Usually when a game is localized for release in English it is rather rare to see content added that wasn’t simply something that was patched into the Japanese version during localization. However NIS America is going the extra mile with Touhou Genso Rondo: Bullet Ballet as the company has announced that they are adding not one but two characters to the playable roster.

Previously the company held a poll asking fans to choose from a list of Touhou characters that should be included in the game and while Flandre Scarlet won first place, the company is also going to be adding Yukari Yakumo, who came in third, into the game. Both Flandre and Yukari will be released as post-launch DLC for Touhou Genso Rondo: Bullet Ballet and to go along with this announcement the company has released a trailer focusing specifically on showing off what Flandre will be able to do when the game is released on September 6th in North America and September 9th in Europe.

We haven’t learned a whole lot about what to expect from Resident Evil 7: biohazard. So far what fans have to go off of simply comes from the first person demo that was released on the PlayStation 4 and even the demo has raised more questions, such as how exactly Resident Evil 7: biohazard will be played. Well, no matter how it ends up playing it looks like Capcom is sticking to the standard healing items that fans are used to as the company has released, through its Resident Evil Ambassador program, the first healing items that will be in the game.

This includes a couple of green herbs and what looks like a bottle that is filled with likely mixed green herbs as well as a coin. Whether this coin is hinting at the idea of being able to purchase items once again or something else entirely is currently unknown but for now Resident Evil 7: biohazard is currently set to be released on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on January 24th.

Criminal Girls 2: Party Favors is Too Hot for Germany, Denied Release in Country

Germany and Australia are two of the countries where games tend to have issues with when it comes to release. Even when a game is censored in an effort to assure the game will at least be released in North America, these two countries tend to still be an issue when it comes to some more risque niche titles.

Today NIS America announced that Criminal Girls 2: Party Favors will not be released in Germany as the Unterhaltungssoftware Selbstkontrolle (USK) has refused to provide a rating for the game and that it is also not getting an OFLC rating and won’t be released in Australia. This issue will not be affecting other regions of Europe as it has been given a PEGI 16 rating and M rating in North America.

Koei Tecmo has announced that they will be releasing Nobunaga’s Ambition: Sphere of Influence – Ascension in the West in late October. The company will be offering the title at retail and digitally on the PlayStation 4 as well as digitally on PC through Steam in North America on October 25th and in Europe on October 28th. Nobunaga’s Ambition: Sphere of Influence – Ascension is a stand-alone follow-up to Nobunaga’s Ambition: Sphere of Influence, which was released last September in the West.

The game will highlight some of the most epic battles and notable events of Sengoku Era Japan, when myriads of military officers and lords fought for domination over the land. Players will be able to experience all the events that led from the fracture of the country to the establishments of clans and the forming of alliances before the inevitable clash that led to the emergence of the first Shogunate. Allowing for deeper immersion and insight into these events as well as providing a closer look at the development of strongholds and armies, this game provides players with the extra option to begin the game from the position of an officer and ascend through the ranks to become an important warlord—perhaps even the overlord of Japan.

Outlast II Delayed to Early 2017

outlast-II-screenshot-003

If you were hoping to see Outlast II in time for the end of the year then we have a bit of bad news for you. While Red Barrels initially was aiming to have the game out in fall 2016, likely in time for Halloween, the developer has announced that in order to improve the quality of the game they have delayed the horror sequel to Q1 2017.

With this delay Outlast II is currently set to be released sometime in Q1 2017 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Those who wish to read the full message from the developer can find the statement below:

“We had to make a difficult decision recently. After weighing our options we’ve decided to postpone Outlast 2’s release until Q1 of 2017.

We want you to know that we listen to your feedback, we see your excitement and we know you care about our work. Our mission as an indie studio is to deliver to you the best, most terrifying, most fulfilling experiences possible. That’s why we’re taking just a little bit more time to make sure our vision for Outlast 2 is in no way compromised and is the experience you deserve.

This is not the type of news we ever want to deliver, but we are so fully committed to the world we’ve built and to our awesome community that we could not, in good conscience, release a game who’s limits haven’t been tested to the extreme.

Thank you for understanding. We promise Outlast 2 will scare the crap out of you.”
