NEVE CAMPBELL IS BACK AS SIDNEY PRESCOTT IN SPYGLASS MEDIA GROUP AND PARAMOUNT PICTURES’ RELAUNCH OF “SCREAM”

Neve Campbell has signed on to reprise her iconic role as Sidney Prescott from the preceding four films in the “Scream” franchise, it was announced today by Spyglass Media Group, LLC (“Spyglass”) and Paramount Pictures. Campbell joins previously announced legacy cast members David Arquette and Courteney Cox who will return as Dewey Riley and Gale Weathers, as well as new cast members Jack Quaid (“The Boys”), Melissa Barrera (“In The Heights”) and Jenna Ortega (“You”). Production  will shoot in Wilmington, North Carolina. Spyglass and Paramount Pictures will release the film in Australia on January 13, 2022. Casting updates to follow. 

Radio Silence said, “We’re pinching ourselves! It’s hard to express how much the character Sidney Prescott shaped our love of movies and to have the chance to work with Neve is truly a dream come true. It just wouldn’t be a ‘Scream’ movie without Neve and we’re so excited and honoured to join her in Woodsboro.”

Campbell said, “After spending time speaking with Radio Silence, they have shown such love, respect and admiration for Wes Craven and all that he’s created in the ‘Scream’ franchise. I am beyond excited to step back into the role of Sidney Prescott and return to Woodsboro.”

Up next, Campbell will star in the inspiring film “Clouds,” based on the life of Zach Sobiech and book by Laura Sobiech “Fly A Little Higher: How God Answered a Mom’s Small Prayer in a Big Way,”  which debuts on Disney+ this Fall. Campbell is well-known for playing Julia Salinger in the hit series “Party of Five” and held prominent roles in such films as “The Craft,” and “Three to Tango.” She starred in and produced “The Company,” directed by Robert Altman. She also starred in Netflix’s political thriller series “House of Cards.” Most recently, she starred in the action thriller “Skyscraper,” the political dramatic comedy “Hot Air,” and the drama “Castle in the Ground.”

“Scream” is being directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett of the filmmaking group Radio Silence (“Ready or Not,” “V/H/S”) from a screenplay by James Vanderbilt (“Murder Mystery,” “Zodiac,” “The Amazing Spider-Man”) and Guy Busick (“Ready or Not,” “Castle Rock”). Creator Kevin Williamson and the third member of the Radio Silence trio, Chad Villella, are executive producing with Project X Entertainment’s Vanderbilt, Paul Neinstein and William Sherak serving as producers.

“Scream” is a long-running genre-busting horror franchise which generated four feature films including “Scream” (1996), “Scream 2” (1997), “Scream 3” (2000) and “Scream 4” (2011). Directed by famed “maestro of horror,” the late Wes Craven, the films went on to gross more than $600 million in worldwide box office receipts.  Williamson wrote the original film as well as “Scream 2” and “Scream 4.”

120 FPS and 4K on New Platforms, Current Game Owners Will Get the Next-gen Version of the Game on the Same Family of Devices at no Additional Cost*

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA — September 11, 2020 — Today, during Ubisoft Forward, Ubisoft announced that Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six® Siege is coming to PlayStation®5 and Xbox Series X | S in 4K and 120 FPS with render scaling. It will be available later this year at the same price as the current-gen version. All current game owners will get the next-gen version of the game on the same family of devices at no additional cost*, and players will keep their progression and in-game content. The game will be a cross-generation game, meaning next-gen players will be able to play with current-gen players on the same family of devices.

In addition, Operation Shadow Legacy, the third season of Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege Year 5, is now available on PlayStation®4, the Xbox One family of consoles and Windows PC, including UPLAY+, the Ubisoft subscription service.** This new season brings innovation with the addition of Sam Fisher from the Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell saga as a new operator, a rework of the Chalet map, an improvement of the ping system and many other key updates.

Owners of the Year 5 Pass can play with Zero aka Sam Fisher immediately, while other players can unlock him with Renown or R6 Credits starting September 17. New seasonal content, including the Chalet map rework, are available for free to all players. Year 5 Season 3 also welcomes the Battle Pass, available now through October 19.

Sam Fisher is equipped with a new gadget called the Argus Launcher, a two-way drill camera. The cameras are launched to pierce soft or reinforced walls, windows and hatches, and can stick to any surface. The attacker can rotate the camera to see the other side of the wall and each camera is equipped with one laser charge, used to deal damage to defenders or destroy gadgets. Sam Fisher also comes with his unique weapons, the SC3000K and Karambit.

In addition to this new operator, players can explore a reimagined Chalet map, which is newly reworked. The first and the second floors are improved, and the roof is now traversable, among other features. Objectives have been the focus of this rework, with a hallway added to improve rotation in the Basement, and the Trophy site has been switched for a new one in Dining.

SYDNEY AUSTRALIA — September 11, 2020 — Today at Ubisoft’s digital press conference, Ubisoft Forward, the company announced the first ever Rainbow Six World Cup, an exciting new way to enjoy esports with Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six® Siege. The Rainbow Six World Cup will take place in the Winter of 2021. For the first time in Rainbow Six Esports history, players from 45 countries and regions will compete at the highest level to become the team that will make history by bringing home the very first Rainbow Six World Cup trophy. The World Cup is also a unique and unprecedented opportunity for fans to share their love, pride and unconditional support with the team that will represent them on the worldwide stage.

We noticed during our events that both professional players and fans showcased their national pride and enthusiasm,” said François-Xavier Dénièle, Esports Director at Ubisoft.  “As we saw all the different flags in the audience and international rivalries emerge, we began nurturing the idea of creating such a competition. The idea evolved into the World Cup we are announcing today. We believe that the World Cup will be a great opportunity to celebrate the Rainbow Six Siege community, both local and worldwide, while also providing new stakes and challenges for professional players.

For such a special occasion, Ubisoft has entrusted international athlete Tony Parker to take on the role of ambassador for the Rainbow Six World Cup and share his 20-year experience with the players involved in the competition. With 4 NBA titles, a EuroBasket title, more than 180 selections in national team and a true passion for esports and gaming, Tony Parker will have great insights to share with players who will face, for the first time, the special pressure and stakes that come with competing in world cups.

In the Rainbow Six World Cup players will compete alongside new teammates and new coaches from their home countries; players that might be their rivals otherwise,” said Tony Parker, 4-times NBA Champion and EuroBasket Champion. They will experience something new, and I am excited to share my experience and accompany them in that adventure as part of my role as an ambassador. From September 2020 to Winter 2021: the road to the Rainbow Six World Cup

From amateur competitive scenes which started only 5 years ago, Rainbow Six Siege has developed into Ubisoft’s top-tier esports title, with more than 60 million players worldwide, and 40 professional teams competing in four strong regional leagues across North America, Europe, Latin America and Asia-Pacific. The Rainbow Six World Cup is the latest addition to the Rainbow Six Esports ecosystem, as an independent layer of competition and the first ever country-based tournament for the game.

The Rainbow Six World Cup will involve a total of 45 countries and regions throughout two stages. The Qualifier Stage will happen during the first half of 2021, while the Final Stage will take place during the Winter of 2021. 14 countries and regions will get a direct invite to the Final Stage and, additionally, 31 other countries will take part in online qualifiers to compete for one of the six remaining available slots. Ultimately, 20 teams will compete in the Final Stage of the World Cup.

To determine the composition of each national team, local Rainbow Six Siege communities and professional scenes will participate in a two-step process:

  • Starting September 14, each of the 45 participating countries and regions will start selecting their National Committees, composed of 3 team managers.
  •  Later this fall, each National Committee will select the 5 players who will compete in the team.

The National Committees will ultimately head the team they carefully composed as they take on the challenge to become World Cup champions.

[SYDNEY,AUSTRALIA] – SEPTEMBER 11, 2020 – Today at Ubisoft’s digital press conference, Ubisoft Forward, the company unveiled exciting new content for Watch Dogs®: Legion: an exclusive collaboration with award-winning British musician Stormzy, the return of an old friend, Aiden Pearce, who is  playable as part of post-launch plans, and a new gameplay trailer diving into the Play-As-Anyone  experience. Led by Ubisoft Toronto*, Watch Dogs: Legion will release on October 29, 2020 on Xbox One, PlayStation®4, Stadia and for Windows PC on Epic Games and Uplay. The game will also be available on UPLAY+**, Ubisoft’s subscription service. Watch Dogs®: Legion will also release on Xbox Series X | S on November 10, and on PlayStation®5 upon the launch of the console.

Players will get to play a unique mission to help inspiring British musician, Stormzy. In the mission Fall on My Enemies, Stormzy will task players to help him secure the broadcast for his ‘Heavy Is The Head’ album track, ‘Rainfall’ (feat. Tiana Major9) in Central London. Premiered today on Ubisoft Forward and set to release on October 1st, the official music video for Rainfall has been fully created using the Watch Dogs: Legion engine.

His music and what he speaks to as an artist is extremely relevant for our London setting, and for the larger themes of our game,” commented Clint Hocking, Creative Director at Ubisoft Toronto. As part of the Watch Dogs: Legion post-launch content, Aiden Pearce will be back as a fully playable character, along with a dedicated story arc. The Season Pass of Watch Dogs: Legion is available for purchase as part of the Gold, Ultimate and Collector editions, and will offer one new story expansion delivered in two narrative arcs, extra DedSec missions, four unique heroes including Aiden Pearce, the Complete Edition of the original Watch Dogs game from 2014, and more. The full lineup of the Watch Dogs: Legion post-launch content will be detailed in the coming weeks. It will include some exciting free content and will bring playable characters, online content, new modes, missions and updates.

In Watch Dogs: Legion, London is facing its downfall. Amidst the growing unrest of a restless London, an unknown entity named Zero-Day has framed secret underground resistance DedSec for coordinated bombings across London. In the aftermath, criminal opportunists from every corner of London took hold and filled the void left by a defeated government. As a member of DedSec, players will be going up against those criminal opportunists in Watch Dogs: Legion; sadists, mercenaries, cybercriminals, and more; they’ll have to be prepared for a variety of situations. Larian Studios reveals Baldur’s Gate 3’s launch key art & new video on multiplayer cinematics

DUBLIN Sept. 10, 2020 — Larian Studio’s newest Baldur’s Gate 3 Community Update video, released today, breaks down the game’s cinematic ambitions for early access, which begins on September 30. It also introduces more interactivity through Stadia Crowd Choice and Twitch integration. A huge leap from Divinity: Original Sin’s rock-paper-scissors multiplayer interactions, Baldur’s Gate 3 features 1.5 million words, with fully cinematic dialogues.

Multiplayer & Cinematics Community Update:

Using a mix of performance capture and bespoke adaptive cameras, the game is able to react to whoever you are and whatever you do, both in multiplayer and single-player. With the addition of streaming integration, even viewers who may not own the game now have a say in the player’s journey.

Larian’s Cinematic Director, Jason Latino, explains, “You’re telling your story, and we’re shooting it for you. We’re taking that camera down from being above the players and down into the drama, right into the action.

“I can’t think of another early access game that’s done cinematics on this level,” he added. “There’s a lot of games where the moment you add cinematics, they have to get smaller. We didn’t want to do that.”

Community Update #6 – Multiplayer & Cinematics goes into detail about how Larian is combining a cinematic, player-driven narrative through early access, with multiplayer interactions both within and outside of the game session. It shows how far the team has come since Divinity: Original Sin, back in 2014.

When enabled by a streamer, Crowd Choice brings the journey to YouTube viewers, where Stadia viewers can vote. The streamer is seamlessly presented with the results in percentages, and can then choose to follow the players, or go their own way.

Twitch integration works by numbering each dialogue option, which corresponds to viewer choices. This feedback is seamlessly integrated into the game, where both streamer and viewer will see each percentage vote next to each dialogue option. What’s more, players will be able to interact with the Twitch overlay to access the player’s inventory, character sheet, skills, and spells.

Both of these features are launching day one of early access, respectively, on PC and Stadia. This not only brings the community closer to the player, but also, due to the amount of permutations in dialogues, enables streamers to “DM” their own adventure for viewers, letting viewers partake in the story regardless of whether they own the game. Players will be able to become a part of their favorite streamer’s own private canon. Or, as a streamer or viewer, hide the feature entirely. It’s up to them. As always, the game reacts appropriately.

Early access is rapidly approaching, and Larian is happy to launch with nearly everything needed to give players a sense of the ambition behind Baldur’s Gate 3. Dialogues have more permutations than ever before, and so too does the game. Not only does the game retain the narration previous Larian titles are so well known for, you’ll often see that action on screen — whether it’s a vampiric bite in the night, or a slip of the tongue on a goblin’s foot. Of course, there are many more for players to discover on their own.

Whether in solo, with friends — or streaming with an audience — no matter how you choose to experience Baldur’s Gate 3, the tools and systems that allow the game to adapt to the story forged by players are ready for early access on September 30.
