It feels like Watch Dogs: Legion has been a long time coming but it looks like that wait will be over soon as Ubisoft revealed during their streaming event that the game will be releasing on October 29th for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Stadia on October 29th with an eventual PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X version planned sometime in the future. Similar to the other games given release dates during the event, this one will also allow those who purchase the current-gen versions of the game to upgrade to next-gen at no extra cost.
Alongside this release date announcement Watch Dogs: Legion was also given a lengthy cinematic trailer as well as nearly eight minutes of gameplay footage and both of these videos can be found below. As for the game itself, players will find themselves in a future where London has been taken over by corrupt opportunists and it is up to the players to build a resistance to take the city back for the people.
During their big streaming event today Ubisoft announced that they will be releasing Assassin’s Creed Valhalla onto the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, and Stadia on November 17th. Surprisingly, the company appears to not have an exact release date set for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X version of the game at this time but when it is released those who purchased the last-gen versions will be able to upgrade at no extra cost.
To go along with this announcement Ubisoft also released a small overview trailer as well as a lengthy thirty minute long gameplay video showing off a little of everything that Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has to offer including a look at the raids that players can hold against Saxon troops and fortresses across England. These raids see the player leading their clan in attacks from your longship and pillage enemy territories to bring riches and resources back to your people. These resources can be used to construct and upgrade buildings that allow for deep customization, including a barracks, blacksmith, tattoo parlor, and more.

Ubisoft confirmed that those who purchase Far Cry 6 on either the PlayStation 4 or Xbox One will be able to upgrade to the next-gen version at no additional cost.

You’re welcome.

Now that the release date for the Fairy Tail game is growing ever closer, Koei Tecmo and Gust have chosen to release another new trailer for the game focusing on introducing us to some of the characters and features that will be in the game.
Although most fans of the franchise are likely quite familiar with most of the characters already, the title will feature original “Character Stories” that will take place around the world and provide some brand new scenes for longtime fans. The video can be found below while the game itself is currently set to be released on the PC, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 4 on July 30th in Europe and Japan and in North America on July 31st.
With pretty much every convention being cancelled this year due to COVID-19, there hasn’t been a lot of opportunities for fans, especially Western fans, to interact with Japanese creators so Yen Press held a virtual panel where they interviewed the creators of So I’m A Spider So What?, the author Okina Baba and illustrator Tsukasa Kiyu.
The nearly half hour long interview features questions from fans and translated answers handled by Yen Press. The interview can be found below and as for the series itself, the light novels of So I’m A Spider So What? have been published in English through volume 8 with the 9th volume releasing on August 18th. For those who want to have a bit more of a visual presentation, currently the anime adaptation for the series is set to premiere in January 2021.
All it takes is one slip-up from one branch and a major reveal can be leaked early and it looks like the latest one happens to have struck Ubisoft thanks to the PlayStation Store in Hong Kong. While the listing may be pulled down already, it has been revealed that Far Cry 6 is indeed on the way and will likely be part of Ubisoft’s “Forward Digital” showcase that was meant to occur on July 12th. The fact that Ubisoft later mentioned how a certain character referenced in the game leak would be displeased has basically confirmed this information.
Far Cry 6 is so far confirmed for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 and will be set in the tropical paradise called Yara where the dictator Anton Castillo is intent on restoring his nation back to its former glory by any means necessary while his son Diego follows in his footsteps. Players will step into the role of Dani Rojas, a local who has risen up among others to become a revolutionary to try and liberate the nation while fighting against Anton’s troops in the largest Far Cry map to date. Players will have access to makeshift weaponry, vehicles, and even “Amigos” who are the returning Fangs for Hire system from previous entries in the series.
Despite the amount of information and basic confirmation, it is worth noting that for now this leak should only be treated as such until the likely reveal on July 12th.
Those who may want to see what the Shantae series was once like many years ago will soon have a few new platforms to play it on as WayForward has announced that the 2010 Shantae: Risky’s Revenge – Director’s Cut will be coming to both the Xbox One and Nintendo Switch digitally this fall season with a limited physical release being don for the Switch version of the game through Limited Run Games.

To put a stop to her nemesis Risky Boots, Shantae will need to explore a number of unique environments, transform into creatures with unique abilities, and more.
After being pushed to the fall it looks like Bandai Namco has now nailed down perhaps the best possible release date for a horror game one can hope for that isn’t Friday the 13th for The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope. Supermassive Games has announced that the game will now be releasing on October 30th for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC with the game still featuring the same pre-order bonus “Curator’s Cut” early access that will eventually be released for all players.
The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope is the second game in The Dark Pictures Anthology. Trapped and isolated in the abandoned town of Little Hope, four college students and their professor must escape the nightmarish apparitions that relentlessly pursue them through an impenetrable fog. Check out a new trailer below.
