Victoria, British Columbia – September 23, 2020 – Metalhead Software will launch the latest update to its critically acclaimed video game, Super Mega Baseball 3 (SMB3), on September 29, 2020. Update 4 includes a brand-new game mode called Online Leagues, formerly announced as Custom Pennant Race, featuring versatile cross-platform custom leagues.

“We’re excited to give our users a really interesting way to recruit friends into the game,” says Metalhead Software co-founder Scott Drader. “Between the cross-platform invite codes and the fact new users can get started in Online Leagues with just the trial or demo version of the game, we’re stoked for the potential this mode has to massively grow the SMB community.”

Online Leagues will allow users to set up custom leagues and invite friends from other platforms. Leagues can be setup and played casually via matchmaking within the league, or alternatively, competitive users can play according to their own externally coordinated schedule via a match-against-specific user feature.

The SMB3 demo/trial will allow users to join a league created by their friend provided the league is configured with default settings. Leagues with non-default settings will require all users to have the full version of the game. Unlike Pennant Race mode, Online Leagues with default settings will allow usage of all Standard teams, full visual customization, and user-controlled Ego settings.
Update 4 also features a fully revamped Watch Mode, offering users a new way to experience AI versus AI games with all-new user controllable cameras. The new cameras will allow the on-field action to be taken in from dynamic angles and viewpoints for an immersive visual experience.
 
Features in Online Leagues:
Online Leagues is a cross-platform mode where you and your friends can battle it out in your own leagues! With a wide range of customizable features, Online Leagues gives users a brand-new way to enjoy competitive or casual online play:
 

  • Use invite codes to set up private leagues to play cross-platform with friends.
  • Play in short-term or long-term seasons, with statistics tracked throughout the season.
  • Customize settings and rules, such as Ego (difficulty) level and game length.
  • Play with SMB3 standard teams or fully customized user teams.
  • Create large leagues – up to 32 players.
  • Queue for games against any opponent in the league, or queue against a specific user.

Give Us a Story Worth Sharing

The overall focus of the Untold Tales’ portfolio will be primarily single player games that have the ability to tell an intriguing story, be it in the game itself or through gameplay. Untold Tales has also set itself up to focus on only releasing a select handful of games a year that match this criteria and only for platforms that fit each title.

Much of the focus for Untold Tales will be to be a publisher who wants to “cut the crap” for both devs and players alike. From skewed publishing agreements, convoluted demands right through to vague communication and messaging to players – those are all out. Rather an approach that is fair and custom to each game will be in place while overall being data and community focused to ensure time, effort and resources are spent on doing things that actually benefit both the developer and the players.

We’ll ensure our games are supported post release as best as possible, be it with free updates or with bigger content if the dev team is onboard. Untold Tales have already agreed to help bring The Hong Kong Massacre – the stylish slow-motion manipulation top down shooter by Swedish devs VRESKI – to the Nintendo Switch. THE KING OF FIGHTERS ALLSTAR INTRODUCES AN ALL-NEW GAMEPLAY MODE IN SEPTEMBER UPDATE

LOS ANGELES – SEPT. 28, 2020 Netmarble’s latest update for the popular mobile action role-playing game (RPG) THE KING OF FIGHTERS ALLSTAR  adds several new features, characters and battle cards, along with a new gameplay mode and special event for players to check out.

Today’s update welcomes new characters Shion and B. Jenet from THE KING OF FIGHTERS XI into the mix for players to collect, train, and fight with. New battle cards increasing attack power and active skill damage are also available for both characters.

The new Dungeon of Trials mode is officially debuting in THE KING OF FIGHTERS ALLSTAR, where players must stand up to a boss character that can never be defeated. In this mode, the player’s goal is to inflict maximum damage within a given time using 5 fighters. This offers even more fun and strategic play, as fights are based on two metas changing every 30 seconds.

Other updates coming to THE KING OF FIGHTERS ALLSTAR include:

  • Mid-Autumn Special Event
    • Mid-Autumn Special Login Streak Bonus: During this event period, players can obtain 300 rubies and rainbow-colored souls just by logging in.
    • Making Rice Cake (Mini Dungeon): A mini dungeon where players must time their taps properly to smash rice into rice cakes.
  • Fighter Roulette – A roulette event where players can obtain B. Jenet and B. Jenet Souls, along with KOF Gold Souls and other items.

THE KING OF FIGHTERS ALLSTAR boasts fast-paced fighting action as players battle through waves of enemies, giant bosses, and rival fighter teams. The excitement is paired with cutting edge graphics, bold colors, and lightning-fast animations. As we enter a new season of TEKKEN 7 esports competition, additional gameplay improvements and new content are coming for the acclaimed fighting game title in its Season 4 update. Kicking-off the updates are the return of a 2nd generation Kunimitsu and a brand new Vermilion Gates stage, both will be available in fall 2020. Kunimitsu’s last official appearance in a TEKKEN game was in TEKKEN TAG TOURNAMENT 2. Fans should look forward to wielding her Manji Ninjutsu skills in battle!

Along with Kunimitsu and the Vermilion Gates updates, there will be an array of free updates coming to TEKKEN 7, including:

  • New Moves: All TEKKEN 7 characters will be receiving new moves to add to their arsenal of martial arts skills.
  • Updated UI: More streamlined user interface
  • Online Play Enhancements: Response improvement / Wi-Fi indicator
  • TEKKEN Prowess: A new way for players to see their TEKKEN skills through points scoring. TEKKEN Prowess is calculated through a player’s highest owned rank, total rank of all characters, play stats, and the number of matches played.
  • Rank System Renewal: A new top level rank will be added to TEKKEN 7; those who reach this new highest level rank will be given the title of “TEKKEN GOD OMEGA”.
