UBISOFT® ANNOUNCES STEEP™ OPEN BETA WEEKEND ON NOVEMBER 18

Players can Register Online by November 9 for an Early Access Beta Weekend

Sydney, Australia — October 28, 2016 — Today, Ubisoft announced that Steep™ will have two Beta phases from November 10th to 14th and from November 18th to 21st on Xbox One, PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system and Windows PC. The beta phases let players hit slopes of the Alps ahead of the Steep worldwide launch on December 2nd.

Access for the November 18 open beta will be available via digital download on consoles and PC giving access to all players wanting to explore Steep’s massive open-world. For those looking to start snow season sooner, early access to the beta will be available to some of the players who register at steepgame.com by November 9.

These beta phases will allow players to discover the diversity of Steep’s world by exploring, riding and completing dozens of challenges through three of the seven regions composing Steep’s massive open world inspired from the Alps –  the Aravis, the Tyrol and the Needles. Players will also find nine Mountain Stories – narrative-based challenges that will delve deeper into unique moments in the world of Steep – throughout their journey. Completing these challenges and Mountain Stories will also unlock new gear for players to customize their characters.

Finally, as they play and share their favourite lines taken from the beta, players will test Steep in a first-person view on top of the third-person view.

With development led by Ubisoft Annecy*, Steep drops players onto the peaks of mountains with exhilarating experiences that include skiing, wing-suiting, snowboarding and paragliding. These sports establish a never seen before freedom to explore the game’s open world, allowing players to choose the way they ride and play. Riders can traverse the Alps solo or drop in side-by-side with friends to record and share the most insane tricks ever captured on the slopes. Designed for a generation that’s all about sharing their experiences with the world, Steep encourages players to challenge their friends to see who truly comes out on top of the world.

AMD Collaborates with Arka Media Works and Film Director SS Rajamouli to Create Stunning VR Experiences Based On Upcoming Baahubali Sequel  
Unprecedented 360 Video and VR experiences brought to millions through new technology

Sydney, Australia.— October 28, 2016 — AMD (NASDAQ: AMD) showcased new technology that can bring 360 video and Virtual Reality to millions through a bleeding edge Virtual Reality capture instrument with up to 32 cameras and the AMD’s renowned GPU-accelerated video stitching software. Used in conjunction with Radeon Pro Graphics, the new technology is being used initially to develop content to promote the upcoming Baahubali: The Conclusion, a movie directed by SS Rajamouli scheduled to premiere on April 28, 2017.

Under the creative direction of SS Rajamouli, Arka Media Works and AMD’s Radeon Technologies Group (RTG) are using the new technology to collaborate on two pieces of compelling VR content: a 360-degree video titled “On the Sets of Baahubali” and a fully immersive VR experience, “The Sword of Baahubali.” On the Sets of Baahubali is available now, and was shown to attendees of MAMI on October 22nd and 23rd along with early takes of The Sword of Baahubali. “We are beyond thrilled to have Baahubali: The Conclusion and AMD’s Radeon Technologies Group showcase the world’s most advanced VR experience for the first time here at MAMI,” said Anupama Chopra, director of the JIo MAMI 18th Mumbai Film Festival with Star.

“As humans we are at awe when we experience things of large scale – both natural and man-made,” said Rajamouli, director for both Baahubali films. “We are at awe when we see the Grand Canyon, we are also at awe when we stand next to 2,722 feet tall man-made Bhurj Khalifa. I have been fascinated by the possibilities with scale since the first time I experienced VR. Through collaboration with AMD’s Radeon Technologies Group we have been fortunate to get access to cutting edge VR technologies that are helping us to push the boundaries like never before.”

To create these experiences, AMD has built the radical new VR capture camera – the bb360cc – and leading-edge 360-degree video stitching software. The bb360cc provides real-time VR preview and up to 32 cameras. Using AMD-created Project Loom software, videographers can rapidly stitch 360-degree video, often in real-time or nearly so, eclipsing the time needed using alternative techniques. The open source Project Loom software is expected to be widely available to content creators by the end of the year.

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA – October 27, 2016 — Today Ubisoft announced its line-up for PAX AUS 2016; For HonorTM, Just Dance® 2017, SteepTM, South ParkTM: The Fractured But WholeTM, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon® Wildlands and Watch Dogs® 2, will be presented at the show. Attendees can check out the full line-up at the Ubisoft stand 2320 at the Melbourne Convention Centre Nov 4 – 6.

The Watch Dogs theatre will play host to a live interactive demo where the audience will get to see the vibrant open world where anything can happen and can choose where in San Francisco to explore next.

The Ubisoft stand will also feature hands on opportunities with all of the following releases. Attendees can experience the unique combat system of For Honor and choose to wade into battle as either a Viking, Samurai or Knight. The Just Dance 2017 dance floor welcomes everyone to break out their best dance moves to this year’s hottest hits and classics from yesteryears. Visitors can head to the slopes with Steep and traverse this epic open world on skis, boards or even blasting through the air in a wingsuit. South Park: The Fractured But Whole will offer gamers the chance to embrace their inner super hero as Cartman and his pals attempt to protect South Park with fists, farts and foul language. Plus a lucky few will be chosen to experience the fart power of the revolutionary Nosulus Rift.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to see an exclusive behind closed doors demo of Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands, showcasing the option to take a stealthy co-op approach to a mission rather than going in all guns blazing.

Visual Novel Developer Frontwing’s Latest Project “Grisaia: Phantom Trigger” Announced

Tokyo, Japan – October 28, 2016 Tokyo-based visual novel developer Frontwing has announced its newest project, “Grisaia: Phantom Trigger”. “Grisaia: Phantom Trigger” is a dramatic visual novel series, with the first two installments to be released for the PC in Spring of 2017. The Grisaia series is Frontwing’s most popular franchise, with sales of the games in the first trilogy topping 300,000 units worldwide. The series has also had a very successful anime adaptation, produced by NBC Universal and directed by Tensho, as well as serialized manga adaptation.

“Grisaia: Phantom Trigger” takes place after the existing Grisaia trilogy, and features a completely new group of heroines as well as a new protagonist. The story follows a class of students at Mihama Academy, which has been converted by anti-terror organization CIRS into a ‘specialist training school’ for a new generation of operatives.

Both illustrator/character designer Akio Watanabe and writer Ryuta Fujisaki return from the original Grisaia trilogy to work on “Phantom Trigger”, and the game will feature SD character artwork by nanaca mai. The opening theme, “Ends of the Earth”, is composed by Hitoshi Fujima and sung by Marina Kawano, with lyrics by Yoshikazu Kuwashima.

“Grisaia: Phantom Trigger” is planned to be released in a serialized format, with the first two entries releasing simultaneously in Spring of 2017. A third entry will follow in the Summer, and subsequent titles in the series are also planned. Currently the game is confirmed for sale on the Steam platform, and other information will be announced as it is confirmed.

The “Phantom Trigger” series is being localized in English by Frontwing’s experienced in-house translation team, the members of which are proficient Japanese to English translators who possess JLPT N1 certification or equivalent. It also features a brand-new system allowing simultaneous display of English and Japanese text during gameplay, as well as language switching at the press of a button.

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA – October 28, 2016 – Ubisoft® has announced that the acclaimed Anno gameplay is now available in an Ultimate Edition taking a giant leap forward and becoming even more sophisticated when the player’s economical grasp reaches beyond the stars.

 

Launched in November 2015 and developed by Blue Byte, a Ubisoft studio, Anno 2205™ has been updated regularly with lots of new content which enhanced the game to become the biggest game of the franchise so far. The Ultimate Edition contains the complete Anno 2205 experience with the main game, the premium DLCs “Tundra”, “Orbit” and “Frontiers” and the free updates “Wildwater Bay”, Veteran’s Pack” and “Big Five Pack”.

Players can now play in multiple territories like the Moon, the Arctic, the Tundra and the Temperate Earth, each with its own challenges and scenarios. From expanding their corporation on giant areas of more than 400 km² in Anno’s biggest session (“Wildwater Bay”) to discovering the long forgotten “Vanha Plains” sector or conquering space by building, expanding and managing their own modular space station, players will be able to enjoy the most complete Anno experience. Thanks to Frontiers, the game’s last DLC, fans will also enjoy three new sectors with special quests and challenges.

SYDNEY, 28th October 2016Square Enix Ltd., today announced that FINAL FANTASY® XV has gone gold. To mark this production milestone, a new CG cinematic trailer, entitled “Omen” released today. Eagle-eyed viewers will see that this dynamic new trailer also celebrates the game’s gold status in a unique way. Omen is a conceptual CG cinematic trailer created by the world-renowned 3D animation studio DIGIC Pictures, who also worked on KINGSGLAIVE: FINAL FANTASY XV. Noctis negotiates a rapidly shifting world, endless waves of enemies, a gradual loss of abilities and a madness that brings harm to his beloved fiancée. Inspired by the world and story of FINAL FANTASY XV, the trailer depicts a nightmarish “omen” for Noctis’ father King Regis, of a catastrophic future that must be avoided.

With FINAL FANTASY XV going gold, development now moves towards creating the Season Pass and DLC that will provide further content and ways to enjoy FINAL FANTASY XV into the year ahead.

The main focus of the Season Pass are three original episodes that take place during the events of FINAL FANTASY XV. Each episode features one of Noctis’ best friends as the playable character in an all-new adventure that offers unique play styles tailored to each friend. Episode Gladiolus is the first new character adventure to arrive and will be followed by Episode Ignis and Episode Prompto. Each episode will also be available for purchase individually.

Following the individual character episodes is Comrades; an expansion pack for FINAL FANTASY XV that offers a brand new online co-op mode for up to 4-players, allowing teams to take full control of Noctis, Gladiolus, Ignis and Prompto as a group. Comrades will be available for purchase separately and is included in the Season Pass.

These additional contents and episodes are managed by Haruyoshi Sawatari (Producer, Business Division 2) and overseen by FINAL FANTASY XV Director Hajime Tabata with development led by core members of the FINAL FANTASY XV team.
