Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot Trailer Focuses on Character Growth

While the most recent trailer for Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot may have aimed for a bit of anime nostalgia this new trailer focuses entirely on the gameplay aspect of the game. This includes showing off how players will be able to strengthen Goku through his journey as he will grow stronger from more than just fighting as eating certain foods can provide stat boosts to Goku and his allies and gathering special orbs can unlock additional powers for Goku to use in combat.

There are also a number of other growth methods that the game features and you can check them out in the trailer below and be sure to keep an eye out for the game when it is released by Bandai Namco on January 17th for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.

Disaster Report 4 Plus: Summer Memories Releases in the West on April 7

NIS America has announced that they are planning on releasing Disaster Report 4 Plus: Summer Memories in North America and Europe on April 7th for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC. There will be both a standard edition of the game available alongside a special “limited edition” priced at $89.99 and will include a copy of the game, an official soundtrack, a novelty “First Aid” collector’s box, and novelty emergency backpack.

To go along with this announcement the company also released almost two minutes of gameplay footage showing off a bit of what players can expect in Disaster Report 4 Plus: Summer Memories and you can check that out below.

Samurai Shodown Heads to the West on Switch on February 25

It looks like Nintendo Switch owners will soon be able to play the latest game in the Samurai Shodown series as it has been revealed by SNK that Samurai Shodown will be releasing on the Switch on February 25th. Those who pre-order the game before release will also be given a Switch port of Samurai Shodown 2 which was originally released back in 1999.

Currently Samurai Shodown is available fore the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One around the world with the Switch version already released in Japan and it is worth noting that a PC release is still in the works but not dated at the time of this reveal.

Monster Hunter World: Iceborne Launches on PC

PC gamers are finally getting more content on Monster Hunter World with the launch of the “Iceborne” expansion. Console gamers have been exploring the icy depths of Hoarfrost Reach since last September. PC gamers have been on a delayed release schedule since Capcom opted to release the PC version nine months after the console titles. The five month release gap means the PC release lag is shortening, which is good news as the PC version has been a major success for Capcom.

“Iceborne” takes players to Hoarfrost Reach where the new Elder Dragon Velkhana resides. The area is the largest in franchise history as the borders expands as story missions are completed. The zone also introduces new monsters and subspecies of old favourites.

The expansion also improves some of the game’s mechanics. A new difficulty level tuned for two players has been added. Combat has been cleaned up with changes to all 14 weapon types and the new Clutch Claw mechanic. Additionally, Master Rank veterans will now have more reasons to help out lower ranked players with the Hunter Helper incentive.

“Iceborne” is available now on Steam for $39.99 USD or $59.95 AUD.

LOS ANGELES (Jan. 8, 2020) – Revealed earlier at the Thailand Game Show in October 2019, Netmarble announced their all-new original team of four Marvel Super Heroes. ‘Warriors of the Sky’ can now be recruited in today’s MARVEL Future Fight update. New uniforms, gameplay systems, and other improvements have also been added to celebrate the inclusion of the MARVEL Future Fight-exclusive playable characters.

The four Super Heroes that make up the ‘Warriors of the Sky’ team consist of Blue Dragon, War Tiger, Sun Bird,and Shadow Shell. Each character has unique powers and different backstories for players to learn, explore, and collect.

Today’s update introduces ‘Potential Awaken’, a new system that allows heroes to gain new active skills. Heroes capable of awakening potential can be developed by satisfying their growth conditions.

In addition, Story Missions have been renewed with all-new system content. New Story Missions are introduced to enhance the Story’s delivery and excitement to Agents.

Agents can also access new uniforms for Captain America, Iron Man, Black Widow and Captain America (Sharon Rogers).  

Other improvements to MARVEL Future Fight include:  

  • Crescent Upgrade – Crescent can be upgraded to Tier-3 to unlock new ultimate skills
  • Unlock ‘Realize Potential’ feature – Blue Dragon, War Tiger, Sun Bird, Shadow Shell, Songbird, White Tiger, Wiccan, Hulkling and Squirrel Girl
  • Other Updates – Enhanced Equipment and Custom Gear for game convenience

BRISBANE, AUSTRALIA – 9 January, 2020 – Speaking Simulator, the hilarious game about an android struggling to infiltrate human society, initiates its plan for world domination on Nintendo Switch™ 30 January, launching simultaneously alongside the previously announced PC and Mac versions coming to Steam.

At the behest of an adorably malevolent but incredibly inept AI, venture forth into the human world as a robot built to live among them. Customize the android’s appearance, then utilize the latest in humanoid mouth technology to assimilate and ascend. How hard can talking to people be, anyway? Robots do not have social anxiety and existential dread…right?

Start off simple with first dates and job interviews, but as the android further ingrains itself into society, survive public speaking nightmares like wedding toasts and eulogies. Take too long between words or misplace the tongue and the robot will get nervous, causing its face to explode. Humans tend to find this suspicious. It’s hard to blend in when an android’s piston-powered tongue knocks out its teeth.

Simultaneously flail the tongue and maneuver lips with tricky controls to simulate human speech. Speaking Simulator utilizes the most realistic gibberish system in all of gaming, created with real linguistic theory. One hand controls tongue placement, requiring quick presses on red buttons inside the mouth. The other hand elongates or purses the lips to form words. PC players can use webcams to control the android’s mouth movements.

Chase a high score in each level by sounding like a natural speaker. Unlock new upgrades adding layers of difficulty and increasing the score threshold. Use Socio-Optic Dynamics to make just the right amount of eye contact and Expressive Facial Pistons for some good ol’ human eyebrow wiggling. When all that stress is too much, blow off steam at a club in Self Expression Mode, where humans and robots can dance the night away. 

“Words are hard, and a lot of us who are unquestionably human take that for granted,” said Jed Dawson, co-founder at Affable Games. “When we started making Speaking Simulator we realized the concept of pushing words out of mouth-holes is actually incredibly funny and gross, and therefore ripe for a comedy game.”

Speaking Simulator will be available in English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, and Traditional and Simplified Chinese 30 January on Nintendo Switch and PC/Mac via Steam.

Expansive 0.16.5 update introduces new Domination game mode, new Arena map, new vehicle, Royale Pass Season 11 and more to the blockbuster mobile game

LOS ANGELES – Jan. 8, 2020 – The 0.16.5 content update arrives in PUBG MOBILE introducing the new Domination mode with the new Arena map “Town”, the all-new Royale Pass Season 11 themed with “Operation Tomorrow” and more upgrades, available for free on the App Store and Google Play beginning Thursday, Jan. 9.

Players now can enter the new Arena map “Town” with the new Domination mode, where they will be assigned to either the blue or red team for a 4v4 battle and capture the bases to win. One random base will be activated soon after the match begins, and the next base will be activated after the first base is captured by either team. The team who captures 2 bases first from the total 3 bases wins. Super Weapon Crates are available for players to blow enemies away with super weapons and enjoy the exciting backstreet firefights.

In response to players’ requests for firearm training, the original version of the Warehouse map has been restored and converted into the Arena Training map, where players can pick up and practice all weapons from the ground anytime instead of using their loadout.

In addition to the new gameplay mode and new maps, players can also unlock the all-new “Operation Tomorrow” themed update with more new missions and rewards, as well as high quality futuristic outfits as the Royale Pass Season 11 begins.

  • Light Snowmobile – In Classic Mode, players can now enjoy the new vehicle exclusively in Vikendi map, which is the perfect ride for two. It is faster and moves more efficiently than the original Snowmobile but is also more easily damaged
