four character classes. Players can freely distribute their talent points as they like and experiment with specializations. This opens up new strategic possibilities for character development and encourages customized play styles.

The update also includes reimagined graphics and character lightning as well as a range of technical improvements. The experience for first-time players was already massively improved a few months ago, and loads of new content and features will follow through the end of 2015.

Note: The developers will be giving a special pre-release presentation of the new features and content in Drakensang Online: “Rise of Balor” at Gamescom, Cologne. Appointments are still available.

Lor’Tac Bound – Harbingers of Corruption – Pre-release Event

To make the wait for the release more bearable, Bigpoint has launched a new world event. It’s called “Lor’Tac Bound – Harbingers of Corruption” and will last until the release of “Rise of Balor”. In the event, sinister rifts and portals appear in Dracania, leaving destruction in their wake. To put an end to these dark forces, players must collect Corrupted Andermagic from special monsters they kill, the only way to enter the rifts and gain access to a Realm Chamber leading in Lor’Tac. Beware, for even more dangerous foes lurk on the other side! Players who defeat these enemies receive Tablet Fragments they can exchange for powerful equipment once they reach Lor’Tac.

SHIN MEGAMI TENSEI DEVIL SURVIVOR 2: RECORD BREAKER COMING TO AUSTRALIA AND NEW ZEALAND IN NOVEMBER 2015!

SHIN MEGAMI TENSEI DEVIL SURVIVOR 2: RECORD BREAKER COMING TO AUSTRALIA AND NEW ZEALAND IN  NOVEMBER 2015!

NIS America is very happy to announce that the strategy RPG, Shin Megami Tensei Devil Survivor 2: Record Breaker is coming to Australia and New Zealand in November 2015 for the Nintendo 3DS™ as both a physical and digital release! Atlus U.S.A., Inc. will be publishing the game in North America.

About the game:

The world of Record Breaker is on the brink of non-existence. Just before the heralding of the apocalypse, when life was normal, some thrill-seekers were registering on a website that promised to deliver fake videos of their friends being killed. As people wondered what these videos could mean, an invasion began and humanity was forced to face a struggle to survive in an unprecedented catastrophe. For the main character and his friends, they stand up for humanity when the very same website uploads an application on their cell phones, summoning demons. From there, newly minted demon tamers begin the fight to survive and save the future of mankind, but the protagonist’s decisions aren’t without consequences. What he chooses may save the lives of his friends, or seal their fate.

Key Features:

Tactical Combat with a Side of Demon Fusion – The elements that make the Devil Survivor series great are back and better than ever with robust, turn-based strategic combat. Since the game is part of the Shin Megami Tensei franchise, fusing demons together to form a stronger army is back as a core mechanic!

Choose Your Own Fate – The line between life and death is razor-thin in Record Breaker. Actions have their consequences, and in the wake of the apocalypse, a wrong choice can result in the permanent death of a character. Multiple endings present the challenge of making all the right choices at the right time.

Tons of Extra Content Record Breaker expands on the original Devil Survivor 2 by nearly doubling the amount of storyline for a total of more than 100 hours of strategic game play and consuming plot, with the additional mystery of Miyako Hotsuin to unravel.

New Personalities to Discover – For the first time, Devil Survivor 2 is getting fully voiced English story dialogue. The voiced dialogue in both the new content and the original story gives added depth in bringing the game’s characters to life from ominous beginning to dramatic end.

INK-TASTIC NEW CONTENT COMING TO SPLATOON WITH A MAJOR UPDATE RELEASING ON 6th AUGUST

INK-TASTIC NEW CONTENT COMING TO SPLATOON WITH A MAJOR UPDATE RELEASING ON 6th AUGUST

28th July, 2015 –  On 6th August, a free software update for Splatoon on Wii U brings a large amount of new content to the game, including two new matchmaking modes, new weapon types, an increase to the game’s level-cap and more than 40 pieces of new gear. Players will now be able to create a winning strategy and fight to be the best and most battle tested squid-squad around.

The new update introduces Squad Battle and Private Battle matchmaking options. In Squad Battle, players can participate in Ranked Battle rule sets with friends, rather than being teamed up with other players through a random selection. After a player creates a squad, friends can be recruited to form a team of two to four Inklings. Friends will always play together on the same team and battle against other squads at random.

In Private Battle, friends can splat it up in private, customisable matches. Two to eight friends can battle together by selecting their favourite map, mode and weapons. The number of participants ranges from 1v1 to 4v4, but teams don’t have to be even: if the host chooses, he or she can select a 1v4, 1v2, or any other combination of players.

With this robust new update also comes an increased level cap in both Regular Battle and Ranked Battle modes. After downloading the software update, players will be able to reach level 50 (raised from level 20) and rank S and S+ in Ranked Battle (both higher than A+).

While Inklings around the world are enjoying and mastering the current arsenal of weapons in Splatoon, two new weapon types will be available with the update, adding a new layer of strategy to the game. The bucket-like Slosher weapons hurl ink straight ahead at an impressive range. By adjusting the angle, these new weapons can be used to splat opponents who are up high or even on the other side of a wall. With the Gatling-style Splatling, players can charge all-powerful ink. A maximum charge unleashes the full potential of this particular weapon type. In addition to the new weapons, more than 40 pieces of gear, including everything from a leather jacket to a sushi-chef costume are coming to the various in-game shops in Splatoon.

Despite its size and scope, this massive August update is not the end of the splat-tacular free content coming to Splatoon. Following this update, more content will continually roll out through the rest of the winter and into spring, including the Rainmaker Ranked Battle mode, additional maps and new weapons. More details on these additions will be revealed in the future.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare’s Fourth DLC Pack Delivers Four All-New Multiplayer Maps, Return of the Exo Grapple Playlist and New Trident Reflected Energy Weapon

Delivers the Epic Conclusion to Advanced Warfare’s Exo Zombies saga, featuring all-star cast John Malkovich, Bill Paxton, Rose McGowan, Jon Bernthal and Bruce Campbell Reckoning Arrives First, Exclusively on Xbox August 5th

Sydney, Australia – July 28, 2015 – Call of Duty®: Advanced Warfare wraps up an extraordinary DLC season with the release of the fourth and final DLC pack, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Reckoning, coming August 5 first on Xbox Live, the world’s premier gaming community from Microsoft for Xbox One and Xbox 360, with other platforms to follow.  Reckoning features four all-new maps that takes players from New Baghdad all the way to South Korea as they grapple their way out of ship-fired missile strikes, dodge plasma lamp explosions and boost jump off crumbling glaciers; the return of the Exo Grapple playlist and the thrilling conclusion to Exo Zombies.

“We’ve had an absolute blast supporting the fans throughout the DLC season, and continue to come up with fun new ways to play Advanced Warfare.  The support and feedback we’ve received from the community continues to inspire us, and we’ve taken that inspiration to heart with Reckoning to deliver a new set of multiplayer maps and the conclusion to Exo Zombies.  We are grateful to all of our fans and hope everyone enjoys playing the new content as much as we enjoyed creating it,” said Michael Condrey, Co-Founder and Studio Head, Sledgehammer Games.

“What an amazing journey this has been.  From the moment we began with prototyping Advanced Warfare all the way to the completion of our fourth DLC pack, Reckoning, it’s been an incredible experience. We’ve often said we have the best fans in the world, and we mean it.  We look forward to continuing to support our fans,” said Glen Schofield, Co-Founder and Studio Head, Sledgehammer Games.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Reckoning includes four intense new multiplayer maps, all featuring the new Exo Grapple mechanic, which delivers more fast-paced multiplayer combat than ever before.

  • Overload: Enjoy the grand view of downtown New Baghdad from this exotic compound, complete with fountains, gardens and decorative plasma lamps. The map’s multiple levels and long perimeter site-lines highlight medium to long-range combat, and firing a shot at the lamps will send enemies flying in a burst of energy.
  • Quarantine: Following a deadly viral outbreak, the island has been converted into a biological testing centre.  This medium sized map’s tight corners dial up the speed and open areas combine to allow for any style of gameplay.  Activate the map-based scorestreak to unleash a devastating ship-fired missile strike.
  • Fracture: Discover what secrets are locked in the ice in this arctic excavation site. Take refuge behind wind turbines and heavy equipment through large combat areas cradled on the shelf of a glacier. Stay alert as the timed event cracks the ice sheet, sending one lane sinking to the depths.
  • Swarm: Reconstruction is underway in Seoul, South Korea, congesting narrow corridors of this small to medium sized map with vehicles and equipment. Take position in war-scarred storefronts that provide plenty of cover over the streets or flank the enemy through close quarter interiors in the centre of the map.

Closing out the final DLC Pack for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is the dramatic conclusion of the Exo Zombies saga with the last episode, Descent.  In the last episode, the team – Bill Paxton (Aliens, Titanic, Edge of Tomorrow), Rose McGowan (Planet Terror, Scream), Jon Bernthal (Fury, The Wolf of Wall Street) and new member Bruce Campbell (Army of Darkness, Burn Notice), are about to escape from the Atlas aircraft carrier on which they’ve been stranded.  But before they do, they discover their friend and original squad member, John Malkovich (In the Line of Fire, RED, Burn After Reading), has been turned, and is now among the undead.  Descent introduces a remote ocean Atlas survival facility, new “fused” exo zombie enemies, and the Trident Reflected Energy Weapon.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Reckoning will be available first on Xbox Live for a suggested retail price of $19.95 on August 5.  The Reckoning DLC Pack is also included in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare’s DLC Season Pass*, featuring all four DLC Packs planned for the year, as part of the discounted bundle.**

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare DLC is developed by Sledgehammer Games with additional development by Raven Software and High Moon Studios.  Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is published by Activision Publishing, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Activision Blizzard (Nasdaq: ATVI), and is available for Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation®4, PC, as well as Xbox 360 games and entertainment system from Microsoft and PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system. The Terminator will be Playable in WWE 2K16; Announcement Trailer Revealed

terminator-wwe-2k16-01

Well that is news. Today WWE Games and 2k announced the latest addition for WWE 2K16, which will be none other than The Terminator. Yes, the Arnold Terminator. That is correct.

A new trailer was revealed today showing the big surprise, with several superstars in a bar before Schwarzenegger comes in and approaches Ambrose, who puts his cigar out on The Terminator’s chest. Of course Arnie doesn’t flinch – showing his true cyborg self. Its a neat trailer I suppose, but I am not impressed at all with this announcement. For a game that took away its creative aspects in lieu of DLC, seeing a character I could have easily made enter the fray is just disheartening knowing we couldn’t even make a Diva last time around. We shall see. Ignore my cynicism and watch the clip below as for many, this is kind of a big deal.

Tembo the Badass Elephant Review

Tembo the Badass Elephant
Developer: Game Freak
Publisher: Sega
Platforms: Playstation 4 (Reviewed), Xbox One, PC
Release Date: July 21, 2015
Price: $14.99 USD – Available Here

Overview
Game Freak rarely work outside of the Pokemon franchise, but when they do, it usually is something truly special that acts as a refreshing gift to gamers. HarmoKnight displayed a lot of charm when it debuted on the 3DS – but that was Game Freak working on a portable Nintendo platform. Tembo the Badass Elephant is a first in a lot of ways, as it marks Game Freak’s trek outside of the big N featuring a boastful new mascot who is all brawn. A platformer first and foremost, this title is here to take us back and bring us forward in the genre at the same time. How does this peanut chomping hero live up to Game Freak’s storied legacy? Let’s find out.

tembo-the-badass-elephant-screenshot-04

Gameplay
The first thing to talk about in Tembo the Badass Elephant is your objective. Players must take control of their brave little elephant and take him through a great number of stages, stampeding enemies as he works to stop an invasion on Shell City. Think of Tembo as Rambo in elephant form, dressed in tough yet appealing gear with a massive love of peanuts. Its your job as the player to save citizens, destroy tanks, and defeat bosses across the 18 levels within – and let me say that as someone who grew up on platformers, this title scratches that itch and provides an experience close to Donkey Kong Country and Sonic. Wait a minute before you take that comparison in though, as its unfair to compare a title like Tembo to those two on gameplay alone, as it mainly consists of the same structure with its own medley of features to stand completely apart.

tembo-the-badass-elephant-screenshot-02

While yes – you will be doing a ton of platforming in Tembo, you also will be solving puzzles and simply destroying both the environment and enemies to progress forward. Momentum comes into play with Tembo’s charge attack. While he is stout and husky, this badass elephant can barrel through nearly anything as long as nothing attacks him first. For instance, if a tank is blocking your path, a nice ram will sort it out quickly. Most large foes don’t go down with one hit either, so the player must use their platforming with this bit of momentum to ram, and quickly think on their feet as they jump up and get a bit more distance to ram again. I have seen a lot of titles that try to do this and miss a beat as the protagonist is either too slow or overly fast- making for some clunky gameplay that slows down the action in order for the player to get an idea of what the obstacle is in front of them. Tembo however is far more organic, allowing the player to learn about their surroundings through experimentation, meaning you can haul ass through a stage and have a blast – with the stops and hurdles throughout only complimenting the clever design.

tembo-the-badass-elephant-screenshot-03

Tembo has plenty of other attacks as he can use his trunk to uppercut, decimate targets with a ground pound, and even squirt water from his trunk to stun. The water goes a long way as well, as several environmental puzzles require the player to use water on other corresponding elements in order to progress through. By this, I mean if a fire is in your way – put it out with your trunk. There are several uses for this little tactic that blend well with the fast-paced gameplay- but do know that this is not really a puzzle-platformer by any means. Tembo’s greatest strength is having to balance on high platforms and launch up to one small, moving pillar as quick as possible, and not giving our long-nosed pal the full credit for refining the genre would definitely be a crime in and of itself. It would also be a crime to not mention the boss battles that make each area end on a spectacular note. There are several creative bosses where you will be tasked to use several mechanics that you learn over time in a creative way, but nothing beats the fantastic finale that pulls everything together to let this elephant go out with a massive punch. If I had any gripe about Tembo, it would be that it could get a bit too busy in some small areas, making it a tad confusing on which path to take. Now this will come down to preference, but the lack of natural direction did show up a couple of times to cause a bit of minor frustration from time to time.

tembo-the-badass-elephant-screenshot-05

Visuals
Tembo the Badass Elephant gets a lot of its appeal from its art design. The game is wonderfully animated from beginning to end, and almost appears as if you were watching a live cartoon due to how fluid both Tembo and the environment interact with each other. Little touches go a long way creating a one-of-a-kind atmosphere as well, such as the word BADASS following Tembo as he gains momentum in a comic-like font, as well as citizens who bounce on your back after being saved as if they were riding a wild coaster. You can definitely tell Game Freak took their time to pour love in Tembo, and its awesome presentation is all the proof one needs to see that these developers can do so much more than Pokemon.

tembo-the-badass-elephant-screenshot-01

Audio
The audio is also great on many levels. Some tunes trigger intensity and capture the very momentum that is behind our elephant as he stampedes onward, while others just simply reflect his no-nonsense personality or offer a bit of an uneasy feeling to make you stop and take a look around. I also took notice of the sound effects as hearing the smashing and bashing of the stage that you are causing is a very satisfying experience.

Overall
Tembo the Badass Elephant is the platformer that us who grew up years ago have been waiting for. Filled with heart, action, and plenty of over-the-top gimmickry, this title delivers in every way possible, taking the player on a ride with a mascot that very well could have a bright future ahead of him. I know we get a lot of platformers from the indie crowd, but Tembo isn’t about introducing art or some oddball mechanic in order to enthrall the player. Instead, he takes his trunk and moves forward, offering unstoppable fun until those credits roll.

I’m Back” – 2K Announces Arnold Schwarzenegger as the Terminator in WWE® 2K16 Pre-Order Exclusive

Blockbuster action film star, 38th Governor of California, former professional bodybuilder and WWE Hall of Famer featured as two playable characters in flagship WWE video game franchise
New York, NY – July 27, 2015 – 2K today announced the debut of 2015 WWE Hall of Fame inductee and global action film icon Arnold Schwarzenegger in WWE® 2K16, the forthcoming release in the flagship WWE franchise. Best known for his acting, bodybuilding and political endeavors, Schwarzenegger, a longtime WWE fan and WWE Hall of Famer, will expand his relationship with WWE through WWE 2K16 with two playable characters – T-800 from The Terminator and Terminator 2: Judgment Day films. The playable characters will be available for those who pre-order the game at participating retailers for the PlayStation®4 and PlayStation®3 computer entertainment systems, as well as Xbox One and Xbox 360. WWE 2K16 is scheduled for release on October 27, 2015 in North America and October 30, 2015 internationally.
“I’ve achieved many things in my life, but I’ve always said success means staying hungry and pushing the limits,” said Schwarzenegger. “I was honored to join the WWE Hall of Fame earlier this year, and now I’ll continue my WWE legacy with one of my biggest film roles immortalized in WWE 2K16. Match the Terminator against Stone Cold Steve Austin®, Seth Rollins® or Daniel Bryan®, and there’s only one possible outcome: Hasta la vista, baby!”

From early childhood in his native Austria to today, Schwarzenegger represents the ultimate Renaissance man, taking risks and defying odds through career accomplishments in bodybuilding, acting, politics and more. He won his first of four Mr. Universe titles at the age of 20, earned seven Mr. Olympia titles and since 1989 has hosted worldwide fitness expositions through the Arnold Sports Festival. Schwarzenegger is a fixture in numerous blockbuster action films, including Conan the Barbarian, The Terminator, Predator, Total Recall, Terminator 2: Judgment Day, The Expendables franchise and his most recent release, Terminator Genisys, as well as for his roles in pop-culture favorites Kindergarten Cop and Twins. In addition, Schwarzenegger transcended from Hollywood to the state capitol, serving two consecutive terms as the 38th Governor of California from 2003 to 2010.
“Arnold Schwarzenegger is a living legend with universal appeal, a perseverance for greatness and a strong relationship with WWE, including his recent Hall of Fame induction, all of which make him an incredible fit for WWE 2K16,” said Chris Snyder, Vice President of Marketing at 2K. “He’s a force to be reckoned with and defines what it means to raise some hell. Through his WWE 2K16 pre-order inclusion, fans simply can’t beat the opportunity to play as the Terminator in a WWE ring.”

Forward-Looking Statements: This press release contains forward-looking statements pursuant to the safe harbor provisions of the Securities Litigation Reform Act of 1995, which are subject to various risks and uncertainties. These risks and uncertainties include, without limitation, risks relating to: WWE Network; major distribution agreements; our need to continue to develop creative and entertaining programs and events; a decline in the popularity of our brand of sports entertainment; the continued importance of key performers and the services of Vincent K. McMahon; possible adverse changes in the regulatory atmosphere and related private sector initiatives; the highly competitive, rapidly changing and increasingly fragmented nature of the markets in which we operate and greater financial resources or marketplace presence of many of our competitors; uncertainties associated with international markets; our difficulty or inability to promote and conduct our live events and/or other businesses if we do not comply with applicable regulations; our dependence on our intellectual property rights, our need to protect those rights, and the risks of our infringement of others’ intellectual property rights; the complexity of our rights agreements across distribution mechanisms and geographical areas; potential substantial liability in the event of accidents or injuries occurring during our physically demanding events including, without limitation, claims relating to CTE; large public events as well as travel to and from such events; our feature film business; our expansion into new or complementary businesses and/or strategic investments; our computer systems and online operations; a possible decline in general economic conditions and disruption in financial markets; our accounts receivable; our revolving credit facility; litigation; our potential failure to meet market expectations for our financial performance, which could adversely affect our stock; Vincent K. McMahon exercising control over our affairs, and his interests may conflict with the holders of our Class A common stock; a substantial number of shares which are eligible for sale by the McMahons and the sale, or the perception of possible sales, of those shares could lower our stock price; and the relatively small public “float” of our Class A common stock. In addition, our dividend is dependent on a number of factors, including, among other things, our liquidity and cash flow, strategic plan (including alternative uses of capital), our financial results and condition, contractual and legal restrictions on the payment of dividends (including under our revolving credit facility), general economic and competitive conditions and such other factors as our Board of Directors may consider relevant.
