An otherworldly tale of mystery and self-discovery set in the 1930s, Call of the Sea is a love letter to the adventure game genre that follows one woman’s desperate search for her missing husband in the isolated reaches of the South Pacific. On an uncharted island paradise, you’ll discover the remnants of a lost civilization and unlock puzzles and secrets to reveal the fate of your husband’s ill-fated expedition. Disintegration is a sci-fi, first-person shooter that blends real-time tactical elements to create an entirely new experience. Set in a world ripped apart by famine, scarce resources, and the planet on the brink of destruction, humanity has developed a process to survive its harsh reality known as Integration, in which a human brain is transferred to a robotic armature. From the ensuing chaos, an aggressive, militaristic legion, known as the Rayonne, gain control and begins to impose the once optional process of Integration onto the rest of humanity to consolidate their power. 

Players command Romer Shoal, an incredibly-skilled Gravcycle pilot, who leads a small band of outlaws to fight back against an overwhelming Rayonne force. Elite Dangerous’ Fleet Carriers Beta 2 Opens its Hangars on 11 May

Sign up for Beta 2 is now open for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 players

Cambridge, UK – 7 May 2020. Frontier Developments plc (AIM: FDEV) today announced the date for Elite Dangerous Fleet Carriers Beta 2. Commencing on 11 May, this multiplatform Beta will allow PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 players to test the mighty Fleet Carriers megaships before their official release in June. Registration for Beta 2 is now open at  https://user.frontierstore.net/fleet-carrier-beta-key, and all Elite Dangerous players are welcome.

Fleet Carriers Beta 2 will incorporate significant changes from the initial Beta held in April, with the majority of adjustments focused around the decommissioning, performance and utility of Fleet Carriers, these changes are the direct result of feedback obtained from the dedicated Elite Dangerous community during Beta 1.

The main changes introduced in the Beta 2 are:

  • Universal Cartographics will be available as an optional service on Fleet Carriers.
  • Fleet Carrier owners will have access to shipyard and outfitting for stored items on their carrier, without enabling the full service.
  • Reduced the amount of Tritium, the special fuel that powers up the Fleet Carriers’ jump drive, consumed with each jump by around half.
  • Decommissioning a carrier will now refund the full cost of a carrier, minus a static fee for voluntary decommissioning.

From 22 May, Beta 2 will enter a “beta blowout” period and Fleet Carriers will be purchasable for the token price of 1 million credits (a reduction of more than 99%), to simulate the mass adoption of fleet carriers and to also ensure they are accessible to the majority of players who join the Beta. This will remain in place until the close of the Beta on 26 May.
