Ghost of Tsushima Releasing on June 26

Sony and Sucker Punch have announced that they now have a set release date for Ghost of Tsushima as the company is aiming to have the PlayStation 4 exclusive released on June 26th. Alongside this the company released a story trailer and some details about the various versions of the game that players can purchase at launch.

This includes a $69.99 USD digital deluxe edition that features a digital version of the game, “Hero of Tsushima” skin set, a dynamic theme, digital art book, director’s commentary, and two in-game items, a physical special edition also priced at $69.99 USD that features the game, steelbook case, and all of the previous digital content, and finally a special collector’s edition costing $169.99 USD that features all previous content, a collector’s box, replica “Sakai Mask” on a stand, a “Sashimono” war banner, “Furoshiki” wrapping cloth, and a cloth map of the island of Tsushima.

World of Tanks Battle Pass Arrives with a Bang

The all new Battle Pass is brimming with exciting rewards for players – including unique Bounty Equipment! 

March 12th, 2020 For the first time in World of Tanks history, Battle Pass has arrived, and it is here to stay. Set to be a long-running event – the inaugural season of Battle Pass will run from March 12th to June 10th 2020, giving players the chance to enjoy exciting rewards and a gratifying addition to the World of Tanks gameplay experience. And this will not simply be a one-off – the Battle Pass will return for a number of seasons following this inaugural event!

To create a real sense of achievement for players, the Battle Pass progression system includes two challenges: Main and Elite, with Main featuring 45 stages, and Elite with 100.Once all 45 stages of the Main Progression are completed, players can jump straight into Elite Progression – getting the chance to fight for more points, bigger rewards and even an Elite Chevron that will boast their current Battle Pass stage and in-game skills to other players. 

Rewards within the World of Tanks Battle Pass include unique Bounty Equipment, with the Bounty Rammer and Bounty Gun Laying Device. Players can also earn Premium Account time, credits, customization elements and other in-game goodies.

Those who reach the 45th stage of the Main Progression will be granted exclusive 3D styles for one of the two special vehicles (the Super Conqueror or the Object 277) and a commander with enough XP to learn three extra skills/perks.

Players also have the opportunity to add to this event with the Improved pass – helping them to achieve an even bigger heap of rewards from the Main Progression or the Elite Progression pool of prizes. This can be obtained during any stage of the event.

European Destroyers event brings five powerful new ships to early access in update 0.9.2, as well as Småland destroyer, together with new Scandinavian port and other gameplay changes

March 12th, 2020 – World of Warships is making itself ready for the deployment of new, powerful Swedish destroyers, five into early access while the Småland being the first Tier X available for Free XP, with the launch of a new European Destroyers event in today’s update 0.9.2. The new ships launch together with a new port – Fjords – which is inspired by the dramatic landscapes of Scandinavia. 

The new Tier V-IX destroyers’ main feature will be their fast, long-range torpedoes, allowing them to strike the opponent from far away. The ships don’t have access to the Smoke Generator consumable, a lack which is compensated by their rather low detectability, as well as the Repair Party consumable. As Swedish destroyers, the Visby (Tier V), Västerås (Tier VI), Skåne (Tier VII), Öland (Tier VIII), Östergötland (Tier IX), represent their nation for the first time in World of Warships, with the new destroyers forming part of the European line.

Players eager to try out the new Swedish destroyers can find them in special ship’s bundles, which can be acquired by spending European tokens, a temporary resource. The tokens can be found in containers. Special missions will become available after a player has received the ships in early access, granting additional rewards such as unique ship camouflages. 

“The most remarkable feature of the new Swedish destroyers is their lightning-fast long-range torpedoes,” said Philip Molodkovets, Executive Producer for World of Warships. “Players who appreciate swift, action-packed gameplay will also find a good use for their rapid-firing guns and Repair Party consumable. And while they’re carrying out torpedo runs or engaging in close-range fighting with other destroyers, a good AA defense –with the Defensive AA Fire consumable on high tiers– will help them fend off enemy planes. The rather unusual absence of a Smoke Generator is compensated by alternative self-defence tools and pretty good concealment.”

In update 0.9.2, the thickness ​​of cruiser and battleship armour plating has also been updated, as well as the Inertia fuse for HE Shells skill. Due to changes to the penetration mechanics, cruisers can penetrate the armour of cruisers in the same tier without using the Inertia Fuse for HE Shells skill. The changes will make inter-class interaction between cruisers more logical, while the updated armour plating will make cruisers, if they are positioned wisely, more resistant to battleship salvos. 

The update will also include two Clan Brawls, and continues to improve the visuals in four maps and three ports which are being reworked to accommodate the new lightning model while taking full advantage of the latest in enhanced HDR technology.

Leaders in sports and gaming revive a partnership for the first time since 2004, with non-simulation football game experiences that will launch starting in 2021

Sydney, Australia – March 11, 2020The National Football League (NFL) and2K has announced a multi-year partnership encompassing multiple future video games. The partnership marks the return of football-themed games to 2K’s stable of notable sports titles and original IP, as well as an expansion of video game properties for the NFL. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The games will be non-simulation football game experiences. While specific game titles, developers and release dates will be announced at a later date, 2K confirmed the projects are in early development and will launch starting in calendar year 2021, during Take-Two’s fiscal year 2022.

Discover the new operators Iana and Oryx, the  reworked Oregon map, and the new Ash’s Lara Croft® Elite set in Year 5 Season 1

Sydney, Australia — March 11th, 2020 — Today, Ubisoft announced that Operation Void Edge, the first season of Year 5 of Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six® Siege, is now available for PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, Xbox One and Windows PC, including UPLAY+, Ubisoft’s subscription service for Windows PC*. Operation Void Edge brings two new Operators, Iana from the Netherlands and Oryx from Jordan, to the game. The Oregon map has been completely reworked to improve playability and aesthetics, alongside many other improvements. Finally, Ash is getting a full Lara Croft® set, based on the iconic Tomb Raider® character.

Owners of the Year 5 Pass can play with the new Operators immediately, while all other players will be able to unlock these Operators starting March 17th using Renown or R6 Credits. Additional seasonal content, including the Oregon map rework, are available for free to all players.

In Operation Void Edge, players will meet two new Operators:

  • Iana uses the Gemini Replicator, a remotely-controlled holographic copy of herself. When she deploys it, she can scout ahead with little to no consequences. It can move and produce sound like she would, but it cannot shoot, melee or use secondary gadgets. The Replicator has a time limit or can be exited at any time. The Replicator is all about fooling Iana’s opponents as well as collecting information. If the Gemini is spotted and destroyed by a Defender, it can help Iana deduce the threat’s location, but it will buy her opponents a few precious seconds to reposition.
  • Oryx’s signature move is the Remah Dash. Its speed allows him to roam efficiently and cover short distances with unprecedented swiftness and can also be used to knock down opponents. Oryx can also dash through breakable walls, creating a wide opening, though he loses health every time the Remah Dash is used for breaching. Additionally, Oryx has the unique ability to interact with broken hatches. He can climb straight through for a quick rotation, or he can hang on the edge to peek or wait for the perfect moment to go up. As long as he’s hanging, Oryx can also opt to drop down if the climb seems too dangerous.

The map reworks keep coming, and with Operation Void Edge, Oregon gets its turn. With an updated look, most areas are more open and structured. There are also new points of access and rotation. Big Tower now connects directly to Kitchen and a new area in the basement leads to the first floor. Some doors have also been removed.

Additional Operation Void Edge updates include the following:

  • Barricade debris consistency: partially breaking a barricade with a weapon or a melee hit will now create much smaller debris.
  • Attacker’s drone spawn: the drone will now always spawn on the same side of the building that the player first chose their operator to spawn from.
  • Player Hub Changes: The Play Section is getting revamped.
  • Lesion and Twitch changes: Lesion will no longer be able to see his GU Mines through obstructions, and when an opposing Operator steps on a GU, there will no longer be any initial damage. However, each tick’s damage has been increased from 4 to 6. On Twitch side, her Shock Drone will now start with three shots, but it will have a cooldown. Its firing power has also been reduced to 1 point of damage.
  • Operators price decrease: Mira and Jackal’s prices will now be 10,000 Renown or 240 R6 Credits, Lion and Finka’s go down to 15,000 Renown or 350 R6 Credits, while Mozzie and Gridlock’s costs will decrease to 20,000 Renown or 480 R6 Credits.
  • Void Edge Weapon skins: Three new seasonal weapon skins will be available this season, each with their own unique style: Saber Carbe, Clog Dance and River Scale.
  • Year 5 Pass: The Year pass includes access to six new Year 5 Operators and six new exclusive headgear and uniforms for them. Players will also get the same VIP perks as always. As a thank you gift to Year 4 Pass owners, who renew their Pass for Year 5, we also offer 600 R6 Credits, as well as 2 Legendary and 3 Epic Alpha Packs.

Finally, a new elite set has also been added for Ash: Tomb Raider. Ash will don the identity of Lara Croft, jumping headfirst into danger for the greater good. Explore every corner of every map with Ash’s Lara Croft uniform, headgear, victory animation, gadget and weapon skins.

LAHAINA, HAWAII, 11 March 2020 — Outta Our Shells, a new family-friendly ice-breaker card game from “ToeJam & Earl” co-creator and designer, and creator of the Disney Channel show, “Choo Choo Soul with Genevieve”, Greg Johnson, launches later this year.

Ever been at home with family and wished there was a way to help everyone connect? Or attended a party, surrounded by new people, unsure of how to start a conversation? Or perhaps had friends over for dinner, where a few spoke while others sat quietly, left out? Everyone hopes for relaxed, enjoyable conversations, but often have to awkwardly stumble into them. Johnson used to find himself in situations like this, and his game designer brain came up with a solution.

Designed to help friends and family connect, Outta Our Shells encourages players to reveal interesting things about themselves, and include everyone in the conversation. Play with as few as two players (great for dates!) or as many as can fit in the room.   

Begin by drawing three Fortune cards. Whether Good or Bad, these hilarious Fortunes form the heart of Outta Our Shells. Question Cards provide prompts to get each player talking. Cat or Rat cards help everyone learn other players’ preferences. Earn points through forming deeper understandings with someone, which can then be traded in for a new Fortune. Play can happen for any length of time, and players try to end with three Fortune Cards that they are happy with.

The true magic comes from the specific charm and warm humor of the cards. Fortune cards easily inspire laughter, gentle teasing, and discussions about future plans. Question cards invite curiosity and can help make introverts into magnificent storytellers. Cat and Rat cards ignite lively debate as players argue and explain their preferences. Often players will get off track and forget about the game completely and start chatting…which just means the game is working.

In Warzone’s Battle Royale mode, drop into the massive Verdansk world with 150 players in teams of three to loot and fight to be the last squad standing in a colossal firefight. In this redefined Battle Royale, players of all skill levels and playstyles will find new ways to play and be rewarded in the survival game mode.

  • Players can collect in-match Cash to purchase equipment, Field Upgrades, Killstreaks or Revive Tokens for fallen teammates at Buy Stations located throughout the map to help turn the tide of war.
  • Squads can choose to take on Contracts, optional in-match mini-missions located throughout the map that payout in epic in-match rewards upon completion, including rare loot, in-match Cash, XP, and Weapon XP to help squads get the upper hand on the competition.
  • If you go down in a match, it doesn’t mean you’re out for the count. In Warzone’s Battle Royale, there are different ways players can earn their way back into the fight:
  • The Gulag is an all-new way to earn a second chance at survival in Battle Royale. Upon being eliminated, players will be taken to the Gulag to face-off against another fallen player in a 1v1 winner-takes-all gunfight, for a chance to redeploy back into the match.
  • In addition, players can earn enough in-match Cash to purchase a Self-Revive Kit in order to heal themselves after being downed by an opponent.
  • Players can also bring back fallen teammates by earning enough in-match Cash to purchase a Squad Buyback at Buy Stations scattered throughout the map.

Warzone also features the all-new, large-scale combat mode Plunder, where the freedom and gameplay variety of Battle Royale meets fast-paced Call of Duty action.

  • In Plunder, teams drop into an action-packed race to collect as much in-match Cash as possible by raiding Supply Boxes, eliminating opponents, completing Contracts or by controlling key Cash deposit locations throughout the map.
  • Each player gets unlimited respawns, their own loadout, killstreaks and more, as they employ multiple team strategies to grow and safeguard their collection of in-match Cash.
  • There are a variety of ways to achieve victory, creating nearly endless epic moments and creative possibilities to win this battleground heist.

Call of Duty: Warzone supports crossplay and features unified progression across Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. For players that already own the full version of Modern Warfare, all content already earned including Battle Pass items, Operators, weapons and customization items will carry over to Warzone, and all progression earned in Warzone will count towards overall Modern Warfare progression. For players who do not own the full version of Modern Warfare, all progress and items they’ve earned in Warzone will be rewarded in Modern Warfare, should they ever choose to purchase it.

In addition, Warzone shares the same Item Shop and Battle Pass System as Modern Warfare which includes a new Operator, Weapons, Weapon Blueprints, Operator Skins, XP Tokens, and much more. The Battle Pass system allows players to unlock two free new functional weapons, up to 300 COD points, calling cards and more just by playing. Those who want to bring their game to a whole new level can purchase the Season Two Battle Pass for 1,000 Call of Duty Points for access to unlock up to 100 tiers of new content, including an instant unlock for iconic Special Forces Operator, Lieutenant Simon “Ghost” Riley.

The Call of Duty Endowment (C.O.D.E.) Defender Pack is also back in the Call of Duty Store for a limited time and includes eleven in-game digital items including the Defender Pistol cosmetic weapon variant, a weapon camo and a watch. 100% of Activision’s net proceeds received from the Pack go directly to the Call of Duty Endowment, a non-profit organization that helps veterans in the US and UK find high quality civilian jobs.

New Dungeons and Events Live in Today’s ‘Kaia’s Anvil’ Update for TERA on PC

En Masse Entertainment Starts Four Weeks of Events for Dungeon Runners with Powerful Rewards

SEATTLE, March 10, 2020 — En Masse Entertainment, a player-driven publisher focused on delivering great games and great service, has released ‘Kaia’s Anvil’, the latest content update for their True Action Combat MMORPG on PC, TERA. Live now, the update adds new and improved dungeons, new mythic rarity gear, updates to the Adventure Coin system used to gain entry to dungeons, and a four-week dungeon play event rewarding participants with unique items and TERA Rewards credits to spend in the TERA Rewards Emporium.

Kaia the Shieldmaiden, goddess, all-around badass, and hero of the Divine Wars, has linked her fate to that of the mortal races. In order to protect them—and herself—she has requested help in investigating troubling reports from the high-flying Exodor Archipelago about dangers threatening the world below. In the new Corrupted Skynest 5-player dungeon, players battle through dangerous enemies to acquire a piece of the dead god Sikander’s soul from the resurrected Kelsaik and transform their equipment into more powerful, “mythic” gear. Players can also challenge themselves in the Forbidden Arena, a new 5-player dungeon locked away behind a rediscovered teleportal. Dating from the time of the Divine Wars, it contains a powerful foe just as deadly as when it was first created thousands of years ago.

With new dungeons to tackle and powerful new gear to earn, En Masse Entertainment has not only increased the daily caps on Adventure Coins used to access dungeons, but starting today they’re also running a four-week-long dungeon play event, ending on Tuesday, April 7. Players must complete 28 runs in each of four different dungeons over 28 days, and while successfully completing a challenge provides players with a host of rewards, completing all four dungeon challenges unlocks a free Darkan’s Verdant Wings item!
