Team17 to Publish Honey, I Joined a Cult

Sole Survivor Games announced they have partnered with Team17 (The Survivalists) to publish the resource management strategy game Honey, I Joined a Cult for the PC. Max Everingham, Head of Publishing, at Team17 cited the game’s sense humour and intriguing concept as the motivation to partner with Sole Survivor Games.

Honey, I Joined a Cult is set in the 1970s. The time period fostered some of history’s most notorious cults, such as the Manson Family and the People’s Temple. In the game, players will start their own cult by recruiting cultists. The cultists will need to be kept happy by building their very own cult compound that will meet their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. A variety of missions will be available to gain more resources and satisfy your cult leader’s growing ego, but players will constantly be on guard for journalists, government regimes, and rival cults who would love to see their cult shut down.

No word yet on the price or release date for Honey, I Joined a Cult.

Seattle, Washington – May 21st, 2020 – Tribetoy and Beep Games, Inc. have revealed that their old timey arcade shooter based on early 20th-century parlour game cabinets, Bartlow’s Dread Machine, will debut on Steam Early Access this July, with a full comercial launch on Xbox One and Windows, in Fall 2020.

Set entirely within the confines of this titular relic from the dawn of the Electric Age, Bartlow’s Dread Machine casts one to two players as government agents in a series of escapades through New York, San Francisco, and the Great Plains as they seek to rescue the kidnapped President Roosevelt from the forces of evil. But beware, sinister forces are at work! 

Bound to the clockwork gizmos running this contraption, agents are mere metal figurines, confined to a rail system that limits movement in an old-fashioned, tactile way. Think Pac-Man if he were made of metal, wore a cool peacoat, and was packing some serious heat! Sets made of wood and tin unfold around you in real-time as you navigate this immersive puppet show.

Bartlow’s Dread Machine features a wealth of content with 6 worlds, 8 characters to unlock, 52 guns, and all manner of outfits to deck your gumshoe out in. The whole game can be played in single-player or co-op. Encounter a cast of improbable monsters and historical characters as you traverse the high seas and beyond using trains, ships and even a newfangled automobile!

On the weekend where it was initially scheduled in the F1 calendar, the hot lap, recorded by the F1 2020 development team, features Pierre Gasly’s newly re-branded AlphaTauri. Considered one of the most challenging circuits in the F1 calendar, navigating Monaco’s tight street circuit takes immense skill and courage with little chance to take your foot off the gas from start to finish. F1 2020’s iteration is no different, with a full track visual uplift now complete following the updates in F1 2019.

This Sunday, May 24, F1 drivers including Charles Leclerc, Alex Albon, George Russell, Nicholas Latifi, and Antonio Giovinazzi return for the latest Virtual Grand Prix on F1 2019’s Circuit de Monaco. The live broadcast starts at 10:00 AM Pacific Time on the official Formula 1 YouTube, Twitch, Weibo, and Facebook channels alongside several international broadcast partners.

F1 2020 will be released on Friday, July 10, 2020 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Xbox One X, PC, and Google Stadia (MSRP $59.99). Players who purchase the F1 2020 Michael Schumacher Deluxe Edition (MSRP $69.99) will receive exclusive content and three days early access.

Hong Kong – May 21st, 2020 – In a joint collaboration, independent developer and publisher eastasiasoft and online retailer Playasia, are bringing Compile Heart and Idea Factory’s sexy dungeon crawling comedy Moero Crystal H to western audiences on the Nintendo Switch. Coming to North America and Europe later this year, this will be the first time western audiences will have a chance to play the third entry in the Genkai Tokki series. Moero Crystal H will be available on the Nintendo Switch eShop as well as a boxed release exclusively through Playasia, where both the standard and collector’s limited edition will be available for pre-order on May 28th.

Moero Crystal H is a dungeon-crawling RPG telling the tale of Zenox the “Lucky Pervert”, who must partner with a troupe of monster girls to reclaim the stolen Bra of Darkness, an object of great power needed to save the world. Equipped with the “Panties of Light” to guide them, our heroes embark on their mythical quest. 

The original Moero Crystal was a 2015 PlayStation Vita game, but it never saw a release outside of Asia. World of Warships and World of Warships: Legends today announced their first-ever simultaneous collaboration with Games Workshop that will bring the grim darkness of the far future to the popular naval combat franchise. The update will feature new content such as themed ship skins, commanders, camouflages and more; all based on the popular Warhammer 40,000 universe.

Two of the biggest factions in the Warhammer 40,000 universe, the Imperium and Chaos, will be represented through unique and dreadful ships helmed by their fearless commanders: Justinian Lyons XIII and Arthas Roqthar the Cold.

Exclusive New Skin for Magic Pass and 3 New cards Now Available!

LOS ANGELES – MAY 20, 2020 – Today, Netmarble Corp. released a new update to Magic: ManaStrike, Netmarble’s first-ever game for the Wizards of the Coast franchise Magic: The Gathering, that introduces additions including Magic Pass’ Ikoria II season, a new Magic Pass-exclusive Skin for the Planeswalker character Tezzeret, three all-new cards,  and more.

As part of Ikoria II season, a new Magic Pass exclusive skin for Blue/Black Planeswalker Tezzeret is now available. The new skin is inspired by Tezzeret the Schemer in Magic: The Gathering. Other rewards for Magic Pass Ikoria II season include: a Level Boost Voucher, a Skin selector, an Emoji and a new Player icon.

This update also includes the new card type, hybrid multicolor cards that can be used for color deck matching with one of Magic’s colors. The updated three hybrid multicolor cards are Blue/Black card Oona, Queen of the Fae, a Red/Green Regisaur Alpha card and a White/Green Good-Fortune Unicorn card. 

Other additions to Magic: ManaStrike as part of the new update include:

  • Color Strategy Tutorial – A new color strategy tutorial focusing on building decks with White, Blue, and Black cards
  • Event Mode Improvements Planeswalkers can now be purchased with a new currency that is obtained only in Event mode

Magic: ManaStrike takes the excitement of Magic: The Gathering’s vast lore in a whole new direction with a fast-paced PVP strategy game. After losing a war with the Planeswalkers, Magic: The Gathering’s most powerful villain Nicol Bolas creates a parallel universe to find the Planeswalkers’ weaknesses. Players enter a contract with Nicol Bolas to provide combat data by controlling Planeswalkers and units in his universe. Fast-paced and easy to learn, fans can experience dynamic real-time battles with anyone from around the world in three-minute matches. During battle, players will be able to summon units, cast spells, and command powerful Planeswalkers with simple tap and drag gameplay and iconic Magic: The Gathering cards re-envisioned through high-quality 3D.
