World of Tanks brews partnership with Australian owned, Ironside Coffee Co.

Wargaming’s flagship game, World of Tanks is excited to announce a partnership with Australian family-run company Ironside Coffee Co. – an Australian  Veteran Owned Business that embodies a similar ethos to recognising military history as Wargaming. The collaboration will see Ironside produce a World of Tanks coffee, Arabica Premium Coffee Roast (APCR). World of Tanks have also created Invite Codes for Ironside customers who purchase from Ironside’s Canberra based online store and mobile coffee van.

Run by husband and wife team; Ben and Nyomie Horton, who have collectively served in the Australian military for over 30 years, Ironside Coffee operates out of Canberra. The team’s interest and involvement in the military continues to this day, with Ben producing the Ironside Podcast; a regular podcast that focuses on lessons learnt from leaders in the Australian Defence Force.

The ACPR naming is a nod to ‘Armour Piercing Composite Round’ which is the main ammunition used by most battle tanks.

“We first heard of the Ironside family through the WarriorU podcast series and knew instantly they’d be a great team to partner with,” said Jake Truman, World of Tanks Product Manager, ANZ.

“Ironside started supplying beans for the Wargaming Sydney office and World of Tanks began exploring a partnership by providing Bonus Codes for Ironside’s customers. We’re now formalising a partnership with a World of Tanks coffee blend, APCR, being made available soon. Both sides also have plans to collaborate on streams and podcasts as well as additional projects and longer term plans,” concluded Jake.

NETMARBLE ISSUES FISCAL AND EARNINGS RESULTS FOR THE THIRD QUARTER OF 2020

Q3 Performance Remains Steady Thanks to Strong Interest from Overseas Players

Los Angeles, California – November 13, 2020 – Netmarble Corp., a global mobile game company focused on creating entertaining gaming experiences for players of all ages, revealed their financial results for the third quarter of 2020.

“We continue to see strong results at the end of our third quarter with significant overseas sales coming from our line-up of existing games,” said Seungwon Lee, Co-CEO of Netmarble. “We have positive expectations for the recent global launch of A3: STILL ALIVE, our upcoming regional launch of Seven Knights 2, and Kabam’s upcoming release of MARVEL Realm of Champions.”

“We’re looking forward to what 2021 will bring as we continue to deliver an exciting slate of new games next year, including Ni No Kuni: Cross Worlds, Seven Knights Revolution, and MARVEL Future Revolution,” said Lee. “Thanks to our new partnership with the NBA and NBPA, we are committed to the continued growth of our portfolio through genre expansion”.

Selected highlights from Netmarble’s third quarter include:

  • $535 million in total sales, $73 million in operating profit, and a net profit of $77 million from July through September. Cumulative sales for 2020 are estimated at $1.55 billion, with an operating profit of $158 million.
  • Total sales increased by 3.6% year-over-year and decreased by 6.3% quarter-on-quarter. Operating profit increased 3.6% year-over-year and 7% quarter-on-quarter.
  • Net profit increased by 9.2% year-over-year and 8.6% quarter-on-quarter.
  • Overseas sales accounted for 75% ($399 million) of overall sales in the third quarter. This follows Netmarble’s second quarter which offered the highest figure of overseas sales, and continues to follow an increasing trend in global sales thanks to the worldwide success of titles such The Seven Deadly Sins: Grand Cross (17% of revenue earned), MARVEL Contest of Champions (15% of revenue earned) (Kabam), Lineage 2: Revolution (9% of revenue earned) and Blade&Soul Revolution (8% of revenue earned).
  • Genre portfolio showed diversification across RPG (40%), Casual (25%), MMORPG (23%), and others (12%).

MapleStory Fest at Home 2020 Unites Maplers Around The World With All-Digital Event

Fans Celebrate With New Update Reveals for MapleStory and MapleStory M 

LOS ANGELES – Nov. 16,  2020 – Maplers around the world gathered to celebrate their favorite games: MapleStory and MapleStory M. Garnering over 20,000 views, MapleStory Fest 2020 at Home brought fans together for the virtual festivities. Fans enjoyed special announcements, greetings from developers, live engagement events, including quizzes, a fan art contest, and several giveaways. 

The event kicked off with a teaser of MapleStory M’s highly anticipated new Demon Avenger class available in-game starting on December 1. MapleStory M developers also answered community questions based on feedback gathered through various platforms announcing several improvements. 

Maplers were also treated to the latest news surrounding MapleStory with the announcement of the Awake two-part content update. The first installment, Awake: Ascend to Mastery, will be landing on November 18 featuring new 5th Job skills for all classes, Grand Athenaeum Episode 6: Sharenian Knights and character level-up events, including the return of Burning World. 

The second part of the update, Awake: Flicker of Light, will include Reboot world improvements with the addition of Zero character creation, new areas, seasonal events, and exclusive Global MapleStory content slated to hit on December 16.  

After receiving hundreds of submissions, viewers came together to vote for the most creative fan art and MapleStory and MapleStory M guild group screenshots. During the event, a special community video was shown featuring MapleStory and MapleStory M players sharing their favorite Maple world memories.

Winners of the MapleStory Fest 2020 in-game prizes were also announced throughout the event from over 6,000 entries received. Nexon also partnered with HyperX to create an exclusive MapleStory Fest 2020 Cloud Alpha headset raffled during a social media promotion. Celebrate Basketball Culture and 21 Years of 2K In Inaugural Global Event – 2KFest

2K has announced 2KFest, a global celebration of music, basketball, gaming and culture, featuring NBA and WNBA All-Stars and legends, musical talent and influencers from around the world in the 24-hour event.

On the heels of the global launch of NBA 2K21 for next-gen consoles, the inaugural 24-hour livestream event is the first of its kind for 2K, and will bring an action-packed day of experiences and exclusive 2K content that you don’t want to miss. Hosted by sports broadcaster, Ros Gold-Onwude, and FIFA World Cup Golden Glove winner and current Real Madrid goalkeeper, Thibaut Courtois,  2KFest features the NBA’s biggest superstars and legends including cover athletes, Damian Lillard and Zion Williamson, along with Anthony Davis, Kevin Durant, Candace Parker, Ben Simmons, Jayson Tatum, Vince Carter, and Shaquille O’Neal, and will include performances from some of the hottest artists in the game including D.A.M.E. Dolla, Quavo, Saweetie, 88rising, Aitch, and more.

2KFest will run from November 20, 7pm AEDT to November 21, 7pm AEDT and can be watched live on Twitter, with additional live streams on YouTube and Twitch.
