News editor sim Headliner: NoviNews makes the rounds on Nintendo Switch September 5th

Seattle, Washington – August 28th, 2019 – This just in: Unbound Creations is bringing its unapologetically politically charged potboiler and news editor sim Headliner: NoviNews to Nintendo Switch on September 5th. Pre-orders are available on the Nintendo Switch eShop for £11.99 / $13.99. PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions will follow in December through publisher Chorus Worldwide.

Cast in the role of a “Headliner”, you operate as the chief editor of the country’s largest news publication. Acting as the voice of the publication,  you must decide what stories to run, meet your quotas, keep your audience engaged, and make enough money to keep food in the dog bowl. Controversy equals clicks, and with the world in conflict, it’s up to you to cultivate the country’s culture through the court of public opinion.

Beyond making executive decisions behind your desk, Headliner: NoviNews also lets you walk the streets as your custom made avatar observes how the stories you ran influenced the public. Which politicians will they support? Will a riot break out? How will you report on said riot? With geopolitical tensions at an all-time high, it’s never an easy decision being the Headliner!

“I’ve been a big fan of the Nintendo Switch since its inception, and felt like there was untapped potential for it to house serious political games,” said Unbound Creations founder and director Jakub Kasztalski. “I’ve always been interested in how media shapes people’s perceptions, which in turn shapes reality. What stories we deem newsworthy, and how we report on those stories, fundamentally changes our entire society. Headliner: NoviNews explores the trials and tribulations of trying to remain unbiased in an inherently biased world.”

Headliner: NoviNews recently won the “Best Overall Game” of Intel Buzz Seattle, 2018, was a finalist for Best Action & Adventure Game at the 2018 TIGA Awards, and it was part of the Official Selection at PAX West 2018’s Indie Megabooth and the same year’s Seattle Indies Expo.

About Unbound Creations
Unbound Creations is an independent game studio focusing on crafting believable worlds, immersive gameplay, and strong narrative experience. Founded by Jakub “Koobazaur” Kasztalski, Unbound Creations launched the 2013 political-narrative adventure Postmortem: one must die, followed by the 2016  choose-your-own-adventure meets crime-mystery, Karaski… What Goes Up. In 2017 Unbound Creations launched HEADLINER, a game about controlling the news and seeing the effects on your career, society and family. This was followed up by its 2018 spiritual successor Headliner: NoviNews, which is coming to Nintendo Switch in summer 2019.

To Valhalla! 2D Action-RPG Niffelheim Coming Soon to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch™

To Valhalla! 2D Action-RPG Niffelheim Coming Soon to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch™

This Fall, a Stunning World of Barbaric Gods, Frightful Environments and Deadly Enemies Makes its Way to Consoles

KALININGRAD, RUSSIA (AUGUST 28, 2019) — Vikings rejoice! Ellada Games’ 2D side-scrolling action-survival RPG, NIffleheim, will be making its way to PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch™  this fall — and will feature a variety of enhancements and additions upon release. On September 20, console players will be able to set sail for adventure as they explore a gorgeously crafted Norse-themed world while creating the tools and weapons they need to survive the onslaught of monsters both above-ground, and in the deadly dungeons of the underworld — all of which are part of their quest to earn entry into Valhalla! Niffelheim’s art style will immerse players in a dark storybook world, one where success hinges on both skill, courage, and perhaps a little luck! For the game’s console release, developer and publisher Ellada games is adding new content and creatures over the original PC release, including more bosses and special magic items, along with balance updates and a repair mechanic.

“With the upcoming launch of Niffelheim on consoles, we are thrilled to invite would-be warriors to join the quest to enter Valhalla,” said Andrey Arutyunyan, Co-Founder of Ellada Games. “Niffelheim will bring a whole new survival-adventure experience to consoles, one featuring elements that fans of survival, crafting, adventure, and action genres can find something to enjoy!”

Niffelheim puts players in the battle-weary boots of a brave Viking Warrior, woefully felled in battle. Instead of finding well-deserved glory in Asgard, his soul is imprisoned in the harsh, unforgiving realm of Niffelheim, and to survive the hostile surroundings, players must ransack neighboring lands, explore the most dangerous of dungeons, and keep their tortured soul alive long enough to find their way to glorious Valhalla!

Key Features:

  • Do What it Takes to Survive: Using only the items that can be collected or forged, players must build shelter, weapons, and armor. Then, brew healing potions and deadly poisons to thwart enemies and prepare delicious, life-restoring meals for themselves and their companions.
  • Carve Out a Legacy: Defeat any and all foes who dare to oppose you in your quest for glory. Receive quests from the Death Priests, or go it alone and survive by wits, blade, cunning, and luck.
  • Explore and Escape:  Scour the cruel environment in search of pieces of the portal to Asgard, heavily guarded by powerful foes — a necessary risk worth taking in order to make an escape!

Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey Now Available on PC

Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey Now Available on PC

Explore beautiful Neogene Africa as you journey to survive millions of years ago in this unique third-person open world survival game

Sydney, Australia – August 28, 2019Private Division and Panache Digital Games today launched Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey for PC on the Epic Game Store. Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey, is the debut title from Panache Digital Games, the independent development studio co-founded in 2014 by Patrice Désilets, the original creative director behind Assassin’s Creed. In the game, players relive the early stages of human evolution millions of years ago, battling a harsh and brutal world to ensure the future of their lineage.

Players begin ten million years ago as an early hominid, our first known ancestor, swinging through the trees of a lush jungle full of dangerous predators like giant pythons, sabre-tooth tigers, deadly alligators, as well as other beasts, and will need to master both their character in addition to their surroundings. Through carefully analysing and discovering the environment, players will help ensure the survival of their clan by expanding the capabilities of their hominid. The player will have the choice in how to advance the neuronal network, offering a host of role-playing game elements that improve different abilities. These choices may allow the clan to advance motor functions, heighten their senses, enhance their intelligence, and unlock better communication amongst the tribe. Eventually, the player may evolve their clan to a more advanced species through the decisions and actions along their play experience. Ultimately the player will determine if the clan will have an enduring lineage or become another extinct species that recedes into history.

“I am extremely proud of what my team and I have accomplished with Ancestors. I wanted to make a game about evolution that would help remind of us of our shared primal instincts. Once I thought of this concept, I could not shake this idea of struggling, trying to survive in this massive, dangerous world,” said Patrice Désilets, Co-Founder and Creative Director of Panache Digital Games. “Today is a great day because we can now share this game with the real world. It may be a difficult journey but hopefully you can survive just as our own ancestors did.”

“It has been a privilege to partner with Panache Digital Games to make Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey,” said Kari Toyama, Senior Producer at Private Division. “Patrice Désilets is meticulous in his approach to game design, and together with his small team incredibly talented developers, they created an experience that is wholly unique.”

Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey is a third-person exploration survival game in which players will establish a clan in an unforgiving wilderness of Africa spanning from ten million to two million years ago. The game mechanics focus on three main principles: explore, expand, and evolve. With danger around every corner, players must carefully explore their environment set in Neogene Africa, slowly expanding their clan’s territory, and choosing how to evolve their clan from one generation to the next. Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey is the first title from Panache Digital Games.
