September 6, 2018 – Electronic Arts today announced the global rollout of Command & Conquer™: Rivals  continues with the game now available to players in Australia and New Zealand.  Rivals is the fresh and innovative player versus player (PVP) real-time strategy game (RTS) built from the ground up for mobile devices.

Command & Conquer: Rivals delivers action-packed head-to-head battles with the added advantage of being on a mobile platform for on-the-go face-offs. Planning and strategy are key to victory in Rivals, where both high-level strategy and tactical excellence are required to take down opposing armies. Players can tailor their approach as they choose from an arsenal of commanders, forces, and custom deck builds to create winning combinations.

Players in Australia and New Zealand can look forward to experiencing changes to the game implemented based on feedback from Rivals’ Pre-Alpha announced earlier this summer, as well as additions based on more recent feedback. The team has introduced a Friends List and a massive in-game suite of features called the C&C network, as well as two new Units – the Juggernaut and the GIGA-Cannon. The developers at Redwood Studios have also been hard at work integrating matchmaking system changes that ensure players are having a fun and fair experience in Command & Conquer: Rivals. Additional features will also be added in during the road to worldwide launch, such as unit level caps, which place players within different ranks based on their progress, rewards for winning streaks, and progress milestones that keep player’s current level safe while they push to advance to the next level.

During the Rivals global rollout period, the development team will continue the feedback dialog with players and will be implementing changes to the gameplay over time, with the aim of delivering the best experience possible in the final game. Bethesda hosting Australia’s inaugural Quake Championship at PAX 2018

MELBOURNE, VIC – 6 Aug. 2018 PAX Aus 2018, taking place 26-28 Oct. 2018 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, will be home to Bethesda’s inaugural Australian Quake Championships.

On Sunday, 29 Oct., the best of the best will compete for the title of Australian Quake Champions on the ESL stage. The winning team will be flown to represent the region on the global stage at Dreamhack Winter Elmia, Jonkoping, from 30 Nov. – 3 Dec., 2018, and compete for a prize pool of $200,000 USD.

The 2v2 online qualifiers kick off this weekend on Sunday, 9 Sep. and will continue right up until the culminating event at PAX Aus. Finalists will have their flights and accommodation paid for.

“The word ‘quake’ refers to an event so massive the earth itself trembles. Australia, a historically tectonically stable region, doesn’t normally experience events on a scale the likes of which send tremors through the ground,” said Luke Lancaster, content manager, PAX Aus. “It is a true pleasure that we have the rare privilege of working with Bethesda to make the damn earth shudder with the Quake Championships at PAX Aus this October.”

A dejected Lei Wulong took a break from the police force after his failure to arrest Jin Kazama. It was during this time off that he also became a fan of TV star Lucky Chloe (an employee of the G Corporation). His hope to one day meets his idol, as well as an interest in finding out more about the shady G Corporation, led him to seek out its leader, Kazuya Mishima.

After the events of the King of Iron Fist Tournament, Anna’s heart grew tired of endless fighting. Following her retirement, she met and fell in love with an elite soldier from the G Corporation. But, on the day of their wedding, tragedy occurred. Whilst getting ready for the big day, the sound of gun shots filled the main hall. Anna rushed to the noise, arriving to find her fiancé dead and sister fleeing the scene. Anna, fueled by rage, decided to return to the fight once more.

Anna and Lei are available as part of the Season Pass 2 or as standalone characters in DLC4 and DLC5. Future additional content will include four new playable characters, including Negan, the sadistic villain from The Walking Dead.

Starting September 4th, players are also able to download Version 2.0 of the game, a patch designed to improve the overall fighting experience and each character’s moves.

Following a massively successful ‘Members Only Beta’, as well as soft launches in Canada & Nordics, Jagex confirms the MMORPG will arrive on mobile devices on 30th October.

Wednesday 5th September 2018, Cambridge, UK – Old School RuneScape will launch on iOS and Android devices on Tuesday 30th October, Jagex announced today. The MMORPG offers a full cross-platform experience on mobile and PC, and will be available for members and non-members to enjoy.

Jagex also confirmed Old School RuneScape is now available to Pre-Order and Pre-Register from the App Store and the Google Play.

The highly-anticipated announcement comes after this summer’s extensive and overwhelmingly successful ‘Members Only Beta’, in addition to soft launches in Canada and Nordic countries, which have already seen some 500,000 Android players continue their adventures on their mobile devices.

Discover two new Operators and the reworked Hereford Base today

SYDNEY, Australia – September 5th, 2018 – Ubisoft® has announced that Operation Grim Sky, the third Season and major update for Year 3 of Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege, including 2 new Operators and a rework of the Hereford Base map, is now available for PC, PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system and Xbox One. Year 3 Pass owners can now play Operation Grim Sky’s two new Operators. All other players will be able to unlock these Operators starting September 12th using Renown or R6 Credits. The Hereford Base map rework and new content improvements are now available for free to all players.

New content of Year 3 Season 3 available today

In Operation Grim Sky, players will meet two new operators:

  • Maverick, an American attacker from the Unit who is a Hard Breacher. Thanks to his Suri Torch gadget, he is capable of breaching silently any surface including reinforced walls.
  • Clash is a new British Defender with an expertise on mob behavior and snatch-squad tactics. She is a tough veteran, and a leading expert in riot control. Clash is notable for her Crowd Control Electro (CCE) Shield, which can slow down and damage nearby enemies thanks to its Taser, discouraging pushes and encouraging retreats.

In addition, players will rediscover the iconic Hereford Base training camp which has received a complete map rework including adjustments to the map’s flow, balancing, and visuals, to make it viable for competitive play.

Year 3 Season 3 major Update implementation

In addition to this new content, Operation Grim Sky will include a major update on the following features:

  • Correction of the weapon sights misalignment that caused automatic weapon to diverge from where the reticle was positioned.
  • From now on if players are not able to select an Operator before the end of the selection    phase, they will no longer be assigned Recruit, but will be assigned a random Operator from the list they have already unlocked.
  • Ability to mute the text or voice chat of each player individually.
  • Hatch Reinforcements will now allow for partial destruction.
