About the Rainbow Six Esports global program

Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege’s Esports includes 4 main regions, Europe, North America, Latin America and Asia-Pacific. All four regions run in parallel their own dedicated regional leagues, all feeding into one unique and global race towards a qualification for the Six Invitational, the pinnacle of the Rainbow Six Siege competitive year. Each regional league ties into a coherent global program, one unique race towards a qualification for the Six Invitational. As teams across the four regions face off in regional and global competitions, featuring 3 Majors and regional leagues, they will be ranked based on a new and in-depth point system that rewards sustained performance. Each competitive Season runs for nearly a year, from March through the following February. Each Season will be divided into 4 quarters. The first three quarters correspond to the 3 “Stages” of the regional leagues and conclude with a Six Major bringing together 16 of the world’s best teams – four per region across the four regions. Each stage awards prize money and points for the Global Standings. The Global Standings determine the sixteen teams earning a spot to the annual Six Invitational. Following the 3 stages, the last quarter of the season will be dedicated to regional finals and relegations. The season will then conclude with the Six Invitational that will crown the world’s best team. Four additional teams will also have a chance to qualify for the Six Invitational through Regional Open Qualifiers, making the Six invitational a 20-team competition. A notable exception to the global structure will be the first Season of 2020. As the transition and sunset of the legacy Pro League program, this year will shorten the program to only 2 stages with two Six Majors this year.

All three titles are currently in early development, and do not currently have set release dates. The first of these titles is not expected to launch until Take-Two’s fiscal year 2022.

Tankfest 2020 Raises over €62,000 for The Tank Museum

Tankfest 2020 Raises over €62,000 for The Tank Museum

With the support of World of Tanks, Tankfest saw over 1m total views, and 34.4k concurrent viewers in the first live-streamed historic tank event ever

Between June 26 and June 28, Tankfest came to audiences in a whole new format – as an exciting virtual event. As the first event of its kind, and World of Tanks as partner and co-host, World of Tanks was able to raise €62.1k to support the future of The Tank Museum.

World of Tanks was also proud to be able to leverage on its technical and publishing experience to bring Tankfest to over 1 million viewers, with over 34.4k concurrent viewers at any one time, which are nearly 10.000 more people watching than on the real Tankfest shows before the lockdown, with 25.000 people enjoying the impressive show of tanks from the past and present.

The ground-breaking virtual event saw exciting tank showdowns, as well as the famed Arena Show – recreated via livestream and showcasing The Tank Museums’ tanks in action.

For The Tank Museum and World of Tanks, Tankfest was not just an opportunity to deliver a new type of entertainment to their fans, but a chance to raise funds that would allow The Tank Museum to continue to bring a world-beating historical showcase to tank fans from around the world. With over 10k Tankfest Charity Packages, 4k virtual Tiger 131s and 6k Tankfest camouflages sold – audiences outdid themselves to support the museum.

Director of The Tank Museum Richard Smith said: “The Tank Museum has only just re-opened after three months of enforced closure. The Covid-19 pandemic has hit us hard – particularly as we were forced to cancel our annual Tankfest, which is the important fundraising event in our calendar. We are hugely grateful to World of Tanks, who have sponsored Tankfest since 2014, for helping us realise our ambition to turn Tankfest into a virtual event and to The Word of Tanks players for raising such a spectacular figure to help keep The Tank Museum going in these difficult times.”

Kresimir Gusak, Senior Product Manager for World of Tanks adds: “This event will be long to be remembered, especially as numerous prestigious Museums from all over the world supported its action and good cause despite the current pandemic conditions with footage and best wishes from Arsenalen the Swedish Tank Museum, Musée des Blindés in France, The War Heritage Institute in Belgium, The Canadian War Museum, The U.S. Army Armour & Cavalry Collection, The Dutch National Military Museum in partnership with the Historic Collection of the Royal Netherlands Army and The Museum of Military History from Vienna!”

SECOND MARVEL’S AVENGERS WAR TABLE REVEALS DETAILS ABOUT UPCOMING BETA, HAWKEYE, AND FORTNITE® CROSS-PROMOTION

SECOND MARVEL’S AVENGERS WAR TABLE REVEALS DETAILS ABOUT UPCOMING BETA, HAWKEYE, AND FORTNITE® CROSS-PROMOTION

SYDNEY, 30th July 2020 – Today, SQUARE ENIX® released the second Marvel’s Avengers WAR TABLE digital stream, providing an in-depth look at the game’s upcoming beta program, which begins on August 7.

Viewers who watched the Marvel’s Avengers WAR TABLE live via the PlayAvengers.com channel were the first to get all the amazing details about the wide array of content that will be available in the beta, including several single-player missions, as well as a large selection of additional missions that can be played solo with your AI Avengers team or co-op with up to four players. In one mission, players take on the role of young Super Hero Kamala Khan and team up with Hulk as they infiltrate an AIM base in the forests of the American Pacific Northwest, hot on the trail of the last known location of JARVIS. Later they take the Quinjet to a remote War Zone in the frozen Russian tundra to uncover SHIELD secrets hidden in a deep underground bunker.

The Marvel’s Avengers beta will provide players with a comprehensive hands-on experience of the game ahead of its worldwide launch on September 4.

“We really want to give fans an in-depth look at what they can expect when they get their hands on the beta starting on August 7th,” said Scot Amos, Co-Head of Crystal Dynamics. “I couldn’t be more proud of the work the team has done getting Marvel’s Avengers ready for players, and can’t wait to see their reactions.”

During the Marvel’s Avengers WAR TABLE stream, it was also revealed that PlayStation®4 and Xbox One players who link their Square Enix Members and Epic Games accounts and complete the beta’s three HARM-room challenges will earn the Hulk Smashers Pickaxe with bonus Hulkbuster style in Epic Games’ free-to-play game, Fortnite*.

Spoiler Alert! The Marvel’s Avengers WAR TABLE gave a sneak peek at one of the first heroes that will be added to the game after launch at no additional cost: Clint Barton’s Hawkeye. In a completely original story-arc inspired by some of the best-known Hawkeye moments in the comics, players wield Hawkeye’s iconic high-tech bow and trick arrows in missions either solo or co-op online with friends. Hawkeye’s story will continue to move the entire Marvel’s Avengers narrative world forward, and all new missions are accessible with the entire roster of playable heroes. More information about this and additional post-launch content, including the new villain and other content debuting with Hawkeye’s story, will be available soon.

The first Marvel’s Avengers WAR TABLE digital stream debuted on June 24 and included a reveal of new Thor gameplay, details on the game’s central villain, MODOK (Mental Organism Designed Only for Killing), and brand-new information about War Zones, the game’s team-based missions, including their structure and how the Avengers become even more powerful when working together within the game’s Avengers Initiative.

ABOUT MARVEL’S AVENGERS

Marvel’s Avengers offers players a truly rich experience, with a combination of Hero Missions and War Zones. Hero Missions are single-player only and are part of the initial Campaign. They are designed to showcase each hero’s unique abilities as you reassemble your growing roster. War Zones can be played solo or with a group of up to four players** as any Hero in your roster. Each mission dynamically scales based on the team size and player level.

Players in Marvel’s Avengers are also able to customize Earth’s Mightiest Heroes in a number of ways. While each Super Hero plays true to their unique power sets, each has the flexibility to play differently based on the gear you equip them with and the skills you enable, so no two player’s heroes plays in exactly the same way. Each hero has dynamic combo systems, Heroic moves, an intrinsic ability, and signature move sets to unlock and customize – many inspired by classic moves from the 80 years of Marvel history in all media, others crafted as originals just for this game.

Players also customize these iconic Super Heroes with classic, fan-favourite, and all-new original outfits inspired by over 80-years of Marvel history, including Iron Man’s suit from the 2014 Original Sin storyline, or Thor’s Donald Blake identity, which is a nod to an alias of Thor’s who first appeared in 1962’s Journey into Mystery issue 83.

Marvel’s Avengers is an ambitious game, starting with a global high-stakes race to reassemble and rebuild the Avengers. But that’s just the beginning. To ensure a continuing heroic experience for all players, the narrative of Marvel’s Avengers expands, and threats escalate with each new post-release Super Hero, region and story arc delivered to players at no additional cost once they own the core game.

Marvel’s Avengers will release simultaneously for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Stadia, and PC on September 4, 2020. Marvel’s Avengers will be available on PlayStation®5 and Xbox Series X when the consoles launch in Holiday 2020. Players who own the current-gen version of the game will be able to upgrade to the next-gen version at no additional cost, regardless if players are moving from PlayStation® 4 to PlayStation 5 or Xbox One to Xbox Series X. Those moving their saves to next-gen will transfer their player profiles and progression so they can pick up right where they left off. In addition, cross-gen play will be supported so PS5™ players will be able to play with their friends on PS4™ and Xbox Series X players will be connected with their friends on Xbox One.

*Offer only available on PlayStation 4 & Xbox One. Additional terms apply. For more details visit fortnite.com.

**Internet connection required. Your platform’s online multiplayer requirements will apply.

A Rock Opera FPS Roguelike with Relentless Rhythm – ‘BPM: Bullets Per Minute’ Confirms it’s Bound for PC this September

Beats and Bullets Aplenty on Offer in this Retro-Inspired Rhythm FPS

Derby, UK – Wednesday 29th July, 2020 – A fast, frenetic shooter with a rhythm that just won’t quit, BPM: Bullets Per Minute turned heads when developer Awe Interactive lifted the lid on its first project back in the Spring. Now the studio can reveal its finely-tuned rhythm FPS will bring its bang-bang-to-the-beats action to Steam for PC on Tuesday 15th September.

BPM: Bullets Per Minute brings the kind of gameplay you’d expect from a dungeon-based shooter to the table, but encases it in a world where every action – every shot, every jump, and every dodge – is pulled off to the beat of an epic rock soundtrack.

The game serves up randomly generated dungeons infested with brilliantly preposterous monsters and tasks players with taking on the role of the mighty Valkyrie. The goal? Take out each and every boss to the beat, and look pretty darn cool while doing so.

“There’s no doubt we were inspired by the retro shooters from when we were growing up when putting BPM: Bullets Per Minute together, but we think the game’s unashamed slave-to-the-rhythm ethic gives it a fresh feel and an added edge,” says Awe Interactive founder David Jones.. “It’s that sweet spot between giving gamers a taste of the supreme shooters they loved when they were young, but also offering them something that genuinely pushes the boundaries of the genres the game straddles.”

BPM: Bullets Per Minute delivers a total of seven bosses players have to topple in order to reach the final boss, collecting an assortment of weapons, abilities, and items as they go, ensuring every playthrough has a unique feel.

All the action plays out to the beat of a barnstorming soundtrack, which takes inspiration from the likes of Wagner, Muse and Audioslave. Every pulse is tied to the in-game action, with the structure of BPM: Bullets Per Minute’s audio pulling everything together to make one cohesive world.

In short, if Brian May were to play games, he’d play BPM: Bullets Per Minute

BPM: Bullets Per Minute features:

  • Shoot, jump and dodge to the beat while battling hordes of enemies.
  • Fight powerful bosses in challenging boss battles that will push you to the edge.
  • Explore randomly generated dungeons.
  • Choose from 5 different characters with unique strengths and weaknesses.
  • Wield a powerful arsenal of weapons, all with different behaviour for firing and reloading to the beat of the soundtrack.
  • Battle a diverse array of enemies, each with unique rhythmic behaviours.
  • Get overpowered and fire shotgun rockets while flying through the air.
  • Utilise abilities that radically alter the way you play the game, from teleport to freezing bolts.
  • Equip over 40 items that buff your character in unique and interesting ways.
  • Experience an epic rock opera soundtrack.
  • Challenge modes for extra gameplay.

BPM: Bullets Per Minute will launch on Steam for PC this September, with Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions following later.
