Wriggle your way through mind-bending mazes in groovy puzzler Worm Jazz

Expand, retract, and explode your way to victory while sporting dapper hats

Oslo, Norway – July 30th, 2020 – Inconspicuous Creations is proud to reveal that its jive puzzler about a boogie-woogie worm wriggling its way through a series of mazes, Worm Jazz, is coming to the eShop for Nintendo Switch and Steam this summer. Can you dig it?

Worm Jazz is a unique, wriggly puzzle game that combines the elongating body mechanic of  Snake with the explosion-heavy demolition of Bomberman. You take control of Mr. Mark, an earthworm with a particular fondness for smooth jazz and dapper headwear. Writhe your way through the many intricate, mind-bending mazes filled with mines, wormholes, and powerups! Shrink when you blow yourself up and expand when you scarf down some chow. Are you able to gobble up all the food on each stage and reach the highly coveted golden apple?

The game might appear simple at first glance, but you are quickly presented with some painfully perplexing puzzles. Fear not, as Worm Jazz aims to offer a challenge for every type of player.  While puzzle aficionados and completionists will want to gobble up 100% of the food on each stage, casual players can easily unlock and progress through each of the game’s 50+ hand-crafted stages without much difficulty. The open-ended overworld offers branching routes, so you can choose which challenges to tackle first. As you venture through the world, new game elements such as wormholes and boulders are introduced along with new environments. Worm Jazz can be played at your own pace. There are no timers and every move can be undone.

This laid back atmosphere is complemented by a swank soundtrack composed by jazz maestro Oliver Getz, who painstakingly put together loops of calming, upbeat tunes to chill out to. Worm Jazz can at times be a devious head scratcher for completionists, so the snazzy soundtrack offers a welcoming vibe in this labyrinth of brain busters.

The initial prototype for Worm Jazz was created for the NM i Gameplay 2020 game jam, where it took home the grand prize. “It’s certainly not a coincidence that the game was conceived at a game jam. In many ways, Worm Jazz feels a lot like a jam session,” said Inconspicuous Creations founder and sole developer Yu He. “I think it’s important that the game is instantly familiar, but at the same time be open to new elements that mix things up.” He is hopeful that this is just the beginning and that the game will have a long tail ahead of it.

Launching on the eShop for Nintendo Switch this summer Worm Jazz will be available in English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Polish, Arabic, Simplified Chinese, Japanese and Korean.

Revolutionary Mapping Technology Brings Real Deal TPC Courses to Life in PGA TOUR® 2K21

Revolutionary Mapping Technology Brings Real Deal TPC Courses to Life in PGA TOUR® 2K21

2K has revealed details behind the state-of-the-art mapping technology and process used to bring Tournament Players Club (TPC) courses to life in PGA TOUR® 2K21. The futuristic Course Mapping process provides incredibly realistic and accurate course environments in-game, and the tech is on full display in a new trailer featuring TPC course East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta.

Each course takes several months for the golf-fanatic developers at HB Studios to build, and it starts by partnering with Terra Imaging to capture and process detailed aerial drone footage of each one. The drones capture nearly every real-life detail of these intricate courses, down to one centimetre of accuracy, and then convert the data to 3D images for HB Studios developers to recreate in- game. This process ensures that players feel every break in the green and elevated tee box that PGA TOUR professionals face in real tournaments.

“Our goal is to make the PGA TOUR 2K21 in-game TPC course recreations as detailed as possible, so it feels like you’re actually playing the course alongside top PGA TOUR pros,” said Shaun West, senior producer at HB Studios. “To see professionals play these courses on TV, and then watch each come to life as playable courses within the game, is an incredibly cool process to see. We’re excited for our fans to be able to experience it as well.”

The 15 PGA TOUR 2K21 in-game, licensed TPC courses include:

  • Atlantic Beach Country Club;
  • Copperhead Course;
  • East Lake Golf Club;
  • Quail Hollow Club;
  • Riviera Country Club;
  • TPC Boston;
  • TPC Deere Run;
  • TPC Louisiana;
  • TPC River Highlands;
  • TPC San Antonio;
  • TPC Sawgrass;
  • TPC Scottsdale;
  • TPC Southwind;
  • TPC Summerlin;
  • TPC Twin Cities.

For more information, visit www.PGATOUR2K21.com, become a fan on Facebook, follow the game on Twitter and Instagram using the hashtag #PGATOUR2K21 or subscribe on YouTube.

PGA TOUR 2K21 is developed by HB Studios for 2K. 2K is a wholly owned publishing label of Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. (NASDAQ: TTWO).

About the Rainbow Six Esports global program

Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege’s Esports includes 4 main regions, Europe, North America, Latin America and Asia-Pacific. All four regions run in parallel their own dedicated regional leagues, all feeding into one unique and global race towards a qualification for the Six Invitational, the pinnacle of the Rainbow Six Siege competitive year. Each regional league ties into a coherent global program, one unique race towards a qualification for the Six Invitational. As teams across the four regions face off in regional and global competitions, featuring 3 Majors and regional leagues, they will be ranked based on a new and in-depth point system that rewards sustained performance. Each competitive Season runs for nearly a year, from March through the following February. Each Season will be divided into 4 quarters. The first three quarters correspond to the 3 “Stages” of the regional leagues and conclude with a Six Major bringing together 16 of the world’s best teams – four per region across the four regions. Each stage awards prize money and points for the Global Standings. The Global Standings determine the sixteen teams earning a spot to the annual Six Invitational. Following the 3 stages, the last quarter of the season will be dedicated to regional finals and relegations. The season will then conclude with the Six Invitational that will crown the world’s best team. Four additional teams will also have a chance to qualify for the Six Invitational through Regional Open Qualifiers, making the Six invitational a 20-team competition. A notable exception to the global structure will be the first Season of 2020. As the transition and sunset of the legacy Pro League program, this year will shorten the program to only 2 stages with two Six Majors this year.

Tankfest 2020 Raises over €62,000 for The Tank Museum

Tankfest 2020 Raises over €62,000 for The Tank Museum

With the support of World of Tanks, Tankfest saw over 1m total views, and 34.4k concurrent viewers in the first live-streamed historic tank event ever

Between June 26 and June 28, Tankfest came to audiences in a whole new format – as an exciting virtual event. As the first event of its kind, and World of Tanks as partner and co-host, World of Tanks was able to raise €62.1k to support the future of The Tank Museum.

World of Tanks was also proud to be able to leverage on its technical and publishing experience to bring Tankfest to over 1 million viewers, with over 34.4k concurrent viewers at any one time, which are nearly 10.000 more people watching than on the real Tankfest shows before the lockdown, with 25.000 people enjoying the impressive show of tanks from the past and present.

The ground-breaking virtual event saw exciting tank showdowns, as well as the famed Arena Show – recreated via livestream and showcasing The Tank Museums’ tanks in action.

For The Tank Museum and World of Tanks, Tankfest was not just an opportunity to deliver a new type of entertainment to their fans, but a chance to raise funds that would allow The Tank Museum to continue to bring a world-beating historical showcase to tank fans from around the world. With over 10k Tankfest Charity Packages, 4k virtual Tiger 131s and 6k Tankfest camouflages sold – audiences outdid themselves to support the museum.

Director of The Tank Museum Richard Smith said: “The Tank Museum has only just re-opened after three months of enforced closure. The Covid-19 pandemic has hit us hard – particularly as we were forced to cancel our annual Tankfest, which is the important fundraising event in our calendar. We are hugely grateful to World of Tanks, who have sponsored Tankfest since 2014, for helping us realise our ambition to turn Tankfest into a virtual event and to The Word of Tanks players for raising such a spectacular figure to help keep The Tank Museum going in these difficult times.”

Kresimir Gusak, Senior Product Manager for World of Tanks adds: “This event will be long to be remembered, especially as numerous prestigious Museums from all over the world supported its action and good cause despite the current pandemic conditions with footage and best wishes from Arsenalen the Swedish Tank Museum, Musée des Blindés in France, The War Heritage Institute in Belgium, The Canadian War Museum, The U.S. Army Armour & Cavalry Collection, The Dutch National Military Museum in partnership with the Historic Collection of the Royal Netherlands Army and The Museum of Military History from Vienna!”

About The Tank Museum

The Tank Museum (Bovington, UK) brings the story of tanks and their crews to life, with what is arguably the world’s finest collection of tanks displayed in awe-inspiring, modern exhibitions.

The museum houses some 300 tanks, representing the key battles of every major conflict since the First World War. Our moving exhibitions tell the story of this British invention; from the mud of the Somme, to the beaches of Normandy and the deserts of Iraq – featuring powerful stories from the soldiers that fought in them.

Highlights include the immersive Trench Experience and The Tank Story Hall – featuring key exhibits such as the first ever tank, the modern Challenger 2 and the notorious Tiger tank. New for 2020 is a major Second World War exhibition; “World War Two: War Stories”.

The Tank Museum is a registered charity and the museum of The Royal Tank Regiment and The Royal Armoured Corps.
