Mirror’s Edge Catalyst Launch Trailer Released

The launch trailer for Mirror’s Edge Catalyst is out. Appropriately titled “Why We Run,” the trailer gives a quick teaser of Faith Connors as a child and introduces some of the game’s main characters. There are plenty of gorgeous parkour sequences in the launch trailer with a few combat clips interspersed.

Mirror’s Edge Catalyst serves as a reboot of Mirror’s Edge, originally released by DICE in 2008. The new game looks at the origins of Faith Connors, a runner in the city of Glass. The game launches on June 7th in North America, June 8th in the EU, and June 9th in Australia and New Zealand for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows.

Battle mechanics and more unveiled for upcoming Pokémon mobile game

London, United Kingdom—May 25, 2016— The Pokémon Company and Niantic, Inc., today revealed new details about their upcoming mobile release, Pokémon GO.

Pokémon GO will allow players to find and catch more than a hundred different Pokémon as they explore their surroundings. As players move through the world around them, their phones will vibrate to let them know a Pokémon is nearby. Once they have encountered a Pokémon, they can attempt to catch it by using the phone’s touch screen to throw a Poké Ball. Poké Balls and other special items can be found at PokéStops, which are located at interesting places such as public art installations, historical markers, and monuments. During gameplay, Pokémon GO players will be encouraged to join one of three teams and engage in Gym battles with other teams. After joining a team, players will gain the ability to assign their Pokémon to Gyms. Like PokéStops, Gyms can be found at real locations in the world.

Battling is essential to any Pokémon game, and Pokémon GO is no different. Players can battle using the Pokémon they’ve caught to gain control of a Gym. By using their own Pokémon’s attacks and dodging incoming attacks by swiping left and right on the screen, Pokémon GO players can defeat the defending Pokémon to reduce the Gym’s Prestige. Once the Gym’s Prestige reaches zero, the defending team loses control of the Gym, and the victor’s Pokémon can be assigned to defend the Gym. When a team has control of a Gym, team members can increase its Prestige and level by training their Pokémon with other defending Pokémon. As the Gym gets to a higher level, the defending team gains the ability to assign more Pokémon to defend it. They can also team up with friends and battle together at a rival Gym to take down stronger Gyms faster.

In Pokémon GO, players will interact with the world through their in-game Trainer avatar. Fans can make their Trainer unique by customizing its appearance. They will be able to choose from a variety of different clothes and accessories to make their Trainer stand out from the rest. The customized Trainer image will appear on the map as the player moves around, as well as on the profile page. Trainer avatars will also appear in Gyms under their team’s control.

A portable device called the Pokémon GO Plus will enable Pokémon GO players to enjoy the game even while they’re not looking at their smartphones. The device connects to a smartphone via Bluetooth and notifies the player about events in the game—such as the appearance of a Pokémon nearby—using an LED and vibration. In addition, players can catch Pokémon or perform other simple actions by pressing the button on the device.

Pokémon GO will be free to download on the App Store and Google Play. In-app purchases will be available for fans who would like to enhance their Pokémon GOexperience. Players can purchase PokéCoins, the in-game currency of Pokémon GO. PokéCoins can be exchanged on the App Store and Google Play for power-ups and extra items.

With real-life surroundings providing a backdrop for encounters with wild Pokémon, this unique Pokémon game represents the next generation of Niantic’s “Real World” gaming platform, which combines mobile location technology and Augmented Reality to create a gaming experience that motivates players to go outside and explore the world around them. COPENHAGEN, May 25, 2016 – Io-Interactive is delighted to announce that the launch date for HITMAN Episode 3: Marrakesh will be on May 31, 2016.
The mission titled: ‘A Gilded Cage’ enlists Agent 47 to take out two targets, private investment banker Claus Strandberg and Army General Reza Zaydan.

In a city teaming with life on the brink of a full-scale riot, these are the moments before a coup d’état, where the visible military presence exacerbates a situation where tensions are running high.

Bustling Berber markets, alleyways crammed with stalls and shops, a clinical Swedish consulate and shaded rooftop terraces are just some of the areas that players can explore in Marrakesh.

HITMAN Episode 3: Marrakesh will present players with a range of new in-game Challenges and Opportunities that will keep them busy along with an entirely new setting for Escalation Contracts and Elusive Targets.

HITMAN started with a Prologue and Paris location in March, Episode 2: Sapienza in April and now Episode 3: Marrakesh on May 31. From here HITMAN will deliver regular content updates, including three additional locations; Thailand, the United States and the season finale in Japan later in 2016.

Episode 3: Marrakesh is FREE as part of the Full Experience Pack. Owners of the Intro Pack can choose either the Upgrade Pack for $50, which will then include all of this year’s content as it’s released including  live and bonus content – or choose to purchase the location individually for $10 (or local equivalent).

New videos and a variety of screenshots showcasing the historical simulation mode also revealed!

Hertfordshire, 25th May 2016- Koei Tecmo Europe today revealed a variety of new assets and details of the Hero Mode for the latest entry to the renowned strategy series, Romance of the Three Kingdoms XIII, available on PlayStation4 computer entertainment system (physical and digital), and PC via Steam from the 8th July 2016.

In Romance of the Three Kingdoms XIII players will have the option to relive the historic battles which led to the unification of 2nd century China through the historical simulation and comprehensive tutorial, ‘Hero Mode’. As well as learning how best to utilise the in-depth strategic gameplay and advanced game mechanics, players will be able to experience a story rich in Chinese history. Detailed CG cutscenes have been crafted to further immerse the players in this historically accurate tale that highlights the most heroic deeds of the strongest, wisest, or most powerful characters of the Three Kingdoms Era.

To showcase this immersive mode, Koei Tecmo released two cutscenes illustrating the gripping drama of this era of political instability.  The first covers the Oath of the Peach Garden, detailing the moment Liu Bei, Guan Yu and Zhang Fei made an oath to become sworn brothers. In the second players can view a scene from the Battle of Hulao Pass. The three sworn brothers, after joining the allied army to kill the tyrant Dong Zhuo, need to fight his most powerful officer, Lu Bu.

Koei Tecmo also released a selection of Character Portraits for the prominent military figures found within Romance of the Three Kingdoms XIII. Featuring fan favourites such as Zhao Yun, Taishi Ci, Lu Meng, Li Dian and Xu Zhu. For these characters there are two alternate poses which are used throughout the game. Battle poses are used in communication between characters in the midst of battle, displaying their battle stance. The Civic poses on the other hand are used outside of battle, highlighting each character’s personality.

SENRAN KAGURA SHINOVI VERSUS takes the ninja schoolgirls introduced to the world via SENRAN KAGURA Burst and pits them against one another in an all-new standalone story. Through a 3D lens, players will now be able to revisit the rivalry between the students of the Hanzō National Academy and their sworn enemies at Hebijo Clandestine Girls’ Academy, the latter of which have gone underground and formed a mercenary group known as Homura’s Crimson Squad. Both sides must also contend with two new sets of enemies: the students from the exceptionally strict Gessen Girls’ Academy, as well as the new generation of Hebijo students who seek to dominate all rivals. Each of the four schools gets its own unique narrative, and the original Japanese voice-overs pair with full English subtitles to bring each girl’s distinct personality and storyline to life.

Fan-favorite elements such as massive mid-air combos, Secret Ninja Techniques, and clothes-ripping action will now be presented in full HD with this Windows PC update of SENRAN KAGURA SHINOVI VERSUS. In addition, all previously released DLC from the game’s PSVita release — including extra characters, costumes, weapons, and more — will be included from the start, fully unlockable through gameplay. With over 20 playable characters, each featuring her own diverse fighting style and palette of special skills, players will have to master a vast array of abilities as they set forth upon the Path of the Shinobi. Players can also compete in three online multiplayer modes each designed for up to four players, including Death Match, Strip Battle (try to unclothe opponents), and Understorm (a race to grab the most undergarments falling from the sky).

Developed by Marvelous Inc. and Tamsoft and published on Windows PC worldwide by XSEED Games, SENRAN KAGURA SHINOVI VERSUS will launch via Steam on 1st June, 2016. The Windows PC version of this title is not rated. The PSVita edition has been rated PEGI 16, USK 16 and M in Australia.

LONDON (25th May 2016) –   Square Enix Ltd., today revealed a selection a trailers to further introduce fans to the universe of STAR OCEAN®: Integrity and Faithlessness™. The new character spotlight videos feature all-new footage introducing the characters Anne and Emmerson, a pair of travelers who join Fidel on his quest to protect Relia, and the Kingdom of Trei’kur, a desolate wasteland country currently at war with Fidel’s home country of Resulia.

A brand new gameplay trailer also showcases a variety of gameplay systems both new and familiar to the STAR OCEAN series, including;

A new dynamic character theme was also announced exclusively for fans who pre-order the Digital Day One Edition from the PlayStation®Store. The theme features the main characters, Fidel in the city of Central Resulia, Miki in her hometown of Stahl, and Relia in the team’s spaceship, with music from the soundtrack composed by Motoi Sakuraba.

STAR OCEAN: Integrity and Faithlessness will be released in Europe and PAL territories on 1stJuly 2016 for the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system. The game will be available with English and French in-game text only.

A Collector’s Edition which features a steelbook™ case, 80-page artbook, in-game DLC and much more will also be available in limited quantities.
