Merciless Action RPG Dark Devotion to Combat Heresy on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PC in Early 2019

Merciless Action RPG Dark Devotion to Combat Heresy on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PC in Early 2019

New Video Introduces Deadly Templars, Beasts Which Will Help Players Repent in Q1 2019

PARIS – January 8, 2019 – Publisher The Arcade Crew and developer Hibernian Workshop today announce that Dark Devotion, the sidescrolling action RPG depicting a society’s commitment to a macabre religion, will test the dedication of Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and PC owners at launch early this year. Dark Devotion has received positive praise in previews, receiving several nods from PAX East 2018, Gamescom and Bitsummit for impressive showing in early preview rounds.

Today’s platform reveal is paired with a new gameplay clip detailing a few of the pivotal battles awaiting those brave enough to prove their faith in Dark Devotion’s unforgiving temple. These fights demand flawless reflexes, keen intuition, and an unwavering determination to persevere over an army of godlike adversaries. Only by overcoming these peerless, horrifying warriors can true allegiance to Dark Devotion’s divine designer be proven, a feat well worth unending anguish to the faithful.

Dark Devotion encourages adventurers to explore and experiment with caution; traps and

ghoulish enemies stand ready to punish a careless pace, and favoring the wrong weapon could bring a staunch disadvantage in its style of weighty, calculated combat.

The game’s atmospheric world draws inspiration from French gothic architecture and the works of H.P. Lovecraft and Edgar Allen Poe, informing its labyrinth of foreboding chambers with a distinct sense of dread and danger. Meticulously crafted pixel art brings every encountered horror to life, lending a sense of beauty to Dark Devotion’s grim world despite it being plagued with suffering.

Subjects eager to prove their staunch dedication to the latest Dark Devotion news should visit (https://www.darkdevotion.fr/) and add the game to their Steam wishlist (https://store.steampowered.com/app/718590/Dark_Devotion/).

In addition to customizing the perfect hero, players can take on the role of the main antagonist, the Veil Demon. Conjure traps, summon elite creatures, and use the power of possession to control enemies including massive boss monsters to prevent heroes from completing mission objectives. Constant updates are planned during Early Access including new areas, classes, magic abilities and much more!

“With Breach, our vision is to deliver the best elements of popular genres and bring it into one action driven multiplayer buffet,” stated Dallas Dickinson, President/CEO of QC Games. “As players dive in, they’re going to choose a class that best fits their playstyle with a ton more options opening as they progress in the battle for control of the Earth. No pressure, though.”

70,000 years ago, humanity was on the verge of extinction until a group of Immortals created the Veil, splitting Earth into two realities: one reality that features the Earth we know, and an alternate Earth where mythological creatures thrive. Now the Veil has been shattered and the two worlds are collapsing into each other with catastrophic consequences. Players take control of heroes who have been imbued with “The Spark” to master magical abilities. Travel across the world to iconic locations that have been breached by this mystical parallel Earth and clash against legendary mythological enemies as well as an unexplained malevolent spirit, the Veil Demon.
