Killer Queen Black’s Eight-Player Action Comes To Xbox Game Pass January 5

Killer Queen Black’s Eight-Player Action Comes To Xbox Game Pass January 5

CHICAGO — December 7, 2020 — Killer Queen Black, the strategic eight-player arcade action platformer from Liquid Bit and BumbleBear Games, joins the Xbox console family via Xbox Game Pass on January 5.

Inspired by the tight mechanics of retro platformers with a dash of tactical teamplay, Killer Queen Black’s winning awaits a whole new community. Each team of four consists of one Queen and three Workers. The formidable Queen can fly and attack with a stinger sword from the outset, and she can tag power-up gates on the field to give her team a leg up.

Workers excel in adaptability, making them essential to victory. Run to collect berries to fill the team hive or spend a berry on a power-up gate to gain speed boosts and transform into Soldiers. Wield Swords, Laser Rifles, Morning Stars, and more to destroy opposing Workers or face the Queen herself. Combine speed boosts with weapons to become Speed Soldiers capable of giving the Queen a run for her money.

Each of the seven single-screen maps make all characters and strategies visible at all times. Cooperate and coordinate to conquer the opposing team’s hive with one of three victory types: Economic, Military, and Snail. Fill the team’s hive with berries to secure an Economic victory. Slowly ride a snail to the team’s goal to earn a Snail Victory. And sometimes the simplest plan makes the most sense: take out the other Queen three times to lock down a Military victory.

Beyond fast reflexes and keen tactics, Killer Queen Black encourages communication. Gather friends locally or on Xbox Live to form two teams of four. Play in private matches with friends only or join matchmaking to test those Queen skills around the world.

“We’re happy to bring Killer Queen Black to Xbox Game Pass and expand our community even further, thanks to cross-platform support,” said Matt Tesch, co-founder of Liquid Bit. “Our game’s arcade-inspired nature thrives when new players get to learn the ins and outs of everything, from how to fly like a champ to how to pull off sneaky Snail Victories.”

Echo Generation Arrives on Xbox Series X|S and PC with Limited-Time Demo at The Game Awards Festival

Play Next-Gen Adventure Now Through Dec. 15

TORONTO — December 7, 2020 — A limited-time demo for Echo Generation comes to Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Steam for PC today through Tuesday, Dec. 15. Echo Generation, the nostalgic voxel-based adventure RPG from Cococucumber following a gang of kids investigating supernatural occurrences to save their small town, will arrive on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Steam for PC in 2021.

The summer of 1993 is nearly at an end. A sleepy Canadian town suddenly becomes home to strange accidents and mutated creatures, but the grown-ups won’t do anything about it! Of course, it’s up to the kids to take action. Collect comic books and snacks, hunt for quirky quest items and uncover spooky clues to root out evil and fight back against forces unknown.

Echo Generation’s limited-time demo sends a dynamic brother-sister duo, each with their own powers and baddie-stomping abilities, out into the world. On the first steps of their journey, sure to bring nostalgia to any child of the ‘80s and ‘90s, face off against trash pandas, giant rats and manic mechanical monsters in turn-based combat.

These kids are tough, but not invincible—take advantage of quick-time events and mini games to defend, snag a critical hit or nail a sweet combo. Kick, punch, and bust some moves with skills learnt from comics, and unlock cool powers by doing what kids do best: exploring! Conquer quests in a vibrant, voxel-based world, trekking through town to grooving electropop and pumping synthwave tunes.

The charmingly familiar world of Echo Generation comes to life on Xbox Series X|S with a gorgeous 4K presentation on Series X and 60 FPS on both current-gen consoles. Whether playing on Xbox One consoles or the latest and greatest, adventurous spirits will find a haunting-yet-hopeful journey colored with childlike imagination.

“We hope to give fans a taste of the nostalgic and slightly kooky world of Echo Generation, where high-spirited kids take off on adventures around their neighbourhood,” said Martin Gauvreau, Game Director at Cococucumber. “Moments of mystery and haunting atmosphere contrasted with an absolutely banging soundtrack and active turn-based battles will keep you on your toes.”

Echo Generation arrives in 2021 on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Steam for PC. The original score by Toronto-based musician Pusher is available now for free via Spotify, iTunes and Apple Music, Soundcloud, and more. Clash Squad Season Four and New Dual-Wield Weapon Highlight Free Fire’s Latest Update

Player feedback continues to pave the way for Free Fire’s future patches

SINGAPORE – December 7, 2020 – Free Fire, one of the world’s most popular mobile games, is announcing the launch of its latest patch, Operation Chrono. The patch includes a new season of Clash Squad, the game’s first dual-wield weapon, additions to the Training Grounds, and much more!

The fourth season of Clash Squad will soon be here, and with it, Survivors who rank up to Gold III or above will have an opportunity to earn the exclusive Golden P90. The popular game mode will also receive optimizations that will match premade teams against each other, while those playing solo will complete their matchmaking with other solo teammates.

For the first time in Free Fire history, the game is introducing a dual-wield weapon — the Vector Akimbo. While the Vector Akimbo has a relatively short effective range, its devastating power in close range assaults makes it an ideal weapon for Survivors who like to get up close and personal with their enemies. In addition to introducing a new weapon, Free Fire is making adjustments to a number of existing weapons, like the M4 and P90, to help keep its weapon ecosystem diverse and balanced. Advanced attachments are also being replaced with advanced weapons, which will help Survivors in using a powerful rare drop as quickly as possible.

Free Fire’s Training Grounds have been a big hit since its launch in December 2019 by offering a fun and relaxed environment. Training Grounds continues to evolve with the introduction of its own fun form of currency — Bermuda Shells. Survivors can earn them by actively participating in minigames like the new Music Arcade, which allows friends to create music together by stepping on buttons on the ground, and social activities. The first in-game item that can be purchased with Bermuda Shells is the firework.

Additional improvements to Free Fire once Operation Chrono launches include a renovation to the Fire Pass interface, the launch of the Free Fire Partner program for certified players and celebrities, the option to save up to 2 sets of in-game HUDs, a new interface to rank mode, and changes to the electric surfboard. Many of the changes being made in the upcoming patch are based on player feedback, which the Free Fire team pays a lot of attention to. Survivors looking to kick off the latest season of Clash Squad along with discovering the destructive firepower of the dual-wield Vector Akimbo can download Free Fire at the following locations:
