SEATTLE – 25 June 2026 – Show organizers ReedPop and Penny Arcade reveal Marc Merril, the Co-Founder, Co-Chairman, and Chief Product Officer at Riot Games, will kick off PAX West 2026 as the storytime speaker. The West Coast’s most-attended gaming event returns to the Seattle Convention Center this Labor Day weekend from Friday, 4 Sept., through Monday, 7 Sept., 2026. 

Merrill will be the first to take the Main Stage on Friday, 4 Sept., 2026, for a fun and personal retrospective celebrating his career. Marc is renowned for leading the developer and publisher behind beloved classics cumulatively played by hundreds of millions, including League of Legends, VALORANT, Team Fight Tactics, and more.  After founding Riot Games in 2006, Marc became their first Chief Product Officer and expanded their portfolio with titles such as Riftbound and Legends of Runeterra. Merrill also serves as Executive Producer on the 2021 award-winning animated Netflix series Arcane, as wellas on the Board of Directors of several non-profit organizations, including City Year Los Angeles, Unite America, and Seal Family Foundation. 

PAX West 2026 will host gaming and pop culture fans from around the world over Labor Day weekend. Attendees can check out hands-on demos of hotly anticipated games and panels with legendary game developers, journalists, and creators. Fans of AAA, indie, and tabletop gaming can round out the weekend with concerts, competitive gaming tournaments, community meetups, and more to be announced over the coming months.

Update 11 Brings New Features, Daily Progression Systems, Performance Improvements and More

June 25, 2025 – Attention, troopers! Offworld, in partnership with publisher Knights Peak, has released the next update for Starship Troopers: Extermination. From battlefield hygiene to a new career-defining service record system, Update 11 features new content additions, performance and optimizations improvements as well as bug fixes. Highlights of Starship Troopers: Extermination’s Update 11 include:

Field Showers

The Federation takes cleanliness very seriously! The Field Shower is a new buildable structure available for every Build Zone. Once constructed, the Field Shower provides Troopers with access to battlefield sanitation facilities. A shower will extinguish a burning Trooper, wash all blood, guts, and gore off their uniform, and provide a method of Health restoration. Completing the full duration Federation Standardized Shower will also provide Troopers with a combat performance boost. Troopers who have recently showered will move slightly faster, jump higher, climb better, shoot more accurately, and gain additional Morale Xp.

Daily Dispatches

Effective immediately, Troopers will receive a series of rotating Critical Dispatches designed to support the war effort and reward continued service to the Federation. Additionally, every deployment cycle, Troopers will receive a fresh set of Daily Dispatches generated by Fleet Command. Troopers can do one refresh of the missions list per 24-hours. Currently Command has 47 Critical Dispatches in rotation with more being added. Successful completion of Daily Missions will grant additional combat experience and contribute toward long-term DSV Service Record milestones.

DSV Service Record

The DSV Service Record System has been established to permanently document a Trooper’s military career and recognize exceptional contributions to the war effort. Every confirmed combat action, operational deployment, battlefield specialization, and successful mission contributes toward a growing Service Record reviewed by Federal Command.

As Service Record milestones are completed, Troopers will earn Career Experience, advancing their standing within the Mobile Infantry and demonstrating their commitment to humanity’s survival.

LOS ANGELES – JUNE 25, 2026 – Netmarble, a leading developer and publisher of high-quality games, announced a new collaboration update between The Seven Deadly Sins: Grand Cross (7DS) and the popular anime series GACHIAKUTA. Available through July 16, the collaboration introduces four new SSR heroes, special collaboration events and more..

The collaboration introduces four new SSR heroes to the roster: [Team Akuta] Cleaner Rudo, [Team Akuta] Cleaner Enjin, [Team Akuta] Cleaner Zanka and [Team Akuta] Cleaner Riyo. Players can recruit the new heroes through the 7DS x GACHIAKUTA Pickup Draw.

A variety of collaboration events are now available. Through the 7DS x GACHIAKUTA Check-In Events I and II, players can obtain up to 77 Diamonds and receive [Team Akuta] Cleaner Zanka simply by logging in. Additional rewards such as collaboration Holy Relic Enhancement boxes, growth materials and collaboration special boxes can be earned through Special Missions, the Special Bingo Event, the Event Boss Battle and the Diamond Payback Event.

The Special Missions event allows players to complete eight missions to earn collaboration Holy Relic material boxes and various growth materials. Those who complete all eight missions will be eligible to earn a Holy Relic Enhancement Materials box. Players can also participate in the Special Bingo Event, where bingo currencies obtained through gameplay can be used to unlock rewards including collaboration special boxes and additional growth resources.

The collaboration Event Boss Battle features “Trash Beast,” allowing players to earn rewards through battle completion and event currency exchanges. Available rewards include collaboration Holy Relic material boxes and growth materials. Players who clear the Extreme difficulty stage 15 times or more can also obtain an exclusive title.

The update also expands Hall of Warriors with Floors 31 through 45. Players who clear Floor 45 can obtain a costume for Oslo & Hawk.

Netmarble concludes its seven-month-long 777 Relay Event campaign with Phase 7. Players can redeem the coupon code “777ENDAND” to receive 77 Legendary Seals, and 77 Skip Tickets. In addition, a costume for Gowther of The Seven Deadly Sins is available as part of the campaign rewards.
