KOEI TECMO ANNOUNCES PRE-ORDER BONUS CONTENT FOR SAMURAI WARRIORS 4 EMPIRES

KOEI TECMO ANNOUNCES PRE-ORDER BONUS CONTENT FOR SAMURAI WARRIORS 4 EMPIRES

Battle features detailed in brand new gameplay videos!

Hertfordshire, 12th January 2016- Koei Tecmo released today new information focusing on the bonus content available to those who pre-order upcoming strategy epic Samurai Warriors 4 Empires ahead of its scheduled release on 11th March 2016.  The game will be available for PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system (physical and digital), and the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system and PlayStation®Vita handheld system (digital only).

Specifically, fans who pre-order from Independent Retailers (via Centresoft) will receive a ‘Bonus Item Set’, consisting of an additional castle option, the ‘Golden Castle’, the ‘Osaka Campaign’ scenario and an additional costume for Takakage Kobayakawa.

Alternatively, GAME will offer a brand new costume for one of the most popular female characters of the game, Lady Hayakawa. This costume will also be available as an early purchase bonus for fans buying the game via the PlayStation®Network Store

Lady Hayakawa is only one of the historically known women of influence available to players in Samurai Warriors 4 Empires. This title also features the first appearance of indivisualised minor officers with the inclusion of over 200 male and female officers with unique appearance and stats. The officers are based on warriors, known lords and ladies, or dynamic personalities who left their distinct mark in history.

Additionally, Koei Tecmo released two gameplay videos today detailing a few of the options available in battle preparation and whilst on the battlefield. Battle preparation includes choosing which of the tactics or formations proposed by the magistrates to deploy prior to battle.

Tactics can be either basic (i.e. Troop economy, Blocking enemy Aid, or taking action to increase troop strength prior to engagement), deployed before battle, or executable (i.e. Cavalry Charge, Officer Capture Etc), deployed during battle. Formations affect the way the army is structured and offer relevant bonuses on attack, defence, or speed. A well thought out, balanced strategy is essential when choosing formations, as the enemy could use opposing formations to overrun player troops.

Battles in this title follow the classic Empires-style of “Base Battles.” By claiming enemy bases and turning them into allied bases, players can establish “supply lines” linking together strongholds on the battlefield. In this title, they can also claim “chains” of enemy bases by cutting off enemy supply lines and isolating them. An enemy base positioned in between two allied bases will automatically be claimed for the player’s side! Analysing the enemy battalion placements and efficiently working together with allies can help push the lines up until they can lay siege to the main enemy camp.

While maintaining the exhilaration of the “one vs a thousand” battle-style, these options add a wide variety of strategic elements, from planning a route of attack, to deciding which characters to use, and what commands to give to allied officers.

Lindsay Jones Announced as the Final Guest for RTX Australia

The final guest for the upcoming RTX Australia was revealed just yesterday. Rooster Teeth’s Lindsay Jones will be coming down to Sydney for the event, which is being held on the 23rd and 24th of January. The official announcement implies that this may not in fact be the final guest announcement, but no information has been provided yet to suggest that there is any intention to bring more guests to the event.

It was announced shortly before the end of last year that Meg Turney, a host of The Know, and Craig Skistimas, general manager of ScrewAttack, will also be attending the event. Fans of Rooster Teeth and/or ScrewAttack will likely be aware that ScrewAttack joined the Rooster Teeth family late last year.

naruto-storm-collection-boxart-01

If you’ve missed the Naruto Storm series then Bandai Namco is giving you a chance to relive the main trilogy with Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm Collection heading exclusively to the PlayStation 3. The collection will include three titles including the original Storm game, Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm which was released in 2010 and was best known for introducing the 3D playing mechanic to a previously 2D fighting series, very long (but awesome looking) super attacks and it’s unique story mode.

The other two included titles are Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 2 and Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 Full Burst. It seems all DLC content released for all three games will be included. Naruto Generations and Revolution are absent from this collection. Also absent will be a North American release as it seems the collection will be only heading to PAL regions.

This seems to be a very stock standard collection so don’t expect any added features or improved graphics in this release. A February 2016 release window was given with no exact date or price revealed.

HOMEFRONT®: THE REVOLUTION OCCUPIES NORTH AMERICA ON MAY 17TH; SIGN UPS FOR CLOSED BETA NOW LIVE

Exclusive Xbox One Beta Landing on American Soil Next Month

Larkspur, Calif – January 12th, 2015 Deep Silver revealed today that the anticipated upcoming open-world first person shooter, Homefront: The Revolution, will occupy North American retail stores on May 17th, 2016 and May 20th, 2016 in all other territories. Players looking to join the revolution early can sign up now to jump into a closed beta for Homefront: The Revolution, running exclusively on Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft, in February of this year.

A living, breathing, open world responds to your actions – you and your Resistance Cell can inspire a rebellion on the streets and turn Occupation into Revolution, as oppressed civilians take up the fight. But your enemy has the advantage – superior technology, firepower, heavy armor and air support. You must learn the art of guerrilla warfare – ambush, sabotage, infiltration, deception – and fight a running battle through the war-ravaged suburbs of Philadelphia.

In the ‘This is Philadelphia’ trailer released today, citizens get their first chilling glimpse into the world of Occupied Philadelphia in the year 2029: The birthplace of American freedom has been split into three occupied zones, each zone varying in the level of KPA police activity with each unique zone forcing players to adapt new gameplay strategies in order to further the progress of The Revolution. The ‘This is Philadelphia’ trailer showcases the unforgiving Yellow Zone, distinct from the war-ravaged wastelands of the Red Zone, and the highly militarized Green Zones, the Yellow Zone is a densely populated environment offering a unique challenge and gameplay experience to would-be Freedom Fighters.

Xbox One owners can sign up now to join the revolution in the exclusive Homefront: The Revolution closed beta. Places are limited, and the only way to gain access is through acquiring an Xbox One Beta Token; Deep Silver and Xbox will be running a number of promotions over the coming weeks that will offer the opportunity to claim a Token and take part. Your best chance of getting a Beta Token and staying informed of developments is by registering on the official Homefront website at www.Homefront-Game.com.
