gust-teaser-artwork-006

Last week it was announced that Koei Tecmo‘s Gust would be partnering with Toei Animation for a “major project” that would be revealed on September 16th but the company decided to at least reveal what it is ahead of time. The project is called Kakuchou Shoujokei Trinary, or Expansion Girl Style Trinary, and is a combination between a new anime that will be previewed on the 16th as well as a smartphone game. The company is trying to create an “anime cross link RPG” that is a “never before seen fusion of video game and anime” where the “reality” on the other side of the screen are girls that fight in special missions.

Not too much is known about the game/anime so far other than that it takes place in a Tokyo-like area of Japan where five heroines, shown above, must combat a strange situation that arises in the city though we will know more on the 16th when the anime is previewed and more details are likely revealed.

Over the course of the first four episodes of Hitman‘s episodic release we’ve visited exotic locations like Paris, Bangkok, and Sapienza but it seems the company is saving the best for last by dropping Agent 47 in the middle of nowhere Colorado. To be fair, Square Enix has detailed that the mission this time around, titled “Freedom Fighters” is going to be the most difficult of the bunch as players must Colorado farm compound that has been converted into a private militia training camp.

This will be an intense infiltration mission to locate and take out four targets with each target having their own specialist skillset ranging from environmental terrorism to chemical interrogation. With the very second players step onto the field placing them into enemy territory this “key episode” will also deliver “huge story revelations” as the series comes to a climax when the episode is released on September 27th.

Akibas-Beat-screenshot-022

Acquire has announced that they are no longer planning on releasing Akiba’s Beat during their initial Japanese release window of Fall 2016 and are now stating that the game has been delayed to winter 2016. According to the developer, the reason for the delay is order to ensure that the game is polished enough to meet fan expectations.

It is worth noting that XSEED Games has already announced plans to localize Akiba’s Beat and were aiming to have the title out in North America this Winter so it is currently unknown how long this delay might affect the English release of the game.

FINAL EPIC CALL OF DUTY: BLACK OPS III DLC PACK, SALVATION, AVAILABLE NOW ON PLAYSTATION 4

Fourth Black Ops III DLC Brings It Home, Concluding Treyarch Zombies Saga via Grand Finale, and a Quadruple Threat of Thrilling Multiplayer Maps

Salvation Completes an Epic Season of Content for the Best-Selling Console Video Game on Next Generation Platforms*

September 7, 2016 – The monumental fourth and final DLC map pack for Call of Duty®: Black Ops III, the best-selling console video game on next generation platforms*, Salvation, is now available on PlayStation 4, with other next-gen platforms to follow**.  Published by Activision Publishing, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Activision Blizzard, Inc. [Nasdaq: ATVI] and developed by Treyarch, Salvation delivers the thrilling climax of the Zombies Origins saga plus four exciting multiplayer maps.

“The team at Treyarch has worked tirelessly to make this an incredible year for Call of Duty: Black Ops III players and we hope fans have as much fun playing it as we had making it,” said Mark Lamia, Studio Head, Treyarch.  “The release of Revelations has a great deal of sentimental value: it has been an adventure eight years in the making, and a very special journey that we’ve taken with our fans.”

Salvation features Revelations, the finale of the Origins Zombies saga.  In Revelations, this final chapter of the Zombies experience, Richtofen, Dempsey, Takeo, and Nikolai – having traveled through space and time – finally discover the identity of the mysterious Doctor Monty in The House.  As the heroes face-off against an ancient evil, they must hold the zombie horde back in the ultimate battle between human and undead.

Salvation also includes four new action-packed multiplayer maps set within the ancient walls of a medieval fortress, to the dusty streets of an old-west town.

  • Citadel: Once home to a powerful medieval army, this ancient castle now sits broken and abandoned. Tight corners force close-quarters engagements, while the moat and drawbridge allows for unique player movement opportunities in this mid-sized map.
  • Micro: What’s better than a BBQ on a hot summer day? A miniaturized war zone that takes place on a well-stocked family picnic table. Navigate this bite-size battlefield for a larger-than-life experience.
  • Outlaw: Gear up for a showdown in Outlaw; a western-style re-imagining of the fan favourite map Standoff from Call of Duty®: Black Ops II. This rough-and-tough medium-sized map brings classic engagements, flanking routes and strategic positions for long and medium ranged combat.
  • Rupture: The Call of Duty®: World at War classic Outskirts is re-imagined as a high-tech facility, designed by a futuristic society desperate to repair the Earth’s atmosphere.  Take control of one of the facility’s mechs to unleash a barrage of heavy machine gun and rocket destruction.

Salvation is now available for pre-order on PlayStation 4 at a discounted rate via the Call of Duty: Black Ops III DLC Season Pass***, which also features the three DLC Map Packs already released this year, as part of the discounted bundle offered at a suggested retail price of AUD$64.95.  Individual purchase of DLC Map Packs, including Salvation, is at a suggested retail price of AUD$19.95.  Starting today, pre-order Call of Duty: Black Ops III Salvation for PlayStation 4 to receive an exclusive Revelations dynamic theme.  Call of Duty: Black Ops III is rated R18+ for High Impact Violence and Online Interactivity by the Australian Classification Board.
