Command & Conquer Remastered Collection to Release Source Code
Today, Command & Conquer Remastered Collection lead producer Jim Vessella posted a community update on Reddit outlining the game’s commitment to the modding scene. EA will be releasing the TiberianDawn.dll and RedAlert.dll and their corresponding source code under the GPL version 3.0 license, making Command & Conquer one of the first major RTS franchises to provide their source code to users in this fashion.
EA and the C&C Community Council worked hand-in-hand to ensure compatibility with existing mod projects, and the open-source files will give aspiring modders opportunities to build custom maps, units, art and gameplay logic into the classic Command & Conquer experience. To kick off the modding scene the developers at Petroglyph created a new modded unit that players can use, which answers the question, “What would the Brotherhood of Nod do if they captured the Mammoth Tank?” The result is the Nuke Tank, a tank where the turret was replaced by a giant artillery cannon to fire tactical nukes!
The Command & Conquer Remastered Collection will be available June 5 worldwide on PC via Origin and Steam. Comprised of Command & Conquer: Tiberian Dawn, Command & Conquer: Red Alert and their three expansion packs – Covert Ops, Counterstrike and The Aftermath – the Command & Conquer Remastered Collection is a passion project between EA, some of the original Westwood Studios team members at Petroglyph, and Lemon Sky Studios.

The Endless Multiverse 2.0
The Endless Multiverse 2.0 completely reinvigorates DemonCrawl’s current endgame. Dimensional Portals no longer require you to sacrifice items or stats to proceed. Instead, they will automatically reset your inventory and stats to starting values. The Metagate will acquire a new “Portal Mod” with each dimension. These special mods will impact the difficulty of the following dimension in interesting ways.
Other Endless Multiverse Features
New stranger: Guide – Exclusive to the Metagate. He will help you whitelist certain items or stats when you enter the Dimensional Portal. Unlike most strangers, you may only pay each Guide once.
New legendary items: Memento – Found only in Endless Multiverse Item Shops, each Memento presents a mini-quests of sorts; if you can meet its conditions, you will receive a buff at the start of the next dimension. There is a Memento based around the mechanics of each Mastery.
New landmark: Vault – The Vault allows you to deposit a specific item that will persist between dimensions. You can retrieve this item from the next Vault you encounter, however you must leave another item in its place.
