About Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege
Inspired by real-world counter-terrorist organisations, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege puts players in the middle of lethal close-quarter confrontations. For the first time in a Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six game, players will engage in sieges, a new style of assault where enemies have the means to transform their environments into modern strongholds while Rainbow Six teams lead the assault to breach the enemy’s position. Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege gives players unprecedented control over their ability to fortify their position by reinforcing walls and floors, using barbed wire and deployable shields, laying mines and more, or to breach the enemies’ position using observation drones, setting charges, rappelling and more. The fast pace and uniqueness of each siege sets a new bar for intense firefights, strategic gameplay and competitive gaming.

Heavy Metal Machines Interview with Aly Lenzi and Leonardo Lorenzoni

Heavy Metal Machines is a free to play MOBA that mixes elements of soccer, roller derby, and monster truck events. Two teams of four drivers must work together to drag a bomb to the enemy base. The game is available now on Steam.

We had a chance to sit down with Lead Game Designer Aly Lenzi and Community Manager Leonardo Lorenzoni to talk about Heavy Metal Machines

Heavy Metal Machines is a MOBA that mixes a lot of genres. Are there any particular games that inspired Heavy Metal Machines?

AL – The main inspiration is Rock’n’Roll Racing, but all the other Vehicle Arena games helped us shape our gameplay. Twisted Metal, Vigilante 8, Carmagedom, Road Rash, Destruction Derby, and other more recent titles influenced us, even if just a little bit. All those games were the ingredients for our end “feeling”, the emotions or game deliver.

However, competitive e-sports has guided us to forge the core of our gameplay, and we played every single MOBA, FPS, and Fighting Game out there extensively to enrich our capacity to direct Heavy Metal Machines to the correct competitive path.”

Balancing games is always a challenge. What you think is balanced during internal testing can be utterly broken in the hands of gamers. What is your strategy for balancing the game? Are there any good stories of gamers breaking Heavy Metal Machines in unexpected ways?

AL – We balance the game to preserve competitiveness and strategy-guided game. There is also something thought for the new players. We want them to join the game and feel that it is possible to have fun right on. There are no stories of gamers breaking HMM until now.

What’s your approach to getting new players into Heavy Metal Machines and teaching them enough skills to make them reasonably competitive in a short period of time? Do you think there is anything in your current method that you would like to improve in future updates?

LL – Community engagement is the deal. We are looking into this very carefully. Our Discord channel has a community manager for Portuguese, English, Russian, Turkish and French – but all other languages get supported in a way or other. We give them proper attention and they engage with each other to team up and play for competitions.

What is the process for creating a new character for the game, starting from an idea all the way to the character being added to the live servers?

AL – The process begins in two ways: Either from mechanics to artistic or the opposite. If a character is thought from the mechanics, the first thing to decide is the class (support, transporter or interceptor). Then we bring the highlights from the community’s feedback to create the weapons and abilities. Once it is set, the art begins to work on everything else, including lore. After intensive tests, we release it. Sometimes, characters are designed first in the arts: lore and visuals, then the game designers bring a whole mechanics into it.

The characters are a varied bunch, from the post-apocalyptic themed Rampage to the sci-fi styled Artificer. How do you tie together characters from different stylistic backgrounds together into the cohesive Heavy Metal Machine art style?

AL – We always had a thing for Rock’n’Roll Racing, and we wanted to bring its spirit right into Heavy Metal Machines. Very briefly: Our universe tells the story of a post-apocalyptic Earth were gargantuan monsters almost wiped-out the entire humanity. Right before extinction, people discovered that Heavy Metal Music was a very powerful weapon against the creatures, and with it, humanity escaped total annihilation. However, civilization returned to a dark age of sorts, one fuelled by gas, guns, and metal. Now the best pilots fight for the entertainment of the public, in a new Rome named Metal City, with its own Coliseums, the Arenas. Our first arena, Metal City Great Arena, has statues of the old Metal God that championed humanity against the monsters, and the pilots fight to keep theirs intact and prove their worth to the Gods of Heavy Metal.

Metal music is a major part of the game. What is the process of making and adding music to the game? At what point is the composer brought into the development process? What game resources do they access to inspire their work?

AL – Heavy Metal machines’ character follow the archetypes of jung. They have predetermined profiles which help to decide what music style it will receive. Once the art finishes the concept, this material is passed to a sound designer who creates the whole soundtrack for that pilot. Even though the employees behave very professional to bring soundtracks, they must know and understand heavy metal and its variations. The newly released character, Stargazer, brings a mix of electronic music and rock. Black Lotus bring Hindu sounds and rock.

One of the development team’s goals is to develop an eSport community around Heavy Metal Machines that will include tournaments with cash prizes. Can you share with us how you will be implementing this over the next few months?

LL – We are about to announce the second European championship. 2019 will be great for Esports in heavy metal machines. The Community has really got into the competitiveness of the game and plenty of teams are raising worldwide.

TOM CLANCY’S RAINBOW SIX® SIEGE REVEALS OPERATION WIND BASTION

TOM CLANCY’S RAINBOW SIX® SIEGE REVEALS OPERATION WIND BASTION

Discover the Moroccan mountains in the all-new Fortress map alongside two new Operators in Year 3 Season 4

SYDNEY, Australia — November 19th , 2018 — Ubisoft announced the full details of the fourth and last season of Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six® Siege third year of content. Operation Wind Bastion introduces an all-new Attacker and a Defender, Nomad and Kaid respectively, as well as a new map called Fortress, which is a military training facility and also Kaid’s home. Furthermore, in Year 3 Season 4, the Rainbow Six Siege shop will be redesigned to improve the user experience. For example, the shop will feature a new full screen view for weapons, a new light theme, and the possibility for players to browse left and right within a category among many other changes.

In this new season, one Attacker and one Defender, Nomad and Kaid will join the Rainbow Six Siege Operator line-up. Armed with her AK-74M and ARX200, Nomad uses her airjab launcher and proximity triggered air blast grenade to propel Defenders out of cover and expose them to the attacking team. In the meantime, Kaid uses his Rtila Electro claw to electrify all metallic objects in proximity: reinforced walls, barbed wire, deployable shields. His AUG A3 and TCSG12 makes him a powerful Defender and counter to hard breacher.

In addition to these two new Rainbow recruits, players will be able to explore the new Fortress map, a mudbrick Kasbah inspired by the iconic architecture from the southern region of Morocco. It is a military training facility that features a good rotation between floors, an accessible roof and many dangerous lines of sight and flanking routes.

The Test Server for Operation Wind Bastion will go live on November 19. The Test Server is an alternative version of Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege, allowing players to test upcoming gameplay features that will make their way into the main game itself. Since this is a testing environment, a consistent gameplay experience is not guaranteed on the Test Server. Players are invited to submit the issues they encounter on the Test Server on the R6 Fix platform at r6fix.ubi.com. The Test Server is exclusive to Windows PC.

IN-DEPTH GAMEPLAY FOOTAGE REVEALED FOR ONE PIECE WORLD SEEKER

IN-DEPTH GAMEPLAY FOOTAGE REVEALED FOR ONE PIECE WORLD SEEKER

  • Launch date announced for March 15th, 2019
  • The Pirate King Edition and Pre-Order Bonus also revealed

BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment Europe today shared new gameplay footage for ONE PIECE WORLD SEEKER, revealing a host of new features to coincide with the release date announcement of March 15th, 2019 for PlayStation®4, Xbox One and PC Digital.

As well as traversing the seamless world using Luffy’s acrobatic Gum-Gum fruit abilities, we are introduced to Luffy’s two main action modes (Haki). The first, the strength-based Arm Haki, focuses on raw power, allowing Luffy to unleash overwhelming force upon his opponents. The second, the subtler Observation Haki, allows Luffy to slow down time as well as improving his sneaking prowess with stealth attacks and the ability to see through walls.

Players can also switch between the standard camera and the lock camera to better target enemies in either of these modes.

The gameplay footage provides a first look at the Skill Tree and Crafting/Cooking mechanics. By completing missions and progressing through the game, Luffy will be granted Skill Points that enable players to upgrade his powers and abilities via the Skill Tree to better suit their own play style.

Crafting is accessed via Usopp or Franky, two of Luffy’s Straw Hat Pirate Crew, who can use items found by Luffy in the world to create new items and equipment, while Sanji can cook Lunch Boxes for the rest of the crew – enabling them to explore the islands and gather additional items for the players.

Finally, Luffy’s supremely powerful Gear Fourth mode is revealed for the first time, giving players access to powerful new combat skills and traversal techniques – but only for a short amount of time.

Also revealed today is the collector’s edition of the game, The Pirate King Edition. As well as a copy of ONE PIECE WORLD SEEKER, this version will feature an exclusive 21cm Luffy figurine, a replica of the Gum-Gum devil fruit, a CD featuring the original soundtrack of the game composed by Kohei Tanaka, and the Season Pass.

Fans that preorder ONE PIECE WORLD SEEKER will also gain access to an exclusive mission that reveals the secrets of the mysterious monster-shaped rocks of the island, as well as two unique outfits, the Luffy military costume and the Luffy swimsuit costume. PlayStation®4 players will also receive an extra item – the ONE PIECE WORLD SEEKER dynamic theme.

ONE PIECE WORLD SEEKER will be available on March 15th, 2019 for PlayStation®4, Xbox One and PC.

EXPERIENCE A CLASSIC POKÉMON TALE INSPIRED BY POKÉMON GO WHEN POKÉMON: LET’S GO, PIKACHU! AND POKÉMON: LET’S GO, EEVEE! LAUNCH ON NINTENDO SWITCH TODAY

EXPERIENCE A CLASSIC POKÉMON TALE INSPIRED BY POKÉMON GO WHEN POKÉMON: LET’S GO, PIKACHU! AND POKÉMON: LET’S GO, EEVEE! LAUNCH ON NINTENDO SWITCH TODAY

Explore the Kanto region with a friend or go solo, use the Poké Ball Plus to catch dozens of varied Pokémon, and connect to the Pokémon GO app to transfer Pokémon

16th November, 2018 – Take Pikachu or Eevee on an adventure across the Kanto region and prepare to catch Pokémon with streamlined catching gameplay inspired by Pokémon GO when Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! launch today on Nintendo Switch.

With over 300 million Pokémon games sold worldwide to date, and more than 800 million downloads of Pokémon GO, the Pokémon phenomenon that came to Australia and New Zealand in 1998 is set to get even stronger with today’s launch of Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! These two new mainline Pokémon games are available exclusively for Nintendo Switch, the unique home console from Nintendo that can be played anywhere, anytime, with anyone, which has passed 22 million consoles sold worldwide.

Players of Pokémon GO will be able to transfer select Pokémon caught in the real world to their Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! game by connecting their smart device to the Nintendo Switch console via Bluetooth Low Energy connection.

Enjoy the story and find out where it all began

With these new titles’ accessible gameplay, Pokémon players from the series’ 20-year history, and anyone who discovered the series through Pokémon GO, are all invited to become a Pokémon Trainer in a classic Pokémon story. Beginning their journey in Pallet Town, players will meet, catch, and raise many Pokémon on their journey to become the best Pokémon Trainer that they can be. In a story based on Pokémon Yellow: Special Pikachu Edition brought to the living room in high definition, players will need to work with their partner Pikachu or partner Eevee to thwart the dastardly plans of Team Rocket, who wish to take advantage of Pokémon for their nefarious ends. Even after the story ends, there’s more to do, with the challenge of battling skilled Master Trainers, trying to catch all 151 Pokémon, and more. Plus, any Pokémon originally discovered in the Kanto region caught in Pokémon GO can be transferred to Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee!

Invite a friend to join the adventure anytime, anywhere

Friends and family can get in on the fun and give a helping hand with the Support Play feature. For example, with this feature it’s possible for two siblings to explore the world together using a single Joy-Con and a Poké Ball Plus (or a single Joy-Con each) – they can even both have a Pokémon travel alongside them as well. In battles, both players will be able to control a Pokémon and issue it commands, giving them the upper hand, while they can boost their chances of catching wild Pokémon by throwing Poké Balls at the same time. And with the benefits of the Nintendo Switch console, friends and family alike can play on their TV at home or take it with them on their travels to catch Pokémon together anytime, anywhere.

Catch Pokémon like never before with the Poké Ball Plus

For the first time in the Pokémon series, players can grab a Poké Ball Plus to catch Pokémon with a simple throwing action just like a Pokémon Trainer would. The Poké Ball Plus is a Poké Ball-shaped device that can be used to play and catch Pokémon in Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! in place of the Joy-Con. In addition to having motion controls, the Poké Ball and players will actually feel it rumble and hear the Pokémon inside – it feels like you really caught a Pokémon.

The Poké Ball Plus is also compatible with Pokémon GO, so while connected, players no longer need to look at their phone to know if a Pokémon appears nearby. Pressing the button on Poké Ball Plus throws a Poké Ball, and the device will light up and vibrate to let players know if their catch was successful. As long as Poké Ball Plus is connected to players’ smartphones, it’ll also measure the distance they travel, so they can hatch eggs or get candy from their buddy Pokémon.

Connect to Pokémon Go for even more fun

There is a deep connection between Pokémon GO and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee!, as Pokémon originally discovered in the Kanto region that players have caught in Pokémon GO can be brought into these two new Nintendo Switch games.

The GO Park complex is where players’ Pokémon will arrive after syncing their Pokémon GO game with Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! or Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! It’s here where players will be able to see their Pokémon running around and having fun. There’s no limit to the number of Pokémon GO accounts that can be tied to a single save file in Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! or Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! which means players are not limited to connecting with just their own Pokémon GO account – they can get Pokémon from friends and family, too.

Join Pikachu or Eevee on an adventure across the Kanto region and catch Pokémon in a whole new way when Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! launch today on Nintendo Switch. Experience a classic Pokémon story and catch Pokémon with the Poké Ball Plus controller, while it’s possible to transfer Pokémon caught with Pokémon GO to both Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! game.

HELSINKI — November 15, 2018 — Shiver Games is pleased to announce the Lucius saga continues next month with Lucius III set to launch December 13th on PC. To accompany the announcement, Shiver has released a batch of new gameplay videos showing off some of the game’s mysterious environments.

Lucius III will be priced at $19.99 on Steam and is now available for wishlisting. It will also be available through other various digital platforms upon release.

Lucius III returns to its roots in terms of both gameplay and story. The game will play as a narrative adventure, focused around the atmospheric little town of Winter Hill – the very same town where Lucius spent his first six years.

Lucius continues to fulfill the prophecy of the rapture, and finally we get to see where the road takes us. The story will include his signature gruesome violence and disturbing images, but this time there will be some heartfelt moments of regret and sorrow.
