Space Raiders in Space Combines Graphic Novels and Alien Tower Defense on PC Dec. 8

Space Raiders in Space Combines Graphic Novels and Alien Tower Defense on PC Dec. 8

GLIWICE, Poland — October 15, 2020 — Space Raiders in Space, the tower defense roguelike with pulp comic style from publisher Destructive Creations and developer 2 Stupid Devs, exits Early Access and adds a story mode filled with new levels and battles against an alien hivemind threat on Tuesday, Dec. 8 on Steam for Windows PC.

Humanity and the sentient hivemind extraterrestrials were getting along so well until the aliens collectively decided that they were tired of friendship and felt more in the mood for murder. Join badass warrior Andy, super-scientist Heather, and friendly alien Murphy as they squish the creepy-crawly aliens and prove the superiority of individual consciousness once and for all.

Combine tower defense strategery with roguelike-inspired game modes and squad management across a new story mode with 40+ pages of custom comic illustrations and voice acting. Assemble defenses of walls, turrets, and obstructions to reduce these space invaders to ash. Between waves, issue commands to the squad to search, build, fight, defend, and cower away from the extraterrestrial danger.

Eradicate wave after wave to collect weapons for survival like big ole hammers, a nasty crossbow that shoots through lines of enemies, beefy swords, and many more implements of destruction, each with different tiers and rarities. With enemies approaching from all sides, Andy, Heather, Murphy, and humanity need as much help as they can get from the cosmos, like the ability to stop time itself for a quick breather or a last-ditch effort for survival.

Space Raiders in Space brings pulp comic style to tower defense gameplay with gorgeous graphic novel-style art. Full of easter eggs, 2 Stupid Devs’ humor comes through with plenty of moments that break the fourth wall to provide a laugh while crushing those alien jerks.

“Comic-style art, killer space aliens, and deprecating humor come together for a truly great tower defense experience in Space Raiders in Space,” said Marcin Stanek, Business Development Manager at Destructive Creations. “Build the best strategy and beat back the hordes when we launch on December 8.”

Space Raiders in Space launches on PC via Steam December 8 in English. Please join the game’s official Discord server and follow on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and Twitch for more information. Request a review key through this form.

About 2 Stupid Devs

Porsche rides into the dark future of Cyberpunk 2077

CD PROJEKT RED has announced today that the studio has recreated the classic Porsche 911 Turbo to be featured in its upcoming video game, Cyberpunk 2077.

First teased in the latest episode of the online show Night City Wire, the Cyberpunk 2077 Porsche 911 Turbo, based on the model range first launched back in 1974, will be included in the game as a unique, fully-drivable vehicle. Its presence is tied to one of the game’s main characters — rebel rockerboy Johnny Silverhand, played and portrayed by Keanu Reeves.

The automotive icon retains its classic 1977 look, painstakingly recreated and adapted by CD PROJEKT RED concept and vehicle artists using sketches, photographs, and photogrammetry. The model has been adapted to the reality of 2077 through the addition of, among others, a lidar attached to the front, a set of sensors and elements to identify the vehicle from the air, and electronic mirrors with monitors inside the vehicle.

“Johnny’s a legend of the Cyberpunk universe. When thinking about what kind of car he’d be driving through the streets of Night City, we knew it would have to be one just as legendary as he is. Having Johnny’s story in mind, and being huge fans of Porsche ourselves, the answer could only be the classic 911 Turbo,” said Paweł MielniczukArt Director of Characters, Weapons and VehiclesCD PROJEKT RED.

In addition to the 911 Turbo appearing in the game, a real-life and fully operational rendition of its Johnny Silverhand variant has been constructed. The car will be available on display outside the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart from October 15th to October 22nd. It is also featured in a commercial shot on location, telling the story of a car that retains a mysterious connection to its previous owner.

Enlisted will be a next generation Xbox timed console exclusive and a part of the launch line-up

The Battle for Moscow will be the first campaign available with the Normandy Invasion to follow

Gaijin Entertainment and Darkflow Software studio announce that Enlisted – a new massive realistic WWII online shooter game – will be part of Xbox Series X|S launch line-up as a Game Preview title and a timed console exclusive. A ‘Founder’s pack’ purchase will be required to get access to the game.

Battles in Enlisted take place both on the ground and in the air, while players assume the roles of an infantry squad or a tank crew commander or an aircraft pilot. Each squad consists of several soldiers that can be trained, equipped with new gear and weapons and taken into battle. It’s possible to freely switch between them and stay in the most interesting point of the battle even when some of the soldiers in the squad have already fallen.

Enlisted is divided into campaigns, each of them covering a specific key battle of World War II. Available factions, squads, weapons, gear, ground vehicles and aircraft depend on the gear that was really present in the specific theater of operations, leading to a unique experience provided by each campaign. At first, players will be able to fight in the “Battle for Moscow” that recreates the heavy clashes between German and Soviet troops in the outskirts of the Russian capital during the winter of 1941-1942. The next campaign to arrive in the Game Preview will be the “Normandy Invasion” covering D-Day landing and following battles. There are more campaigns already in development including the “Battle for Berlin” and others.

Enlisted utilizes the new version of Dagor engine – the one that the military online simulation game War Thunder and brutal online shooter Cuisine Royale use. A Proprietary Ray Traced Global Illumination system makes sure that the in-game lighting is natural in appearance, reacts to game events like explosions and object destruction and will work better on the Xbox Series X|S thanks to ray tracing hardware support on the platform. The Xbox Series X version will work at 4K resolution, Xbox Series S works at 1440p, while in both cases, a stable 60 frames per second are achieved.

Xbox Series X|S Game Preview players will be the first to try the Enlisted beta version that follows a couple of time-limited playtests and closed alpha testing. Player feedback in this game that is still in development will be used to improve the quality even further and during the development of the new campaigns and other content.
