GOD WARS FUTURE PAST CHARACTER TRAILER REVEALED

GOD WARS FUTURE PAST CHARACTER TRAILER REVEALED

GOD WARS Future Past for PlayStation®4 and PlayStation®Vita will be released on the 23rd of June in Australia and New Zealand and Nis America have released the latest character trailer.

GOD WARS Future Past is a tactical RPG that explores the untold history of Japan through folklore and tactical combat. Gamers will experience the traditional stories of Japan’s origin through the lens of three warring nations, with a massive expanse of tactical options to develop their strategies from including a myriad of character classes and equipment within innovative and challenging stages.

About the story:

A long time ago, there was a beautiful land made up of three nations: Fuji, Izumo, and Hyuga. This land was called Mizuho. The people of Mizuho disliked conflict, honored their ancestral spirits, and lived in harmony with nature. However, over time, they began cultivating crops, forging and using metal, fighting wars, destroying nature, and neglecting to honor their ancestral spirits.

In the meantime, various locations in Mizuho suffered from natural disasters like flooding, earthquakes, and volcanic eruptions. In order to stop a destructive eruption, the Queen of Mizuho, Tsukuyomi, sacrificed her beloved daughter Sakuya to the mountain, confined her other daughter Kaguya within a bamboo seal in case of future disasters, and then disappeared. 13 years later, Princess Kaguya has grown into a beautiful woman and her childhood friend, Kintaro, saves her during a riot. She rises against her “fate to be a sacrifice,” and in order to follow her own path, they both escape from Fuji and journey across Mizuho to discover the truth behind Tsukuyomi’s decision.

Key Features:

A tale steeped in Japanese tradition – Step into Japan as you have never seen it before, and discover the wonder that has captivated orators, storytellers, and generations of people. Discover their stories, and meet the Myriad Gods.

A wealth of customization and tactics – Customize 14 playable characters from more than 30 classes with 400+ skills and more than 250 unique pieces of equipment as you mold your party to face each new challenge.

Visuals from another age – Inspired by traditional Japanese ink painting and wood carving art, the artwork of GOD WARS will transport players to an age filled with mythology and wonder.

Gambitious to Publish 1970s Crime Film Action Game Milanoir

Gambitious Digital Entertainment has announced the upcoming release of Milanoir, a throwback game to the Italian crime movies of the 1970s. Set in the city of Milan, Milanoir is a story of greed, betrayal, revenge and everything else that makes for a  promising hard-boiled pixel shooter. Following the footsteps of any good noir flick, we’ve been tasked to exact revenge on a man who framed us. Expect to paint the streets (and rooftops) red, along with some high-octane vehicle chases thrown in for a good measure.

The game is being developed by Italo games from Milan. You read that sentence again and tell me they’re not the perfect folks for the job with a studio name and location like that. It’s fate if anything. Milanoir is expected to launch later this year on PC but you can feast your eyes on this trailer until then.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mWXh2I_aYgM

Now, I can’t remember the last time I was sold on a game based on the music alone, but the trailer’s infectious groove sure is something that would make Lalo Schifrin proud. I also hope we get to use that ricochet mechanic as much as possible since now I have a chance to roleplay as pixelated Revolver Ocelot.

In case you’re impatient like me but lucky to be in the USA, then I have more good news for you. Milanoir will be playable at E3 next week at Gambitious’ press area inside the Devolver Indie Picnic area across from the Los Angeles Convention Centre’s main entrance. So if you happen to be anywhere in LA during that time, there’s a chance you don’t want to miss.

For more from Milanoir as it develops, visit www.MilanoirGame.com, and follow the game progress on Facebook and Twitter by visiting @MilanoirGame.

Heavy Metal Machines Adds New Competition-Boosting Features with Eye on Creating an Esports Hit

Heavy Metal Machines Adds New Competition-Boosting Features with Eye on Creating an Esports Hit

New Matchmaking Features, an Upgraded Bomb and a New Arena aim to Increase Game’s Competitive Profile

Florianópolis BRAZIL, June 9, 2017  – Hoplon, the developers behind the upcoming car-combat MOBA Heavy Metal Machines, have already taken some early steps towards making their fast-paced, yet nuanced action game a good fit for professional-level esports competition by introducing an innovative leaderboards system earlier this year. With some new updates coming in June and July, Hoplon aims to prove that Heavy Metal Machines could be the next great competitive video game to light the esports world ablaze.

Still in open beta stage on Steam, Heavy Metal Machines will introduce big updates in June and July. From a brand new custom match, which allows players to create the kind of competitive game setups that foster high-caliber tactical plays, to a newly improved and powerful Bomb, giving players fresh tricks up their sleeves, this update is sure to enliven the game’s competitive field. There will also be a brand new arena that will speak to the desires of the high-level competitors of Heavy Metal Machines.

New Features Being Rolled Out

The New Bomb – According to games director Aly Lenzi, there were four main objectives Hoplon had in mind when re-imagining the Bomb:

  • Prioritize fun: “On top of removing the damage per second, which already opened a lot of options to the carrier, we also wanted to expand on player instincts. After observing a great amount of games and analyzing players’ feedback, we decided to invest development efforts into building a very intuitive and visceral ‘pass’ mechanic.”
  • Focus on the gamer’s intuition: “This was the easiest part to plan, and the hardest to execute. We rebuilt our physics system to allow a real and frightening Bomb. It will influence your movement with its own inertia, forcing carriers to adapt to curves and collisions on the fly. It made carrying a little bit harder than before, but in a very fun and competitive way. You can also use it as a shield against enemies with proper timing, and, at the very last moment, as a weapon!”
  • Improve visual clarity: “The main way to increase the Bomb’s visibility was by increasing its size. Now, it is as big as a standard vehicle. On top of that, new visual effects were added, including some animations, to really make it ‘pop’.”
  • Add precision: “We made a core change to the way a player picks up the bomb: instead of just touching it, which could make you grab it by accident, now you will have to hold the pickup key to activate what we are calling The Bomb Grabber. To increase tension and competitiveness, we also added a ‘Struggle’ feature where if two opposing-teams players are trying to pick the Bomb up at the same time, no one will be able to link to it unless one of them is moved farther — or destroyed.”

Custom match – If Heavy Metal Machines is to be considered a viable game by esports pros, it is going to need flexibility and customizability when it comes to setting up matches and tournaments. Lenzi says: “A key selling point for many esports pros and organizers is the ability to host tournaments. This mode allows control of who is in the match, which is crucial to even the crudest forms of competition.”

New ArenaHeavy Metal Machines will be getting a brand new arena that could fundamentally change the way fans play the game. Aly Lenzi explains: “We aim on delivering a different experience with this new arena. While the original stage focused on intersections and shortcuts, the new arena is built to be a very straight-forward race to the finish. We also wanted to add some physical gameplay mechanics, like mud. Overall, it should be easier to navigate, but equally challenging to the carriers. We will also debut a new track concept: bifurcations. Carriers will have more than one path option to follow, which delivers a lot of power to them, but with that power, a lot of responsibility.”
