The Second Season of Journey Begins in GWENT!

CD PROJEKT RED announces that Journey is back for a second season in GWENT: The Witcher Card Game. Players can begin levelling up once more and earning brand new rewards for free right now on iOS, Android, and PC.

Journey is GWENT’s new progression system which rewards players as they level up by earning victories in the game’s Standard, Seasonal and Arena mode matches. Yogscast Games and developers Foggy Box Games bring their hit food-themed party game to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One this Summer

Bristol, UK – 5 August 2020. Yogscast Games and developers Foggy Box Games today announced their mealtime co-op party game Brunch Club will launch for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on 11 August 2020.

Brunch Club tasks players with working together to play a specific role on the dinner table as they all come together to make fry ups, BBQ feasts and snacks. Except these mealtimes contain unique hazards that will keep players on their toes. Whether avoiding sniper fire in Fry Hard or waiting for the ever-changing seasons in Game of Cones, each level will force family and friends to be on their toes to achieve the quickest time to place on the global leaderboards.

World of Tanks’ Newest Update Is the Biggest of the Year

Update 1.10 brings a new equipment system, Polish medium reinforcements and the return of a fan-favourite map to the game

August marks the 10th anniversary of World of Tanks so it’s only fitting that this month’s update is a cause for celebration: it’s the biggest one of the year. Update 1.10 will introduce a new system for equipment and 6 new Polish medium tanks, while also marking the return of Pearl River.

Allowing players to increase their vehicles’ characteristics and performance when installed, equipment in World of Tanks is being completely overhauled with the introduction of new pieces and revised bonuses for existing ones in Update 1.10. By changing the core mechanics, players will now have more freedom and choice when it comes to their loadouts. Additionally, the new pieces will diversify the gameplay, while also leading the way for new and non-standard battle tactics. And for lower and medium tier vehicles, equipment has become more accessible as the credit (World of Tanks’ earnable currency) price has been decreased.

“1.10 is the biggest World of Tanks update since 1.0 released in 2018,” states Max Chuvalov, Publishing Director, World of Tanks. “The biggest part of it is the new equipment system. The current iteration has been in the game for 10 years now and was definitely in need of a revamp. Players will now be able to experiment a lot more with their loadouts thanks to the new and improved equipment items.”

Additionally, this new system brings with it a brand-new feature: slot specialisations. Each vehicle from Tier VI onwards will have one of these slots and all equipment will now be designated one of four categories: firepower, survivability, mobility and scouting. By placing certain pieces of equipment in this slot, tankers will get an extra bonus on top of the piece’s standard one.

August’s update will also see the introduction of 6 new Polish medium tanks. Researchable from the Tier IV 14TP, the new branch will stretch from Tier V to Tier X. These winged hussars are versatile with good gun depression, mobility and maneuverability. They’re able to battle on any terrain and are suited for close-to-mid-range combat. At the top of the line is the CS-63 which introduces a brand-new feature: a gas-turbine engine. Boasting both standard and rapid mode, the latter will increase the vehicle’s engine power, as well as its top speed and acceleration. However, when this mode is activated, its accuracy is significantly impacted.

Update 1.10 also features the return of Pearl River. Making its first foray into World of Tanks in HD, the Asian-inspired map has received a significant revamp since it was last seen in 2015. And finally, the in-game battle communication system has been made simpler and more informative, so tankers can concentrate more on the battle.

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA – AUGUST 4th 2020 – Today, Ubisoft® announced a new limited-time event for Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six® Siege Year 5 Season 2: M.U.T.E. Protocol. This event brings a fresh new take on the Secure Area game mode, based in a futuristic version of the map ‘Tower’.

This event will last two weeks, from August 5th until August 17th . In this futuristic sci-fi inspired 5-vs.-5 mode, attackers are flying in and trying to shutdown M.U.T.E Protocol by any means necessary, while defenders hold up in Comm Tower, defending it at all cost. 41 Operators will be available to play, with a few exceptions for gameplay reasons: Twitch, Thatcher, Mozzie, Mute, Maestro, Valkyrie, Dokkaebi, Echo, Goyo, Clash, Montagne, Blitz and Caveira won’t be available.

Even for players who are used to playing Secure Area, M.U.T.E. Protocol’s new game mode is unique, as it is based on a brand-new feature: Morphing. On the attacking side, players will have to secure two areas, and will be able to switch between Operator and Drone forms by entering and exiting Observation Tools. On the defending side, Operators will be able to use bulletproof cameras to travel digitally through the network.

The M.U.T.E. Protocol event comes with its own Collection of 26 items, featuring exclusive customisations for Jackal, Lion, Ying, Kapkan, Mira, Mute, Oryx and Vigil. Players can earn M.U.T.E Protocol packs through a special Event Challenge, purchase packs for 300 R6 Credits or 12500 Renown each in the Packs section of the Home screen.  Inside the packs, players will also find signature items, including the event’s signature weapon skin, exclusive to this Collection. New updates and online tournaments for TEKKEN 7 and SOULCALIBUR VI were announced this past Friday during the historic Japanese Fighting Game Publishers Roundtable event.

The TEKKEN Online Challenge will begin with a pre-event tournament open to US West residents on August 15th, and a series of exhibition matches on August 16th. Following the pre-event will be 10 regional open tournament and exhibition weekend events starting on September 12th and running through the rest of the year.

Wargaming and Hasbro, Inc. have announced today that Transformers will be coming to popular naval combat games World of Warships on PC and World of Warships: Legends on consolesfor a limited time thanks to this exciting new collaboration. Autobots and Decepticons will be introduced as themed ship skins and commanders in a much-anticipated update planned for this September. 

Four iconic Transformers characters will be released initially as unique ship skins and commanders with recognisable phrases and voiceovers. Optimus Prime and Bumblebee will set the stage for the Autobots, with Megatron and Rumble to be available as their eternal foes – the Decepticons.

Marvel’s Avengers Will Lock Spider-Man to PlayStation Consoles in 2021

In what has become an unfortunately common practice from Sony and third-party developers, it has been announced that Spider-Man will be a PlayStation exclusive character when he is released in Marvel’s Avengers sometime in early 2021. The character, which was not shown off in any form, will “debut with an in-game event that will introduce him to the wider world of Marvel’s Avengers.”

The announcement has emphasized that it will be “Crystal Dynamics’ take on Spider-Man” meaning things may not be quite the same as most fans expect but the character will feature a number of costumes, a unique move-set, and a special upgrade tree. Currently Square Enix‘s Marvel’s Avengers is set to be released on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, and Stadia on September 4th with the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 versions coming sometime this holiday season.

Guilty Gear: Strive Releasing in Spring 2021 for PS5, PS4, and PC

Arc System Works has narrowed down their release window for Guilty Gear: Strive as well as given us a few extra platforms to expect the fighting game on in their latest announcement. The company has announced that the game will be releasing sometime in spring 2021 for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC. Alongside this announcement the company also revealed two more playable characters that will be added to the game’s roster in the form of Leo Whitefang and Nagoriyuki.

Leo is one of the three “Allied Kings” of the Allied Kingdom of Illyria, and is responsible for the governing of Europe, the Middle East, and Oceania. He is also an accomplished warrior in his own right, with a relentless fighting style. As for Nagoriyuki, he is the newest addition to the Guilty Gear universe. A vampire with a number of unique and powerful abilities, he wields a huge sword with impressive skill in battle and slashes at his enemies with punishing blows.
