You won’t have to wait that long to play it, however, as a demo is available today through October 26th for Steam Next Fest – and your progress will transfer over into the full game!

Originally released in 2001 by Ubisoft and developed by Stormfront Studios, Pool of Radiance: Ruins of Myth Drannor is a turn-based party RPG set in the Forgotten Realms. It returns to the legendary Pool of Radiance, one of the most storied legacies in CRPG history – now updated to run smoothly on modern systems!

Players may choose between the genuine turn-based style of role-playing or focus on action with a timed-turn style of play.

This re-release features plenty of modern bells and whistles, including widescreen support up to 4K, upscaled background assets for sharper visuals, full controller support, and a reworked camera. The UI has also been improved with upscaling, a new action bar, and additional tooltips, while adjustable combat animation speeds let players fine-tune the pace of battles. For those who prefer the original experience, an optional “Legacy” mode preserves the classic gameplay and visuals. Steam Achievements, Cloud Saves, Steam Deck support, numerous bug fixes, and other quality-of-life improvements round out the package, giving players more ways than ever to enjoy this lost classic.

  • Choose how much you want to modernize the experience with granular settings and an optional “Legacy” mode that preserves the original gameplay and visuals

“Pool of Radiance: Ruins of Myth Drannor was an ambitious game for 2001” said Artem Shchuiko, Director at SNEG. “It has its own place in Dungeons & Dragons gaming history, but for years it has been challenging to experience on modern systems. Our goal with this re-release is simple: preserve what made the original special, fix what needs fixing, and make it accessible again to both longtime fans and a new generation of CRPG players.”

OMEA at Steam Next Fest: a second adventure, where you speak and the world answers

Say anything. The story remembers. Free demo, October 19 to 26 on Steam.

PALO ALTO, Calif., October 19, 2026 – AImmersive Inc. is bringing OMEA, its narrative RPG played by speaking or typing what you would actually do, to Steam Next Fest with the biggest update the free demo has had since launch. Alongside Odin’s Trial, the demo now includes a second complete adventure, Echoes in the Abyss, a dark science fiction investigation on a planet that does not want you there. On Windows PCs with a GeForce RTX card, the characters’ voices are generated on the player’s own GPU, and speech recognition runs on the player’s machine on Windows, Mac and Steam Deck. The demo is free and playable throughout Next Fest, October 19 to 26.

OMEA Demo, free: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4735490

Every character was written by a human. You are the only one improvising.

Every world is written by an author and built by game designers, with a handcrafted cast who have their own motives, remember what you said, lie to you and hold grudges. You play by saying what your character does, in your own words, and the story answers in voice, music and pictures. The narrator now keeps closer track of who is in the room with you, and of what each character wants, has promised and holds against you, for the whole adventure.

“Every other AI story product sells you a dungeon master that improvises everything, including the parts that should not be improvised. In OMEA the author decides what the world is and who lives in it; the model’s job is to let those people react to you, in their own voice, when you speak. You are the only one improvising, and that is the whole point,” says Max Salamonowicz, founder of AImmersive.

Echoes in the Abyss

A corporation is paying you to collect Dr. Marcus Finn, and the results of his work, from an oddly quiet research station on Saaremaa, a backwater planet where the universe dumps its secrets. You fly in on the Blek Vagn with a small crew whose motives stay murky for a long while, and you go down with robots who saw what happened before you got there. It is darker, more claustrophobic and more dialogue-heavy than Odin’s Trial: almost 100 locations, over 100 glossary entries and a much larger cast.

The demo includes the complete adventure.

Your voice in, their voices out, on your RTX

Speak your action into the microphone and the game understands it on your machine. On Windows PCs with a GeForce RTX GPU, every character’s voice is generated locally on that card, with the first word audible about three seconds after a line starts, and each member of the Echoes cast has a voice and effect of their own, from the ship’s radio to the robots. If the GPU is too slow, the game says so and switches to its online voices, so nobody is locked out.

A stage that breathes

The cast now moves: characters breathe, turn and shift between poses while they talk, and rooms are built in layered depth that gives depth to every scene. In Echoes, the screens in each room run, clouds cross the sky, and the cabin shakes when the ship comes down. Adventures end properly too: a victory brings an epilogue with your hero’s name on it, and a death brings an epitaph. OMEA runs on Windows, Mac and Steam Deck, with full controller support and gyro cursor control on Steam Deck.

About AImmersive Inc.

AImmersive is a team of sixteen split between Poland and Palo Alto. It builds OMEA, a narrative RPG you play by saying what your character does, in your own words, and where the world answers back. OMEA runs on AImmersive’s own narrative model; every world and every character in it is written by human authors. The OMEA demo has been on Steam since July 2026, and players spend over two hours on average in a story designed to take one.

Written by humans. Lived by you.

High Times – Gameplay

High Times combines café management with a relationship-focused story, placing you behind the counter at The Hotbox, a donut shop whose creations can change how people feel. Customers arrive with personal troubles, romantic complications and unresolved relationships, and listening to their stories helps you decide which emotional boost to serve alongside their order. Your own past also catches up with you through former partners you once ghosted, creating opportunities to reconnect, address unfinished business and pursue romance with six characters. With a cast of over 30 customers, the café becomes a meeting place where your conversations and cooking choices influence how their stories unfold.

Between conversations, you prepare donuts, fulfil orders and collect tips while discovering recipes, unlocking tools and decorating your shop. Choosing what to serve goes beyond matching flavours: the emotions your donuts inspire can affect customers’ actions and steer relationships towards different outcomes. Character customisation lets you shape your protagonist’s appearance, while branching stories offer multiple endings to discover across repeat visits. Comic-style animated illustrations, English voice acting for the supporting cast and a soundtrack mixing rock, city pop and lo-fi give the experience a lively personality, connecting its cooking routine with stories about heartbreak, reconciliation and moving forward.

“This demo is the clearest look yet at what Chapter 1 really is – the renovation, the ghost-hunting, the music, the village, and the moment everything starts getting much stranger,” said Anil Glendinning, Writer and Creative Director at Friday Sundae.“It’s a bigger playable slice of the world we’ve been building, and a strong preview of what players can expect from the first chapter when it launches in Early Access this December.”

Alex Brightman, who stars as player character Chris David, describes the game as bringing “the energy of musical theatre” into a first-person adventure, with players shaping how Chris responds as the story unfolds through dialogue and song.

Singing and starring are Alex Brightman (Hazbin Hotel / Beetlejuice), Billy Boyd (The Lord of the Rings), Marcia Richards and Josh Waters Rudge (The Skints), Ben Starr (Clair Obscur: Expedition 33) and Elsie Lovelock (Iron Lung).

Chapter 1 unfolds across 15 episodic missions, each telling its own story within a larger mystery and often ending on a cliffhanger. Players can dip in for an episode or settle in to binge the chapter, with Chapters 2 and 3 following in 2027.

The free Steam demo is available now for Steam Next Fest launching today.
