Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey Now Available on PC

Explore beautiful Neogene Africa as you journey to survive millions of years ago in this unique third-person open world survival game

Sydney, Australia – August 28, 2019Private Division and Panache Digital Games today launched Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey for PC on the Epic Game Store. Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey, is the debut title from Panache Digital Games, the independent development studio co-founded in 2014 by Patrice Désilets, the original creative director behind Assassin’s Creed. In the game, players relive the early stages of human evolution millions of years ago, battling a harsh and brutal world to ensure the future of their lineage.

Players begin ten million years ago as an early hominid, our first known ancestor, swinging through the trees of a lush jungle full of dangerous predators like giant pythons, sabre-tooth tigers, deadly alligators, as well as other beasts, and will need to master both their character in addition to their surroundings. Through carefully analysing and discovering the environment, players will help ensure the survival of their clan by expanding the capabilities of their hominid. The player will have the choice in how to advance the neuronal network, offering a host of role-playing game elements that improve different abilities. These choices may allow the clan to advance motor functions, heighten their senses, enhance their intelligence, and unlock better communication amongst the tribe. Eventually, the player may evolve their clan to a more advanced species through the decisions and actions along their play experience. Ultimately the player will determine if the clan will have an enduring lineage or become another extinct species that recedes into history.

“I am extremely proud of what my team and I have accomplished with Ancestors. I wanted to make a game about evolution that would help remind of us of our shared primal instincts. Once I thought of this concept, I could not shake this idea of struggling, trying to survive in this massive, dangerous world,” said Patrice Désilets, Co-Founder and Creative Director of Panache Digital Games. “Today is a great day because we can now share this game with the real world. It may be a difficult journey but hopefully you can survive just as our own ancestors did.”

“It has been a privilege to partner with Panache Digital Games to make Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey,” said Kari Toyama, Senior Producer at Private Division. “Patrice Désilets is meticulous in his approach to game design, and together with his small team incredibly talented developers, they created an experience that is wholly unique.”

Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey is a third-person exploration survival game in which players will establish a clan in an unforgiving wilderness of Africa spanning from ten million to two million years ago. The game mechanics focus on three main principles: explore, expand, and evolve. With danger around every corner, players must carefully explore their environment set in Neogene Africa, slowly expanding their clan’s territory, and choosing how to evolve their clan from one generation to the next. Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey is the first title from Panache Digital Games.

HUNT: SHOWDOWN OFFICIALLY LAUNCHES ON WINDOWS PC

HUNT: SHOWDOWN OFFICIALLY LAUNCHES ON WINDOWS PC

Crytek’s online multiplayer bounty hunting game gets all-new DLC on PC and will officially release on Xbox One soon!

FRANKFURT, Germany – Aug. 27, 2019 – Today is the day! Crytek’s online multiplayer bounty hunting game Hunt: Showdown has fully launched out of Steam Early Access and is now available on Windows PC for $39.99 standalone, or bundled with the new “Legends of the Bayou” DLC for $44.99.  The Xbox One version of Hunt is expected to launch out of Xbox Game Preview soon.

The “Legends of the Bayou” DLC plunges deep into the bayou’s dark heart to bring players two new Legendary Hunter characters, two unique weapons, and 500 Blood Bonds. Stepping out of the shadows are two formidable Legendary Hunters—the Bone Doctor and the Weird Sister—as well as the Legendary Copperhead, a Nagant M1895 named for the ubiquitous indigenous snake. Players who already own the game can purchase the DLC alone for $9.99.

As a Steam Early Access title, Hunt: Showdown grew substantially over time with more than 20 updates and patches developed with constant feedback from the community. That close cooperation between the team and fans, says Hunt Producer Fatih Özbayram, was integral to the game’s development process.

Hunt: Showdown’s development has been completely community-driven, and that has been such a rewarding experience for the entire team. Together with the community, we were able to create the fun, tense, memorable gaming experience we set out to make,” said Özbayram. “For example, it was a community request that inspired us to add teams of three to Hunt, alongside many other features. So a big thank you goes out to everyone who has supported us throughout the development process – we couldn’t have done it without you!”

About Hunt: Showdown

Hunt: Showdown is a competitive first-person bounty hunting game that packs the thrill of survival games into a match-based format. Set in Louisiana in 1895, the game boasts a mixture of PvP and PvE elements that creates a uniquely tense experience. It’s not just the creatures who are a threat—it’s every Hunter on the map. In the classic game mode, a match of Hunt pits ten players—playing solo or in teams of two—against each other as they race to take out gruesome beasts for a bounty they must collect and get off of the map, while Hunt’s quickplay mode offers a shorter match for solo players to scavenge for weapons as they compete for a diminishing pool of bounty. The higher the risk, the higher the reward–but a single mistake could cost everything.

Espire 1: VR Operative Ready to Deploy on All Major VR Platforms September 24, 2019

Espire 1: VR Operative Ready to Deploy on All Major VR Platforms September 24, 2019

Pre-order Offers Available Now

ROSWELL, Ga. – Aug. 27, 2019 – Publisher Tripwire Interactive and developer Digital Lode announced today that Espire 1: VR Operative is scheduled to launch on all major VR platforms on Sept. 24, 2019, including Oculus Quest, Oculus Rift, Oculus Rift S, HTC Vive, Valve Index, Windows Mixed Reality, and PlayStation®VR.

Following a successful showing at E3 2019, where Espire 1: VR Operative received the prestigious Best of Show award from Upload VR, in addition to multiple Best of Show nominations, pre-orders are now available for the most anticipated VR title of 2019.

Starting later today, PC customers who pre-order the game on Steam will also receive a free Steam copy of Tripwire’s first VR title, Killing Floor: Incursion.

PlayStation®VR fans (North America only at this time) who pre-order on the PS Store will receive a 15% off discount starting on August 30, 2019.

Espire 1: VR Operative aims to set the new gold standard for the stealth genre in virtual reality –introducing the “Control Theatre,” a unique solution to the challenge of VR motion sickness for first-person titles. Espire 1: VR Operative drafts players as drone operators of the future. Players become “Espire Agents” and use cutting-edge Virtual Reality hardware to remote-operate the Espire model 1 from the safety of their Control Theatre.

The technology behind the Control Theatre and the game’s approach to movement lie at the heart of Espire 1: VR Operative’s gameplay and intuitive VR control system. Any time a player performs any artificial locomotion, the game world shrinks down to the size of a floating tablet, with the Control Theatre visible in the player’s peripheral vision. This “VR within VR” system allows for precise, full freedom movement, while maintaining immersion, and eliminating “VR motion sickness” for almost everyone. The Control Theatre is fully customizable to suit the player’s level of comfort, and can be fully disabled for those already comfortable moving in VR.

This unprecedented freedom of movement allows the title’s stealth and action gameplay mechanics shine. Make sure to check out our press kit for series of curated gameplay gifs, showing an Espire Agent stealing a guards gun to neutralize him, using the voice command “Freeze” to immobilize a guard, throwing a spare ammunition clip to cause a distraction, and activating bullet time to headshot multiple guards while dropping down from the ceiling.

Espire 1: VR Operative Key Features Include:

  • The definitive VR stealth experience: bringing the stealth genre to the exciting medium of Virtual Reality, delivering gameplay mechanics for the stealth and action genres that have yet to be explored.
  • Full freedom of movement: allowing players the freedom to move anywhere within their virtual environment, moving, climbing, and falling with full comfort and no motion sickness for almost all players.
  • Complete single-player story, rich in detail: developed as a dedicated single player VR experience with individual story missions and scenario missions that use the story mission environments for short challenges.
  • Voice control: Using the VR headset’s onboard microphone, players can make commands and perform actions simply by speaking. The noises players make can draw the enemy to their location – adding a new way to gain the advantage.
  • Arsenal of weapons and gadgets: As an Espire model 1 Operative, players will have access to dozens of unique gadgets and weapons such as a tranquilizer pistol and deployable spy cameras in order to complete the mission objectives.
  • Global Leaderboard: A worldwide tally awards players a competitive score based on mission time, movement, stealth, ammo conservation, takedowns and other factors.
  • Intuitive controls that mimic real life: Interaction in this game aims to be natural and intuitive. Instead of memorizing dozens of button combinations for every action, players perform them as they would in real life. Operatives can crouch and enter cover by physically using their body.
  • Smart AI: Enemy combatants in this game actively hunt the player. The AI responds to sight, sound, and other stimuli and will react to with varying levels of suspicion based on the player’s physical stance, movement speed, cover and relative location.

To stay up to date on the latest news as development for Espire 1: VR Operative continues, be sure to visit the official website – and follow the developers on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.
