Developed by Tokyo-based DOKIDOKI GROOVEWORKS Inc., TAIKO NO TATSUJIN: RHYTHMIC ADVENTURE PACK officially brings two never-released-in-the-west Taiko no Tatsujin titles (Taiko no Tatsujin Rhythmic Adventure 1 & 2) to players outside of Japan; delivering a one-of-a-kind experience to the cult-classic Japanese rhythm game. TAIKO NO TATSUJIN: RHYTHMIC ADVENTURE PACK presents a unique storyline as players set out on two different Role-Playing-Game (RPG) adventures taking them through different periods in history, and into the future, to battle over 250 different monsters, bosses, and enemy drums.

Players will need to hone their rhythmic drum playing skills in order to beat enemies. Completing challenging rhythmic combos deals more damage to enemy characters, leading to their defeat. However, old enemies can become future allies as players are able to invite vanquished foes to join their party to take on even more powerful enemies and bosses. Fans of the series are also able to enjoy classic Taiko no Tatsujin gameplay in TAIKO NO TATSUJIN: RHYTHMIC ADVENTURE PACK’s Rhythm Game Mode, which features over 130 songs and six entirely new tracks, including “Charles” by balloon (featuring flower) and “Gurenge” by LiSA, the opening theme from Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba.

BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment America Inc. today announced that a free content update and the first DLC characters are now available for Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions.

Players can now continue their journey for soccer glory in the new story chapter in Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions’ EPISODE: NEW HERO, which pits Tsubasa Ozora against one of his greatest rivals, Otomo Middle School. This free update also delivers a brand new Assist Mode, which will enhance players’ capabilities on the field and balance adjustments to the VERSUS and ONLINE VERSUS modes.

Additionally, the three new competitors to join the fray—the “Swedish Prince” Stefan Levin of Sweden, the “Muay Thai Fighter” Singprasert Bunnaak of Thailand, and the “Miracle Keeper” Ricardo Espadas of Mexico—are now available through the Character Pass or for individual purchase. These international competitors mark the first of nine characters to be released as a part of the Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions Character Pass.

Presented by USAA, First Ever Trans-Atlantic Military Esports Competition Brings Together Top Streamers and Teams from All U.S. Department of Defense Military Branches and UK Branches To Raise Funds for Veteran Employment

 Teams to Compete in the Newly-Released Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, Coached by Call of Duty League Pros

SANTA MONICA, Calif. – Dec. 3, 2020 – The Call of Duty Endowment (CODE) today announced the second ever C.O.D.E. Bowl presented by USAA on December 11. The C.O.D.E. Bowl is the Endowment’s cornerstone charity event to raise awareness and funds for veteran employment. For the first time ever, all five U.S. Department of Defense military branches and UK military are participating with members from their own esports teams. This year’s C.O.D.E. Bowl includes three new teams making their debut from the US Marine Corps, US Air Force and the US Space Force. In addition, with the participation from the United Kingdom’s British Army, Royal Air Force, and Royal Navy, the C.O.D.E. Bowl will also be the first trans-Atlantic military eSports competition to feature all of these branches.

“We are proud to have the United States and the United Kingdom militaries come together to participate in the C.O.D.E. Bowl,” said Dan Goldenberg, Executive Director of the Call of Duty Endowment. “This will be the first time all military branches have come together for a spirited eSports competition with the added bonus of raising awareness for veteran employment and we couldn’t be more excited to partner with USAA to make this happen.”

The C.O.D.E. Bowl kicks off at 10:00 a.m. Pacific, December 11, and will feature eight teams each captained by a popular Call of Duty streamer teamed up with another top influencer and service members from the United States and the United Kingdom, all competing in the newly-released Call of Duty®: Black Ops Cold War in a tournament-style competition. The action will be broadcast live on the Call of Duty YouTube and Twitch channels. Each team will be also be coached by a Call of Duty League professional who will provide strategy, tips and recommendations prior to the event.

“C.O.D.E. Bowl is a premiere gaming event made even more impactful by the work of the Endowment to help place veterans into careers following their military service,” said USAA Chief Brand Officer Tony Wells, who was an infantry officer in the US Marines. “USAA is proud to support C.O.D.E. Bowl and expand our involvement in esports as a way to celebrate military members and veterans and help them connect with each other through games they love.”

Participating teams from the military include players from the United States Air Force, Army, Marine Corps, Navy and Space Force, and UK players from the British Army, Royal Navy and Royal Air Force. Streamers joining these teams include Courage, LEGIQN, Huskerrs, Swagg, Espresso, Vikkstar, Tommey, C9Emz, Spratt and more to be announced soon. 

In addition to being the first all-service esports competition of its caliber, the C.O.D.E. Bowl, presented by USAA, is centered on impact. Ram Trucks will be giving away a 2021 Ram 1500 Built To Serve special edition truck to a deserving veteran recently placed into a job through the Endowment’s support. Scuf Controllers is also an event partner, for the second year in a row. All net proceeds from the event will be used to place veterans into high-quality jobs.

The Call of Duty Endowment has funded the placement of more than 77,000 vets into high quality employment since its inception and aims to place 100,000 veterans into meaningful jobs by 2024. The Endowment’s 2019 cost to place a veteran was $499, providing employment at 1/6 the cost of US Department of Labor efforts.

New solo experience features new rewards, player-controlled pacing and … giant crab monsters?

WarGames, an exciting new solo event, is scheduled to arrive tomorrow, December 3, in WWE® SuperCard, the collectible card-battling game from Cat Daddy Games. WarGames will be available as a free downloadable update on the Apple App Store for iOS devices, including iPhone® and iPad®; the Google Play Store and Amazon Appstore for Android™ devices*; and Facebook Gaming.

WarGames will challenge players to battle for control across three rings and three rounds. Each ring will feature a random match-up type to test players’ deck-crafting skills. Player and AI cards fight for control of a ring and any losing cards get KO’d. When the dust settles, whoever has the most cards in a ring earns points, and at the end of the three rounds, the player with the most points wins.

Designed using the foundational principles behind the Road to Glory and Ring Domination events, WarGames can be played at the player’s own pace with opportunities to get rewards at regular intervals as progress is made. Every WarGames event will run across several days and feature an event card in its top slot.

WarGames will also feature giant crab monsters. What’s that all about? Players will just have to see for themselves!

All teams, whether already involved in Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six ® Esports or newly formed rosters, can register for a chance to prove themselves and join the 16 best pro teams already qualified for the Six Invitational 2021

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA — December 3, 2020 — Today, Ubisoft® announced that teams can now register for the four regional Open Qualifiers that will be held online in Asia-Pacific, Europe, Latin America and North America and compete for a chance to qualify for Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six® Invitational 2021.

The fifth edition of the Six Invitational will be held in Europe in February 2021 and will gather 20 teams across the four main regions of the Rainbow Six Esports circuit, competing offline in a LAN environment following strict sanitary measures. For health and safety reasons, there will be no audience on site.

Sixteen teams have already secured their spot in the competition by earning points through regional leagues and Six Majors during the Rainbow Six Esports Season 2020. These points contributed to their ranking in the Global Points Standings and have determined their qualification for the Six Invitational.

Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege’s Esports includes 4 main regions, Europe, North America, Latin America and Asia-Pacific. All four regions run in parallel their own dedicated regional leagues, all feeding into one unique and global race towards a qualification for the Six Invitational, the pinnacle of the Rainbow Six Siege competitive year. BOSTON — 3 December 2020 — IONIA, the first title in the Rhythm of the Universe adventure series about preserving the environment with the power of music theory from ROTU Entertainment, will create a magnificent symphony as a native Oculus Quest app and for PSVR alongside previously announced PC VR headsets in Q2 2021. Two percent of proceeds from the Cannes XR Development Showcase 2020 award-winner and Raindance film festival nominee will benefit environmental non-profit Wildlife Warriors.

Established in 2002 by Steve and Terri Irwin, Wildlife Warriors continues Steve Irwin‘s legacy of protecting injured, threatened or endangered wildlife, be it an individual animal or an entire species. Its mission is closely aligned with that of ROTU Entertainment, and the Irwin family supports Rhythm of the Universe: IONIA’s goal of raising awareness for environmental protection issues through immersive entertainment.

As the first of seven games, each with a distinct look and feel, IONIA will introduce an otherworldly forest filled with instrument-inspired flora and fauna. The world is alive with the sounds of music as hands-on interactions between VR controllers and denizens of the woods send sharp drum beats, soft bell tones, and other good vibrations humming through the air. Carve a path into a jungle teeming with life to save the Harpa, a mythical being facing peril.

Rescuing the Harpa while exploring the mysterious forest and its looming ruins is no small task. Climb trees, zipline across trenches, collect supplies, and solve puzzles using music-based magic to push back the vines hiding a mystical narrative and lively ecosystem all designed around the Rhythm of the Universe. Reveal hidden areas, unlock the power of tonal tablets, and most importantly, heal the forest through the power of song.

Six New Characters and New Epic Quest Added in Today’s Update

LOS ANGELES – December 2, 2020 – Netmarble’s latest update for the popular mobile game MARVEL Future Fight brings an all-new update to the game inspired by the ‘Dark Avengers’ comic book series. Dark Avengers tells the tale of Norman Osborn as the former Green Goblin beginning his global reign with the formation of a team of super villains posing as heroes.

Today’s update adds six new characters to the game, such as Sentry, Scorpion, Daken, Ares, Moonstone and Molecule Man, along with new uniforms, including a Dark Avengers uniform for Green Goblin and Bullseye, that are now available for players to collect.

In addition, an all-new ‘Dark Reign’ themed epic quest where the storyline unfolds around our reformed villains has been added for players to experience. Dark Reign’s main character Sentry can be acquired and bumped directly to Tier-3 in this Epic Quest, and Agents can acquire new heroes while growing Sentry through completing quests.

Other additions to MARVEL Future Fight include:

  • Awaken Potential’ and new Awaken skills have been unlocked for Bullseye, Moonstone, and Ares
  • Realize Potential’ has been unlocked for Scorpion, Daken, Ares, Moonstone, Molecule Man

The Holidays have come Early to World of Warships

World of Warships (WoWS) reveals details of both updates 0.9.11 and 0.9.12, bringing lots of gifts for players, new US Battleships available for research and two new festive campaigns.

Today, developer and publisher Wargaming has announced the details of its next two holiday updates for World of Warships (WoWS), its widely popular, free to play naval combat game. Update 0.9.11 launches today, while update 0.9.12 is scheduled to go live later this month.

The season of giving starts with the Advent calendar. Running from December 1 to December 31 players will receive daily random bundles from the Armoury, and can open cards each day and claim their present as well as personal quests. Upon completing these special quests players will get additional Santa’s Gift containers, premium time and doubloons as rewards. In addition to the festive calendar, Winter Trophies, a group of combat missions, will drop every week throughout December. The final reward for completing these missions will be the “New Year” permanent camouflage for Tier VIII ships. 

The long awaited full release of new US Battleships has arrived. With update 0.9.11 going live, VIII Kansas, IX Minnesota, and X Vermont will become available for all players to research. Imagery of these three vessels can be found in the assets link below. 

Update 0.9.12

To bring 2021 in with a bang, Update 0.9.12 offers players a new Dockyard, Snowflakes, free daily random bundles, two temporary festive Campaigns, new ships, and new Commanders, as well as many other rewards. 

In Update 0.9.12 players will be able to start building a new Japanese battleship, IX Hizen. This new ship is one of the variants of a super battleship project that preceded the development of the Yamato-class ships. To unlock her, players will need to progress through separate phases of the shipbuilding process, completing missions or spending doubloons to earn this iconic vessel. To maintain this theme, the new Kure port will also be added to the game, inspired by Kure harbour in Japan.

The last update of the year will feature Snowflakes with hefty holiday bonuses. 

Captains who secure a victory or earn at least 300 base XP on Tier V or above ships will be rewarded with a holiday Snowflake. Depending on the ship’s tier, you’ll receive Coal, Steel, or Santa’s Gift containers for blowing Snowflakes off your ship. In addition, all WoWS players will be given three free New Year’s Gift containers with the final update of the year.

Lastly, two New Campaigns: In Pursuit of Strasbourg and The Ships and Fates will be introduced with 0.9.12 Update. 

The first New Year temporary Campaign comprises 32 tasks in four missions. The rewards for completing the missions are unique New Year Commanders for Pan-Asian, Italian, or French ships. Completing the Campaign will reward you with VII Strasbourg, adorned in the Winter Holiday permanent camouflage. 

The second New Year temporary Campaign comprises 36 tasks in six missions. Completing the missions will reward you with researchable ships V Furutaka, V T-22, V Hawkins, V Visby, V Kotovsky, and V New York, all with unique New Year Commanders and Winter permanent camouflages, as well as Santa’s Gift containers. Both campaigns will be available until the release of Update 0.10.0.
