Today’s Xbox Tokyo Game Show 2025 Broadcast – available to watch on demand – was packed with major updates for players worldwide, showcasing a diverse lineup of 25 games. 

Xbox announced that Forza Horizon 6, set in Japan, will be coming in 2026, offered a deep dive into Ninja Gaiden 4 and announced a Japan World Update for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. We also unveiled new gameplay for the Age of Mythology: Heavenly Spear expansion, saw two new Japan-set multiplayer maps for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, and celebrated the best Japanese-created C.A.M.P.s in Fallout 76.  

Several of these titles, including Forza Horizon 6, Terminull Brigade, and Winter Burrow, are coming to Game Pass, as the service continues to expand it’s exciting, high-quality line-up. The majority also support Xbox Play Anywhere, letting you play on console, PC, and on-the-go with the new ROG Xbox Ally handhelds arriving October 16. 

Our partners also brought incredible news, with Square Enix surprise-releasing Romancing Saga 2: Revenge of the Seven, IO Interactive revealing Gemma Chan as a lead in 007 First Light, and Capcom showed more gameplay of Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection while announcing the first two games are also coming to Xbox.

Playground Games announced Forza Horizon 6, set in Japan and coming in 2026 

As revealed in today’s teaser, Playground Games is thrilled to be taking players to Japan in Forza Horizon 6, the next entry in the critically acclaimed and award-winning Forza Horizon series. As one of the most requested locations destinations for the open-world driving series, players will get to discover a scenic, breathtaking, and culturally authentic Japan as they aim to become a Legend at the Horizon Festival.  

Forza Horizon 6 will launch first on Xbox Series X|S consoles and PC in 2026 and be included with Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass at launch. Additionally, Playground Games and Turn 10 Studios are working together to bring Forza Horizon 6 to PlayStation 5 post-launch. Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 releasing World Update XX: Japan 

The majesty of Japan’s countryside and the lights and sounds of its big cities are the focus of the latest World Update for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. Released as an update across Xbox consoles and PC, World Update XX: Japan visually overhauls the country in the simulator, with special emphasis on numerous points of interest across Japan. As with every World and City update, World Update XX: Japan will be free for all Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 players. 

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is available now on Xbox Series X|S consoles and PC and is included in Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. 

Age of Mythology: Heavenly Spear Offers a New Look Ahead of Next Week’s Launch 

Age of Mythology: Retold’s next expansion, Heavenly Spear takes players to Japan, where they’ll encounter new gods, new monsters, new powers, a new story, and more. The brand-new 12 mission campaign focuses on Yasuko, a farmer’s daughter who takes on a new destiny when she discovers a magical spear. As war looms and chaos spreads across the land, Yasuko must uncover the relic’s secrets and prevent it from falling into the hands of Kagemasa, a ruthless warlord who seeks to imprison the sun goddess Amaterasu and claim godhood for himself.  

Heavenly Spear launches on September 30, with preorders open now on most platforms. Those who purchase the Age of Mythology: Retold – Premium Editionwill receive Heavenly Spear upon launch.  

NINJA GAIDEN 4 Delivers Challenge for All Players with Upcoming Launch and DLC 

NINJA GAIDEN 4 introduces a fully reimagined difficulty and accessibility system designed to guide players of all skill levels, from complete newcomers to seasoned veterans. With three core difficulty options, Hero, Normal, and Hard, alongside support features like Auto Evade, Auto Block, and Auto Assist, players can learn and adapt at their own pace. Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 

 
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 takes players deep into Japan, immersing them in one of the most visually and culturally rich settings the team has ever built, while delivering the gameplay that Black Ops is known for. With several of the game’s 18 multiplayer launch maps inspired by Japan, the team revealed the first details of two of them. Den is a sprawling Japanese compound set in a castle, blending tradition with 2035 tech, while Toshin, playable in the Black Ops 7 Beta, transports players into the heart of neon-lit Tokyo with unique play spaces including a cat cafe and karaoke room. 

The Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 OpenBeta will run from October 5 – 8, with Early Access for those who have pre-ordered the game and eligible Game Pass subscribers granted on October 2. Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 launches globally on November 14. 

Fallout 76 Developers Thank the Japanese Community  

It’s been a busy year in Appalachia. This year,  Fallout 76  has seen the release of several updates free to all players, including The Ghoul Within (allowing players to turn into Ghouls for the first time), Gone Fission (letting players to fish anywhere they can swim), and most recently, Fallout 76: C.A.M.P. Revamp, bringing relaxed build rules and a re-worked Workshop UI to open the door for even more personalized play. These updates have been long requested by the builders of Fallout 76, aiming to inspire creativity, collaboration and deeper community interaction.  Fallout 76‘s developers made an appearance in the show to thank Japanese players for embracing each new update and even showed off some of the most impressive Japanese-made C.A.M.P.s created so far.

Open world action adventure starts with a delay to avoid a battle of the undead, goes into public playtest insteadOberhaching, Germany, September 25, 2025 – “There can be only one!” Not only the highlander adheres to this mantra. Vampires, the undisputed apex predators among the undead, also follow this guideline. And Dragos, the protagonist of Vampires: Bloodlord Rising, respects the Elder status of the enigmatic Phyre and decided to slumber in his coffin a little longer.

Which means that Vampires: Bloodlord Rising from Polish development team Mehuman Games and German publisher Toplitz Productions will move from its originally slated release date October 23, 2025 to January 30, 2026.

But fans of bloody open world action adventures can nonetheless look forward to a double dose of vampirism in October. We invite all patiently waiting players to a Steam playtest for Vampires: Bloodlord Rising. From October 30, 2025, perfectly timed for Halloween, you can dive into the world of Sangavia, start building your imposing castle, fight the inquisition and unravel the bloodsoaked mystery. The additional time will be used to polish the game even further, while collecting and incorporating the invaluable community feedback from the playtest.

The trailer reveals never-before-seen features, including the first glimpse of a world where players will traverse on foot or by summoning their vehicle, the Motorcycle Forma, as they battle through haunting landscapes such as the Sunken City region, ruled by the Revenant Josée Anjou. Hertfordshire, 24^th September 2025 – Today, KOEI TECMO Europe and developer Team NINJA announced that Nioh 3, the latest game in their dark samurai action RPG series, will be released 6^th February 2026 on PlayStation®5 and Windows PC via Steam®. To celebrate the start of pre-orders* on both systems, a story trailer directed by Shinji Higuchi showcasing the story that awaits fans has been unveiled, along with details on characters and game systems.

In Nioh 3, players take on the role ofTokugawa Takechiyo, poised to become the next Shogun during Japan’s turbulent Sengoku period. In the shadows, Takechiyo’s younger brother, Tokugawa Kunimatsu, consumed by hatred towards his brother’s succession, plots to overthrow him. Empowered by a sinister force, he leads a horde of yokai in a fierce assault on Takechiyo, abruptly ending the era of peace and plunging Japan into hell. Guided by the mysterious power of his guardian spirit Kusanagi, Takechiyo transcends time to survive a kingdom in dire straits and become shogun.

The story of Nioh 3 will unfold on a larger scale than ever before in series history. Covering various eras and regions, including Edo Castle and the Tōtōmi region during the Sengoku period, which players were able to explore in the Alpha demo, as well as the recently unveiled Kyoto, the capital of the Heian period. Players will be able to freely explore each era in open-field experience, featuring beautiful and distinct environments. During his perilous quest to foil his brother’s conspiracy, Takechiyo will face various yokai and other powerful enemies, while taking on the challenge of the Crucible. During their journey, players will encounter various characters from different eras including Takeda Shingen, Minamoto no Yoshitsune, and Minamoto no Yoritomo. Other well-known figures familiar to fans will cross paths with Tokugawa Takechiyo, including Hattori Hanzo, Honda Tadakatsu, and Saito Fuku. Actors Tao Tsuchiya and Kanata Hongo will also be lending their talents in Nioh 3 as Himiko, the mysterious queen of Yamatai-koku, and Kunimatsu Tokugawa respectively. Marvel’s Wolverine arrives on PlayStation 5 Spring 2026

Bold, resilient, and volatile, Wolverine is a character the team at Insomniac are thrilled to explore in collaboration with Marvel Games and Sony Interactive Entertainment. Like the Marvel’s Spider-Man franchise, the teams are once again combining super powers to deliver an original take on a beloved character based on Marvel Comics.

Wolverine, AKA Logan, is played by Australian actor Liam McIntyre who taps into the rage, pain, and nuances of this iconic character. Saros launches Friday, 20 March on PS5, first look at gameplay from today’s State of Play 

Housemarque has revealed extended gameplay and new combat systems for its next title, Saros, which is launching Friday, 20 March, 2026 on PS5 and enhanced for PS5 Pro.

The events of Saros take place on Carcosa, a shape-shifting, hostile alien planet; one that changes on every death, and offers a wide variety of environments and enemies for players to encounter. In this gameplay first look, we see the protagonist Arjun Devraj (performed by Rahul Kohli) exploring the planet as a total eclipse nears. Along the way he finds Nitya Chandran (performed by Shunori Ramanthan), one of the ensemble cast, and a key character. The stunning environment Arjun explores is that of a lost ancient civilisation fueled by the twisted enlightenment of the eclipse.
