LOS ANGELES – June 30, 2020 – Tonight saw LOOPS ESPORTS take home the win at the PUBG MOBILE Pro League (PMPL) Americas in an exhilarating final week, marking the end of  PMPL Season 1 of the new pro competitive layer that was introduced to the program this year. Alongside the Champions, XQ GAMING, B4 ESPORTS, CLOUD9, WILDCARD GAMING, TEAM QUESO, TEMPO STORM and PITTSBURGH KNIGHTS have all secured a spot in the West League of the upcoming PUBG MOBILE World League (PMWL) Season Zero, the special online only season which begins on July 10th.

The first Season of PMPL Americas moved to an online only format in response to COVID-19 to ensure the health and safety of the PUBG MOBILE community. The event began on June 6th and has seen twenty teams from across North and South America battle for a share of the $200,000 USD prize pool and the final eight available slots in the PMWL Season Zero.

The PUBG MOBILE Pro League (PMPL) is a new pro-level of competition, taking place across the following regions – Southeast Asia, South Asia and Americas (North and South America), allowing teams to compete for a slice of the $5 million USD prize pool on offer from the 2020 program. The program now offers one of the most robust structures in esports with a clear path to pro offering.

PUBG MOBILE World League (PMWL) Season Zero will be held from 10^th July to 9^th August. The East League will begin at 6 PM IST, and the West League will begin at 12:30 AM IST. Community members can witness the livestream at PUBG MOBILE Esports YouTube channel.

PRAGUE, Czech Republic – June 30, 2020 – Bohemia Interactive announces today the official release of update 1.08 for DayZ on all platforms which brings important fixes and exciting new elements to the game’s post-apocalyptic world.

Among other features, the update adds a new hunting rifle: the “Sporter 22”. The rifle uses .22 ammunition (added to the game via the 1.05 update last year), comes with various magazines, and has the ability to mount a hunting scope. And speaking of long-range engagements, the Sway and Hold Breath mechanics have been adjusted, which should make distance shooting a bit easier. 

New base building improvements focus on the balance-of-destruction of various structures, such as fences, watchtowers, and tent objects, including the addition of the Canopy Tent, Indoor Fireplace (oven), and Direct Cooking Slots (fireplace grill for meat). Additionally, the update comprises general gameplay tweaks, bug fixes, and UX improvements.

Finally, 1.08 will bring an updated Saint Roman Ski Resort, Biathlon shooting range, and a race track to the ChernarusPlus terrain.

Three Modding Community Maps Officially Added to Full Game Launch with More User-Generated Content Plans On The Way

LOS ANGELES, CA – JUNE 25, 2020 – Easy Day Studios announced that community created content will be available in the full launch of Skater XL on July 28. Three new maps created by Skater XL modding community members – ‘Streets’ by Jean-Olive, ‘Hűdland Training Facility’ by Pactole, and the world debut of ‘Grant Skate Park’ by Theo – will be the first Skater XL modding content available on all platforms. Each map has also been given visual enhancements by Easy Day’s art team in collaboration with the map creator.

“Since the Early Access launch of Skater XL, the modding community has grown to a humbling 84,000 members who have created thousands of amazing maps, fake skate brands and gear,” states Dain Hedgpeth, Co-founder of Easy Day Studios. “Their creativity and passion has not only inspired us, but has become an integral part of the Skater XL experience and we want to pay homage to this by including some of their work at launch. This is just the beginning of our plans to involve the community as we look towards launch and beyond.”

• ‘Grant Skate Park’ by Theo

Grant Skate Park, created by modder turned Easy Day Studios team member Theo, is one of Chicago’s premier public skateparks. The three-acre waterfront park has a variety of terrain, including street and transition features with a focus on overall flow. Revealed here for the first time, Theo’s version of this real-life skate park holds true to its layout and design, while small tweaks have been added to optimize gameplay. 

• ‘Streets’ by Jean Olive

‘Streets’ by prolific map creator Jean Olive is a mash up of street spots inspired by some of the best terrain in the skateboarding world. ‘Streets’ encompass several city blocks of skateable territory, from San Francisco-esque hills, to the unique skateable architecture of Spain. Players will recognize skate spots from Los Angeles and New York, as well as Jean Olive’s own creative designs. 

• ‘Hűdland Training Facility’ by Pactole

An original creation by Pactole, ‘Hűdland’ is every skater’s dream private skatepark. Packed full of street and transition features, Hűdland is the perfect indoor place to hone your skills before taking them to the streets. Features include flatbars, stairs, hips, handrails, quarterpipes and more. The warehouse setting and overhead skylights give the map a unique look and feel, while the overall flow of the park will keep players perfecting lines for hours.

In further support of the modding community, PC players can now find Skater XL‘s extensive catalog of community created mods at Mod.io. The new platform will allow mod creators to easily manage uploaded Skater XL mod content, and gives players quick and organized access when  searching and downloading all of the best new Skater XL community content. Full sized version of the 1980’s home computer THEVIC20 available October 2020

30 June 2020, Theale, UK – Another timeless classic is being given a new lease of life with the launch of a full-sized version of the VIC-20. Developed by Retro Games Ltd. and distributed by Koch Media, THEVIC20 is a fully licensed reimagining of the 80’s bestselling home computer.

Following its launch in 1981, the original VIC-20 home computer went on to become the first computer of any kind to sell one million units, and even now still holds a special place in the hearts of its former owners. Almost 40 years later and it’s back again!

The full sized THEVIC20 has a full working keyboard, comes with an updated micro switched classic joystick which plugs into one of the four USB ports, and connects to any modern TV via HDMI. It features three switchable modes – boot straight into original VIC-20 BASIC , C64 BASIC or switch to the Games Carousel and play one of the 64 built in games in 50Hz or 60Hz, with optional CRT Filters/Screen modes.

As well as the classic VIC-20 and C64 BASIC modes, the pre-installed 64 games include such VIC-20 and C64 classics as – Arcadia and Laser Zone (VIC-20), California Games, Paradroid and Boulder Dash (C64); plus all new additions like Metagalactic Llamas, Subspace Striker, Mega Vault and Gridrunner (VIC-20); topped off with the recently released shoot ‘em up Galencia (C64) and classic text adventure Planet of Death (C64) to let you relive the glory days of true keyboard gaming! You can even load and save your own VIC-20 and C64 games via USB flash drive as well as access multi-disc titles.

THEVIC20 variant of the THEC64 will hit the shops on October 23rd 2020 with a suggested retail price of £109.99/€119.99.

Included in the box with THEVIC20 is a 1.5m (5 foot) wired USB micro switch classic joystick (with added function keys for game specific modes), a USB charging cable and USB AC power adapter, and an HDMI cable (both 1.2m (4 foot) in length) allowing full compatibility with all modern TVs. Other features include a save game function, selectable 50Hz or 60Hz screen refresh and pixel filter options such as pixel perfect, CRT and scanline emulation. Also upload your own files, games and firmware revisions via USB flash drive.
