Top Gear’s ‘The Stig’ Joins DJR Team Penske and the Xbox Car this Weekend at the Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000

2015 #17 Xbox Racing Ford Falcon FG X will be at Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 this weekend. Marcos Ambrose and Scott Pye will be driving it for for Team DJR Penske. Before the race, gamers can play Forza Motorsport 6 in the Drive it to Win contest. Up for grabs is a hot lap around Bathurst 1000 with The Stig, an official driver suit from the weekend, and their Xbox Gamer Tag emblazoned on the #17 Ford Falcon FG X racing car, and on the Bathurst raceway.

Xbox One is Part of the New Era of Windows 10 Devices

Microsoft had some major hardware announcements this past Tuesday in NYC. The new Surface Pro 4, the Surface Book, an upgraded Microsoft Band, and new Lumia smartphones were announced. Additionally, new details of the Microsoft Hololens was released. Plus, Terry Myerson announced that the Xbox One UX will be upgraded to a special Xbox One build of Windows 10.

Halo 5: Guardians Goes Gold

After three years of development, Halo 5: Guardians has been sent to the factory to be pressed onto Blu-Ray discs. The game launches on Xbox One on October 27th. There will be a major multiplayer content update containing maps for Arena Multiplayer and 12 vs 12 Warzone will be released ahead of launch, so those who have pre-ordered the game digitally should ensure their Xbox One is set to Instant On to ensure the content is downloaded ahead of time.

New Halo 5: Guardians Television Commercial Revealed

The advertising blitz is in full swing as we approach the launch of Halo 5: Guardians. Microsoft released a new live action TV commercial for the game this week that sets the stage for the hunt for Master Chief.

I don’t know wrestling fans, I am more unsure about this than I am of having Rikishi in the Hall of Fame without Too Cool alongside him. If anything, this is a honest look of what is inside from 2K, even though it ups the price by forty bones. Check out the clip below for a better look.

Tales from the Borderlands’ Final Episode Set for October 20 Release

Today Telltale Games announced that the first episode of their amazing Tales from the Borderlands series is now available for free on multiple platforms and they even released a trailer, found below, full of little spoilers for the rest of the season in order to try and reel in those who have been on the fence this whole time.

There is a good reason for that too because at the end of this video they also announced that the fifth and final episode of Tales from the Borderlands, The Vault of the Traveler, will be released on October 20th though for now all we have of the episode is a small teaser clip at the end of the trailer.

New Atelier Sophie: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Book Trailer Released

Koei Tecmo and Gust have released a new trailer for Atelier Sophie: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Book to show off how the protagonist Sophie wants to use her alchemy skills to make those around her happy and that it will require a lot of studying in order to become proficient enough to do that.

The video then goes on to show off a bit of combat and alchemy as Sophie continues to learn more as she promises to bring back all of Plachta’s memories. Atelier Sophie: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Book is scheduled to be released in Japan on November 19, 2015 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation Vita.

Street Fighter V Newcomer Laura Matsuda Officially Announced

After being leaked a solid week early by Famitsu, Capcom officially announced that newcomer Laura Matsuda will be joining the Street Fighter V at the exact event everyone thought they would be revealing her at, the Brazil Game Show.

In order to go along with her reveal we have been given an official gameplay reveal trailer and a handful of screenshots that you can check out below to see how she will play when Street Fighter V is released for the PlayStation 4 and PC in spring 2016. Also found below are more details concerning her V-Skill and details about the character.

About Laura
Joining the series from her homeland in Brazil, Laura Matsuda is a Jiu-Jitsu specialist, a first for the Street Fighter series. Continuing the tradition of the famed Matsuda fighting style, Laura is constantly looking for strong opponents around the world to defeat, in an effort to spread the Matsuda Jiu-Jitsu’s name and prestige. Laura’s methodical grapple technique comes equipped with a stunning “Thunder Clap” projectile that zaps opponents and leaves them questioning if they should get in close, or keep their distance. By activating her “Spark Show” state, Laura’s projectiles fly further and her attacks and grabs have increased stun damage. Using a variety of quick moving attacks and effective command grabs, Laura will become a favorite for players who enjoy “up close and personal” mind games.
V-Skill: Linear Movement
By holding either back or forward and pressing medium punch + medium kick, Laura moves in the corresponding direction, getting her in and out of the opponent’s range at will. If no direction is held during the V-Skill activation, she will perform an overhead kick.
V-Trigger: Spark Show
Laura gets ready to zap the competition when she activates Spark Show. During her electrifying state, Laura’s Thunder Clap projectile flies further, she deals more stun on her attacks and grabs, and moves around further during her Linear Movements.

Dengeki Bunko: Fighting Climax Ignition Adds Kuroko Shirai as Playable Fighter

Although the original version of the game just released in North America earlier this week by Sega, the enhanced Dengeki Bunko: Fighting Climax Ignition is still well on its way for release in Japan on December 17th for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation Vita and this week the developers announced that they are adding in A Certain Magical Index/Scientific Railgun’s Kuroko Shirai as a playable fighter character, utilizing her teleportation abilities to defeat opponents and Kazari Uiharu from the same series will also be appearing as a new support character.

These two characters join the already expanded roster of Emi Yusa from The Devil Is a Part-Timer!, Quenser Barbotage from Heavy Object, and Tatsuya Shiba from The Irregular at Magic High School.

“Star Wars Rebels^TM: Recon Missions,^” the side-scrolling adventurer for iOS, Android and Windows Devices, launched today a new update timed with the upcoming season two premiere of the hit TV show Star Wars Rebels™ on Disney XD. The update features the ability for players to purchase two new characters, favourite Rebels, Hera and Ahsoka. In addition, the update comes with two new free ice levels for players to battle the frigid elements as they infiltrate an Imperial fortress.

“Star Wars Rebels^TM: Recon Missions” launched in March of 2015 as the first mobile action-platformer set in the Star Wars Rebels™ universe. In the game, fans battle as Ezra Bridger to thwart the actions of the Empire and save the citizens of Lothal from Imperial control.

The new “Star Wars Rebels^TM: Recon Missions” features:

Play as Hera or Ahsoka – Players can now unlock Rebel characters, Hera and Ahsoka. Fans can now use Ahsoka’s “Lightsaber Throw” to lead the charge and take down the Empire.

Stella Glow’s Regnant Knights Introduced in New Trailer

While the Witches that can be recruited to fight alongside Stella Glow‘s protagonist Alto, they won’t be the only ones helping him in the fight against Hilda, the Witch of Destruction. He will also be joined by the Regnant Knights’ 9th Regiment, the squad Alto just so happens to belong to and his fellow squad members Archibald, Rusty, and Klaus, are all more than willing to help.

You can check out a new trailer from Atlus USA introducing the Regnant Knights below as well as a handful of screenshots for Stella Glow. As for the title’s release date, it is currently set to be released on November 17th in North America and in Spring 2016 in Europe.

Nitroplus Blasterz: Heroines Infinite Duel to Appear at SoCal 2015 Regionals

As you may have already heard, the latest anime cross-over fighting game that people were doubting would be released in the West, Nitroplus Blasterz: Heroines Infinite Duel, is indeed getting a console release in the West courtesy of XSEED Games sometime this winter season for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 and in order to help raise fan hype a bit, the company has announced that they are planning a special tournament.

Nitroplus Blasterz: Heroines Infinite Duel will appear at the SoCal 2015 Regionals Main Event beginning tomorrow, October 9 through October 11 at the Ontario Convention Center where a Best of 3 tournament format will be held with 32 competitors allowed and the prize distribution is as follows: 1st place – $250, 2nd place – $150 and 3rd place – $64 (or a total sum of entries). The entry fee for participants is set at $2.

Fans to receive an exclusive first look at Play Set during New York Comic-Con panel

GLENDALE, CA – (OCTOBER 8, 2015) Today, Disney Interactive revealed details for Marvel Battlegrounds, the upcoming Play Set for Disney Infinity 3.0, featuring a new four-player, arcade brawler style of gameplay, and an original Marvel storyline. Developed by United Front Games, in partnership with Avalanche Software, Marvel Battlegrounds is the first Disney Infinity Play Set to feature four-player gameplay. With full compatibility for all Disney Infinity Marvel characters, Marvel Battlegrounds features the widest selection of playable characters of any previous Play Set.

“With Disney Infinity 3.0, we’ve aimed to provide a wider variety of gameplay than ever before, and the Marvel Battlegrounds Play Set represents our commitment to developing something entirely new for our players,” said John Blackburn, SVP & GM of Disney Infinity. “The four-player arena style combat gameplay is a perfect way for friends and families to come together and play in head-to-head battles with some of their favorite Marvel characters.”

Launching in March 2016, Marvel Battlegrounds will feature Hulkbuster, Ultron and Captain America – The First Avenger, a new version of Captain America with a new pose, costume and enhanced abilities. Additional Marvel Battlegrounds figures will be announced in the coming months. All Disney Infinity 2.0 Marvel figures will be playable in the Play Set and will feature adapted abilities and skills to complement the new style of gameplay of Marvel Battlegrounds.

In the original storyline, Ultron teams up with Loki in an effort to steal Asgard’s immensely powerful Infinity Stone. To accomplish this, Ultron and Loki create robotic replicas of the famed Marvel Super Heroes and turn them against each other in an effort to distract them while they commit their crime. The Marvel Super Heroes duplicates battle each other in iconic environments such as a wrecked Brooklyn train yard, Wakanda and S.H.I.E.L.D.’s Lunar Base, culminating in a universe-shaking battle against Ultron.
