Dragonkin: The Banished: A Fourth Playable Hero, a New Environment, and an Even Richer Endgame

0

Lesquin, France, September 15, 2025 – NACON and Eko Software are pleased to announce the release of the second major update for Dragonkin: The Banished, the fantasy medieval Hack ’n’ Slash currently available in Early Access on PC. Available tomorrow, the 16th of September, this new update introduces a brand-new character, an unexplored environment, expanded endgame mechanics, and many other additions inspired both by community feedback and the developers’ vision.

Dragonkin: The Banished is already available in Early Access on Steam and will also launch on consoles at its final release.

A richer endgame and formidable enemies
In order to satisfy both current players and genre enthusiasts, this update significantly expands the endgame with the introduction of new Hunt missions in the Erde-Nor region, including a showdown against the Red Dragon Lord. Chaos Hunts now offer more depth thanks to the new Draconic Tarot system, which lets players influence the conditions of their expeditions with customizable buffs and debuffs. Another major addition is the arrival of a new category of enemies: Champions. Stronger and more challenging to defeat, they enrich combat with fresh mechanics- along with rewards worthy of the effort.

Four playable classes
To give players even more options, the Tracker is now playable and brings her own unique gameplay. This new class will appeal to players seeking dynamism: halfway between an archer and an assassin, she favors playstyles based on anticipation, speed, and decisive combos. Her signature ability is Targeting, a unique skill that allows her to tag enemies and hunt them down.

Since Hack ’n’ Slash fans love customizing their characters, two new abilities have also been added to each of the other classes, further expanding gameplay possibilities. The Knight gains versatility with a ranged basic attack and a defensive skill that heals allies. The Oracle gains new powers that allow her to control distance against enemies or create openings in combat. As for the Barbarian, he now benefits from stronger defensive options. His new basic skill gives him more ranged flexibility, enabling effective mid-range builds.

Explore the volcanic lands of Erde-Nor
In-game content has grown considerably. The arid Erde-Nor region is now open to players, featuring four new maps and a dungeon. This environment promises thrilling battles against the fierce creatures that inhabit it. Among them is the Wyvern, an ancient scorpion transformed by the absorption of Dragon Blood, which will prove a formidable opponent.

A better experience for all players
To better welcome new players, the game’s introduction and Prologue have been completely reworked to deliver a more engaging and fast-paced start to the adventure. The highly requested Loot Filter is now available, letting players automatically sort items according to their preferences. Another awaited feature has also been added: the Death Recap, which allows players to analyse mistakes by reviewing the final seconds before their last fall. Many quality-of-life and interface improvements have also been made to enhance the overall experience.

Finally, Dragonkin is offering a new free cosmetic DLC: Founder Pack 3, now available on Steam.

In Dragonkin: The Banished, players embody one of three available dragon hunters with the objective of freeing humanity from the invading draconic forces. To meet this challenge, the game offers deep theory crafting through various character enhancement mechanics, giving enthusiasts endless build possibilities. Players develop their hero’s abilities through a unique skill system called the Ancestral Grid by associating fragments obtained during their adventure. They also benefit from the City of Montescail, a true hub that allows them to implement their strategy thanks to numerous services. Accompanied by their faithful dragonling, they discover an intriguing story as well as an endgame rich in activities and especially epic battles.

Dragonkin: The Banished is already available in Early Access on Steam and will be available on consoles for its full release.

The post-apocalyptic PvPvE MMO shooter’s PC Open Beta sets sights for October 2025 ahead of official launch later this year

BELGRADE, Serbia  Sept. 15, 2025  GFA Games has unveiled a new gameplay trailer for PIONER, the studio’s upcoming post-apocalyptic MMO shooter. The trailer highlights a mix of story-driven missions and competitive PvP encounters, while showing off the distinctive atmosphere and striking environments of Tartarus Island. Designed to capture both the intensity of combat and the atmosphere of its ruined world, the trailer offers a fresh glimpse into what awaits in PIONER.

Along with the new gameplay footage, GFA Games has confirmed that the PC Open Beta for PIONER will be available this October. This marks another key milestone in the game’s development, following the closed testing phase that took place in recent weeks, allowing the developers to gather valuable feedback.

PIONER is a post-apocalyptic MMO shooter set on the mysterious Soviet-era island of Tartarus, offering a vast open world spanning over 50 square kilometers. Blending intense PvE and PvP action with player-driven storytelling, the game features faction missions, hidden dungeons, and dynamic environments. Realism takes center stage, replacing traditional health bars and levels with immersive mechanics. High-risk zones like the “Shadowlands” push PvP to the extreme, allowing for chaotic, high-reward battles where alliances are key — or optional.

PIONER is scheduled to launch on PC later in 2025, with console releases planned for a future date. Players can Wishlist the game on Steam to stay up to date on the latest news and be among the first to explore its dangerous, anomaly-ridden world when Open Beta arrives this October.

For more information about PIONER, visit the official GFA Games website and follow the game on Twitter/X.

Publisher Furthers its Plan to Bring Engaging World-class Chinese-developed Games to a Global Audience

SHANGHAI — Sept. 12, 2025 — Global game publisher GRYPHLINE is continuing its push onto the worldwide stage with new announcements for two of its key titles. These games represent the commitment from GRYPHLINE to deliver world-class games to a global audience spanning different genres and platforms.

Firstly, POPUCOM, its multiplayer co-op platform adventure game, is coming to the Nintendo Switch™ system in Holiday 2025, as shared on today’s Nintendo Direct. Originally launched on PC via Steam and Epic Games Store in June 2025, POPUCOM tasks players with shooting matching colors to clear obstacles in lively, candy-colored stages that emphasize teamwork.

Additionally, GRYPHLINE’s upcoming 3D RPG and strategy title, Arknights: Endfield, will continue its run of hands-on game event access with Tokyo Game Show from Sept. 26 – 28. The title has been featured across several major conventions in 2025, including Japan Expo, Anime Expo, and Gamescom, and was most recently highlighted in the Apple Event on September 9, where it debuted an early 2026 release window for the title alongside the first mobile gameplay demo on the newly announced iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max. The brief demo showed the superior gaming performance of the next-generation A19 Pro chip, which enables the game to run with stunning graphics and hardware-accelerated ray tracing at higher frame rates.

With Arknights: Endfield debuting its mobile gameplay at the Apple Event and revealing its release window, and POPUCOM breaking into a Nintendo Direct, GRYPHLINE is steadily bringing its games to an expanding audience of players worldwide. Arknights: Endfield is set in the world of the hit mobile game Arknights, introducing a new frontier world filled with exploration, real-time combat, and base-building. Following an initial PC technical test in 2024, the game held a closed beta test earlier this year, offering players hands-on experience of the updated combat and AIC factory system.

POPUCOM is a multiplayer co-op platform adventure game. As an adventurer, you are summoned to an unknown planet to embark on an exoplanet expedition with your friends. Face various enemies and use engaging items and techniques to eliminate threats and restore the world to its former glory. The game features two main modes: a narrative-driven story mode designed for two players, and a high-energy “Party Mode” for three to four players, perfect for chaotic fun and shared laughter. Both modes can be played in local or online co-op. Additionally, there are several accessibility options, including a “colorblind assist mode” with customizable color schemes and a “color enhancement mode” to boost the functional colors of adventurers and map objects. Whether solving mysteries or diving into fast-paced action, POPUCOM delivers a cooperative experience packed with charm, humor, and excitement.

POPUCOM  launched on June 1, 2025, for PC via Steam and Epic Games Store in a Standard and Deluxe edition for $19.99 and $24.99, respectively. A launch date for the PlayStation®5 computer entertainment system will be announced at a later time. This title has been rated Everyone 10+ by the ESRB.
