Halloween in New Eden: EVE Echoes Unveils Brand New ‘Crimson Harvest’ Event
New Modules and Items Also Added to NetEase Games’ Mobile MMORPG
Guangzhou, China – October 31, 2020: Bringing some much needed festive cheer to players,NetEase Games is excited to lift the lid on several updates about to hit its celebrated mobile MMORPG EVE Echoes, with the roll-out of brand new Halloween-themed ‘The Crimson Harvest’ event leading the line.
Alongside the addition of seven new modules designed to reflect player feedback (including an Interdiction Sphere Launcher, Warp Disruption Field Generator, Warp Scrambler, Sensor Dampening, Target Painter, and a Tracking Disruptor and Guidance Disruptor), the aforementioned special event will run between October 31st and November 10th.
During the event,Crimson Harvest Anomalies were added to the universe. These will include Haunted Ruins and Carnival at Cemetery, which are low-level festive anomalies and high-level festive anomalies respectively. Both of them will appear in each system in the universe at random, with there naturally being a greater chance of low-level anomalies compared to the intentionally rarer high-level anomalies.
Brand new Halloween-themed skins will also be available in New Eden Store during the event. During the event, four kinds of different Skin boxes will be added, with some big discounts on some of these Skin boxes.
Neatly, the design of the Halloween skin was inspired by pumpkins, featuring an orange and black hull and an amazing flame-like effect when driving. These Skin batches will be on offer for a limited time – when the event is over, they will be removed from the store, and won’t be available as daily merchandise.
The Crimson Harvest event includes:
Crimson Harvest Anomalies will appear in the universe. These include Haunted Ruins (Low-level Festive Anomalie) and Carnival at Cemetery (High-level Festive Anomalies).
During the event, both will appear in each system in the universe at random, with there naturally being a greater chance of low-level anomalies compared to the intentionally rarer high-level anomalies.
You can get brand new Modules and Halloween exclusive Skins from Haunted Supply Boxes. There’s even a chance of getting permanent Halloween Skins. Haunted Supply Boxes can be traded.
The 7 new Modules can only be obtained through Haunted Supply Boxes during the event. On Nov. 11, these Modules can be obtained in the normal ways, once we’ve finished some final tweaks to the pirate system.
Opening Haunted Supply Box III grants new storyline Modules and permanent Halloween Skins.
Limited-time The Crimson Harvest Skins include:
Limited-Time Skins will be available in New Eden Store during the event. The way Skins have been provided has been changed: during the event, we are adding 4 kinds of different Skin boxes.
This batch of Skins are limited-time offers. When the event is over, they will be removed from the store, and won’t be available as daily merchandise.
October has seen EVE Echoes build on its growing popularity, with the game playing host to what may have been the biggest scale online battle in the history of mobile games.
Up to 1,200 players worldwide took park in an encounter between the Genesis Federation Alliance and OP4S alliance. With the former coming out victorious, the skirmish resulted in more than 1,350 ships being lost, alongside 61.2 billion ISK – EVE’s currency.
“We took control of the station grid,” said a spokesperson for the Genesis Federation Alliance. “As we tried to shoot enemy ships, they split their force between people who would shoot us and dozens of people who would undock and use the 60-second undock timer to cloud our overview with ships we could not shoot. In the meantime, the other fleet was free to use their other ships to attack us. When we identified those and tried to attack them, they would warp off and the undocking ships would shoot us from behind. Additionally, they abused the immunity to dock and undock guardian ships.”
Players can expect to see further battles of a similar scale take place during Halloween, both during and after The Crimson Harvest.

A year after the Early Access launch, The Farm 51 studio is back with a brand-new gameplay trailer and a whole bunch of exciting news for their upcoming sci-fi RPG survival horror game Chernobylite.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – October 30th, Gliwice, Poland.
Time flies when you’re having fun. Or work super hard with your community to make sure the game you’re developing will meet all their expectations. And that’s exactly what The Farm 51 devs have been doing since the Chernobylite Early Access launch back in mid-October 2019. A year later, the game is incomparably bigger (in content), better (when it comes to features), and more bada… erm… you know where we’re going with this, so without further marketing babble, let’s jump straight into all the juicy details, shall we?
For starters, watch the brand-new Chernobylite console announcement trailer, confirming the game will launch not only on PC and current-gen but also next-gen consoles.
Bringing Chernobylite to next-gen consoles will be possible thanks to the term-sheet The Farm 51 studio has just signed with All in! Games. Thanks to the cooperation, the game will get many more distribution channels (including streaming platforms) and will be professionally localized in more languages than originally planned. Before this happens, however, you can already enjoy another massive update that has just been added to the game. This Mega Patch is the penultimate one before the game’s content is complete, and here’s what you can expect from it:
Two new quests to complete
Dig deeper into either Olivier’s or Olga’s story. Or explore both to add new plot pieces for discovering Chernobylite’s mystery.
Two new levels, and additional locations on the already existing ones, to be discovered
Fractal World “The Woman in the Red Dress” is the conclusion of a new investigation on the board, and “Stealing Adrianna’s technology” will especially be enjoyed by those of you who asked how Igor got his VR helmet. On top of that, you’ll be able to explore additional locations added to the levels you already know. So make sure to revisit them and find them all. Just remember – you’ll need one of the new “toys” for that.
And yes, by “toys” we mean new weapons!
Test either the Chernobylite Blaster or enjoy the Anti-Chernobylite Burner that will help you to access the already mentioned new locations. Warning! Don’t visit them unless you’re not ready for a whole load of new events, as we’ve added over 40 of them within all levels.
AI improvements
Get ready for a perceptible change in the way soldiers behave when patrolling and searching for you. But most importantly, beware of the Black Stalker, as fighting him now is a real challenge. Mark our words.
Check how much of your feedback was implemented in the game
In short: you talked, we listened. And then added changes to the game, re-designed, iterated, and overall made sure that Chernobylite truly is a joint effort – it’ll be as much your game as it is ours. This means that, among other things, we’ve enlarged the base with an area that was previously flooded with water. We’ve also completely rebuilt the looting system. Now, what your opponent’s drop should be both more interesting and better suited for the challenge. Since you didn’t really like the possibility of building cover while exploring the Zone, we’ve replaced it with the possibility of building machines that have a global impact on the area. Following your request, we’ve also added the ability to toggle aim and crouch, as well as an alternative way to use the dodge ability. And that’s the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the number of changes this Mega Patch brings, so dive in HERE for the full changelog.
And if you want to see how the developers summarized the last year of development – take a look HERE.

Solasta: Crown of the Magisteris a Kickstarter-funded tactical RPG looking to bring the Dungeons & Dragons tabletop RPG experience to the PC. The game is officially licensed to use the 5.1 edition Systems Reference Document. The first act of Solasta is now on Steam Early Access, bringing players ten hours of gameplay and a level cap of six.
The story so far is pretty standard fantasy fare. It is by no means appropriate for young children, but it isn’t a dark, edgy adventure either. The dialogue is decent. There is room for improvement so far as the pacing feels a bit clipped at times.
Solasta: Crown of the Magister offers one of the most faithful recreations of the tabletop RPG experiences on the PC. It’s just short of actually breaking out your favourite rulebooks with friends over Roll20 or Tabletop Simulator. The game openly rolls every single attack, check, and save players would expect from a D&D session, and dice animations are featured prominently in the game’s UI.
Solasta offers one of the best implementations of rest and travel from the D&D rules. It fully embraces the need for consistent long rests by faithfully following the game’s prepared spell limits and liberally adding places for long rests throughout the levels. The pacing allows players to be generous with their limited use skills while still encouraging a certain degree of care. The travel system is represented by movement between major maps. Ranger bonuses, travel time, and ambushes are all replicated in the game, but done in a quick enough way that it never feels like it is bogging down the pace of the game.
Character creation and customization is a major part of Solasta. Players have the choice of populating their party of four with a handful of premade characters or creating their own custom characters. Six classes from D&D are in Solasta. Cleric, Fighter, Paladin, Rogue, Ranger, and Wizard cover all the main playstyles; however, there are some notable omissions. A free DLC adding the Sorcerer class is planned after the game launches in full. Fans of Barbarians, Bards, Druids, Monks, and Warlocks will be disappointed to know those classes are not in the plans.
The character creator is very thorough. I like that the system not only tells players what their character will be able to do out of the gate, but also provides a thorough, but manageable preview of what their character will also be able to do in the future. The background choices are slightly different than D&D. Players choose four words based on their background and alignment to sketch out a personality that likely affects available dialogue choices in game. Each character contributes a potential response based on their background and personality as conversations in game are with the entire party. It’s a refreshing change from the standard RPG method that groups everything into a positive, neutral, or negative dialogue from a single character.
With all the customization options, Solasta does a good job of getting lazy players into the action quickly. There are enough premade characters to form a party right away. Options for automatic allocations for level ups and spell slots are available. While the results will never be as good as a proper min/max job, the results are usable.
Combat is excellent. The first few fights of the game are easy, but I found the difficulty ramped up nicely. Overall, the game is on the higher end of the difficulty spectrum, requiring players to leverage every possible advantage they can find in the D20 rule set. Making use of lighting, ambushes, rest, and limited use abilities are all necessary if players want to get out alive.
The controls are decent. There are some keybinds, but the emphasis is heavily on the mouse. I did find the game wasn’t the best at dealing with moving the characters and attacking with one mouse click. Sometimes the positioning was the worst possible option, and a few times nothing happened. The most reliable method was simply moving characters and then attacking separately. The game also can’t deal with multiple units stacked on the same square due to sleep or some other knocked out status effect. Additionally, the UI is a bit chunky looking with all the boxes, but it manages to stay out of the way during combat.
Solasta’s art style is classic fantasy with a clean semi-realistic look. The graphics themselves are dated looking though. The environment looks good, but the character models are not sharp. The animations are passable, but they tend to look wooden.
The audio experience is decent. The soundtrack is enjoyable, and the sound effects are solid. The voice acting is on par with smaller independent titles. The main characters aren’t bad enough to be in a B-movie, but it’s nowhere near an AAA performance either. On the other hand, the actors for smaller roles are rough.
It’s a shame Solasta: Crown of the Magister hit Steam Early Access around the same time as Baldur’s Gate 3. The two will inevitably be compared, and there is always the risk Solasta will be overlooked simply because it’s not the shiniest toy on the block. However, Solasta makes a compelling case by carving out its own niche. For tabletop RPG fans looking for a video game that’s close to the actual thing, Solasta is already worth a look this early in the development cycle.

Citing the new Cyberpunk 2077 release date, EVERSPACE™ 2 will be launching into Steam Early Access January, 2021
Hamburg, Germany – October 30, 2020 – ROCKFISH Games has announced in their latest Kickstarter update that the Steam Early Access launch of their highly anticipated upcoming space looter shooter EVERSPACE 2 is being delayed to January.
“Porting the original EVERSPACE to last-gen consoles was quite a challenge for us back in the day, so we can only imagine what a challenge it must be to bring a massive title like Cyberpunk 2077 to Xbox One and PlayStation 4,” says Michael Schade, CEO & co-founder of ROCKFISH Games. “Unfortunately, this is also a major blow for any other game that was scheduled during that week. We know from our community that there is quite an audience overlap between the two titles, so we decided to get out of the way and push back our release to January. We are aware that EVERSPACE 2 fans will be unhappy, but competing with the arguably most anticipated video game in history is just not a good idea. To give this a positive spin, we’ve decided to send out pre-release keys with closed Beta access to all eligible Kickstarter backers on November 2nd, so they can play the first 10ish hours of EVERSPACE 2 a month earlier. Furthermore, we also plan to give away 200 additional Beta pre-release keys good for the closed beta only through media partners and our weekly community streams to ease the pain for a few lucky space pilots.”
To help tide the EVERSPACE 2™ community over the holiday season, The ROCKFISH Games team has decided to send out pre-release keys for the closed beta to all Kickstarter backers who pledged on the Just A Digital Copy, Please and higher.
This news was announced alongside an early look at the Gunship class of heavy fighters and a sneak peek at plans for the all-new crafting system.
As in any looter shooter, defeating enemies and completing quests will provide rewards that aren’t always what a player is seeking for their ideal build. The new crafting system comes into play to produce valuable equipment also from collected lower-level items. Primary weapons, secondary weapons, and ship modules can be improved, and players will be able to collect rare blueprints for epic weapons and equipment over the course of the game.
In addition, ROCKFISH Games presents the first details about the Gunship, a heavy, armed to the teeth heavy fighter subclass with a devastating 360 ° targeting automated turret as its ultimate special ability.
The team plans to add this new ship class and crafting to EVERSPACE 2™ for the Early Access launch in January 2021.
The ROCKFISH Games team will give further insights into the crafting system and show off an early look at the Gunship during their Dev Livestream on October 30, 2020. The livestream can be followed from 8pm – 10pm CEST on the ROCKFISH Games Channel on Twitch and YouTube.
EVERSPACE 2™ can be wishlisted on Steam and a free demo on Steam is currently available.

This inquisitor draws his power directly from his faith in Sigmar, and he becomes judge and executioner when he cleanses the heresy and Chaos he exposes.
As well as the introduction of this new character, there is also a free patch that adds improvements for new players and fans of the first hour of the game. The two hubs of Act 1 and Act 2 have been expanded. The area around the camp of Act 2 has also been enhanced with new enemies to fight. There is also a new area – the cemetery – which adds a new environment and a larger bestiary. This includes new enemies, including Daemon Princes, Skullcrushers (mounted and on foot), a Chaos Warrior and new cultists.
The new Witch Hunter character is part of the Slayer Edition on the new consoles and available as DLC for current-generation consoles. The patch with improved environments, new area and bestiary is free for everyone on all platforms.
