New Fantasy ARPG Bringer Makes Its Debut at Gamescom 2026

Shanghai, China – August 14th, 2026 – YHKT ENTERTAINMENT has unveiled Bringer, a new narrative-driven fantasy action RPG coming to PC, PlayStation 5 and mobile. Revealed today alongside its debut trailer, Bringer will make its first public playable appearance at Gamescom 2026, where attendees can go hands-on with an early demo at Hall 10.1, Booth E053. Set in an original fantasy world shaped by ancient civilisations, colossal living creatures and buried secrets, Bringer combines fast-paced real-time combat and exploration with cinematic storytelling.

Bringer is a 3D action RPG built around an expansive, story-driven fantasy adventure. Powered by Unreal Engine 5, the game combines cinematic direction, expressive character performances, and meaningful player agency to deliver storytelling that extends beyond traditional pre-rendered cutscenes. Through exploration, combat, and interactive sequences, players will gradually be drawn into this fantasy world and experience the story firsthand rather than simply watch it unfold.

In the world of Bringer, players will embark on an adventure shaped by clashes between civilizations, colossal lifeforms, and an uncertain fate. The story unfolds in a distinctive world defined by the “Thalassa” and colossal creatures known as “Arkiloth.” Playing as a traveler harboring a hidden secret, players will navigate competing factions and ancient mysteries, gradually uncovering the truths buried deep within the world.

At the heart of Bringer is an experience that combines fast-paced action combat with narrative-driven exploration. During combat, players can seamlessly switch between party members in real time, use different weapon modules, and engage in high-intensity encounters. Mechanics such as parries, dodges, and finishers add tactical depth while making every encounter feel responsive and impactful. Meanwhile, story sequences, exploration stages, and combat encounters are tightly integrated, allowing players to remain immersed in the world as the narrative progresses.

The Gamescom 2026 playable demo will showcase real-time gameplay from Bringer, offering international audiences their first opportunity to experience the game’s responsive combat, visual presentation, and cinematic storytelling. Further details, new videos, and development updates will be shared through the game’s official channels.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl Update 2.0 Arrives August 20

The major upgrade, including a new version of the engine, a graphical overhaul, and more, comes free for every owner of the game.

KYIV, UKRAINE — August 14, 2026 – GSC Game World is thrilled to announce that Update 2.0 for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl is launching on August 20, featuring a new version of the engine, a graphic overhaul, three types of binoculars, and much more.

Here’s what all owners of the game are getting for free:

Visual Evolution

Update 2.0 overhauls the Zone’s lighting and visuals:

  • Improved lighting. Players can expect a more natural and immersive look with more realistic shadows and reflections across the environment, both inside buildings and in underground locations.
  • Reworked landscapes and foliage to make the Zone feel more organic.

A-Life Improvements

A-Life now brings more believable activity and encounters to the Zone:

  • More contested points of interest, including campfires, bus stops, and other locations where stalkers and mutants can cross paths.
  • Numerous under-the-hood fixes address issues such as enemies shooting or throwing objects through walls and unexpected overpopulation in certain areas.

Customizable Experience

Update 2.0 introduces Custom Rules, allowing players to tailor the difficulty to their preferred playstyle. Adjust individual settings to create anything from a more forgiving survival experience to a truly hardcore challenge.

Players looking for an even tougher experience can also try Master difficulty and the optional Expedition mode, previously introduced in earlier updates.

Binoculars

Three types of binoculars are now available to help stalkers scout the Zone, identify targets, and plan their next move. Each model features different technology and functionality — find them throughout the Zone or purchase them from certain traders.

New Weapons and Scopes

Update 2.0 expands the arsenal with four new weapons:

  • Arev — assault rifle.
  • GP3A — designated marksman rifle.
  • SKP — designated marksman rifle.
  • Fora-230 — submachine gun.

A unique variant of one of these weapons can also be discovered somewhere in the Zone.

The update also adds new optics, including a x3 scope for Western-bloc weapons and a new red dot sight for Eastern-bloc weapons. Offset aiming has also been expanded beyond NVG use, giving stalkers more freedom to customize their loadouts.

In addition to that:

Fog is now more than a weather effect — it is a gameplay mechanic. Both stalkers and their enemies have reduced visibility and hearing. The Light Rainy weather scenario has also received a visual overhaul to complement the updated environmental presentation.

– A new Statistics page has been added to the PDA, allowing stalkers to track their activity across the Zone.

Bloodsuckers and Fleshes can now feature different appearances depending on their habitat, making encounters with these familiar threats more varied across the Zone.

Since the release of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2, the Zone has continued to evolve alongside the community. Update 2.0 brings together years of feedback, technical improvements, and new ideas to make the Zone a better, stranger, and more immersive place.

On the same day — August 20 — the first major expansion for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2, titled Cost of Hope, launches. This expansion explores the long-running conflict between the well-known factions Duty and Freedom. Players can look forward to numerous hours exploring new locations, including the Iron Forest, CNPP, and Spatial Bubble, while experiencing the iconic atmosphere of the Zone. Upon release, it will be available as part of the Ultimate Edition of the base game, or as a standalone purchase for 29.99 USD/EUR (subject to regional pricing).

Celebrating the upcoming release of Cost of Hope, GSC has also launched a dedicated website where players can vote for their faction of choice. By taking a quick quiz, you can find out which side of the conflict you belong to, cast your vote, and compete for a selection of highly limited and exclusive S.T.A.L.K.E.R.-themed prizes. Find out more here: https://duty-or-freedom.stalker2.com/

The game was completed amid Russia’s full-scale aggression against Ukraine, and the war continues. GSC Game World has been supporting their homeland in every possible way. For those wishing to contribute, we recommend visiting the official charity fund of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy:

This game lets players take on the role of a medieval blacksmith who not only forges weapons and armor but also scours battlefields for resources. Sword & Shield Simulator is also set to come to PlayStation 5 and XBOX Series X|S later.

The simulator is being developed by Polish studio Wildlands Interactive, which is also a co-publisher of the game alongside Ultimate Games S.A.

Gather Loot on the Battlefields and Forge Weapons!

Sword & Shield Simulator is a relaxing medieval blacksmithing simulator with exploration and adventure elements. Players take on the role of a blacksmith who collects scrap on battlefields and then uses the salvaged resources to forge swords, shields, and other kinds of weapons and armor in their smithy.

The title offers advanced blacksmithing mechanics using key tools, including an anvil, furnace, grindstone, chisel, and flux. Notably, in this simulator, a sword, for example, is forged modularly from individual parts (blade, hilt, guard, and so on), while shields are assembled piece by piece.

Players will find the resources needed to craft weapons and armor mainly on battlefields. Gameplay also includes mechanics tied to things like felling trees, hunting, and mining. The developers have prepared mini-games for this too, covering lockpicking, crossbow shooting, and cart repair, among others.

Managing the smithy and trading items play an important role here. In Sword & Shield Simulator, progression is built on an experience and skill system. The game world spans several large regions in total, with additional locations, and there’s no shortage of residents’ stories, intrigue, and secrets of the kingdom.

Sword & Shield Simulator in Early Access

The game will be developed in Early Access for up to around six months. At launch, Sword & Shield Simulator offers 3 regions (Danburg, Bloodlands, and Grainmill), along with more than 140 story missions and many additional tasks.

In the coming months, the game will also gain the larger Talstein region with additional missions, new blacksmithing and resource elements, and expanded options for the materials system, mines, and hunting. The developers will also take the player community’s feedback into account as they develop the game in Early Access.

Sword & Shield Simulator – Key Features:

  • Become a medieval blacksmith
  • Forge new swords and armor
  • Gather loot on the battlefields
  • Complete story missions and side quests
  • Expand and upgrade your smithy
