THE ELDER SCROLLS ONLINE SEASON TWO: ECHOES OF SKYRIM IS LIVE NOW!

Today, The Elder Scrolls Online launched Season Two: Echoes of Skyrim for PC/Mac and Xbox and PlayStation consoles. Season Two runs until January 27, 2027.

To kick off ESO’s first Skyrim-themed Season, the iconic Greymoor Chapter is now free for all players, and the Markarth DLC will arrive free on November 9. Season Two features various content drops throughout, starting with ESO’s first-ever Solo Dungeons, also available today.

In January, players can expect greater Companion Customisation and other highly requested quality-of-life updates, such as increased player home Furnishing Limits and ESO’s first-ever Minimap UI. All ESO Seasons content is free and available to all players.

Check out the Season Two trailer below.

Solo Dungeons and Greymoor Chapter free for all players today
Season Two kicks off with the arrival of one of the ESO community’s most-requested features: Solo Dungeons. Solo Dungeons will allow those who prefer to play on their own the ability to tackle some of ESO’s most challenging and compelling content at their own pace and without having to find a group. At launch, two of Tamriel’s most popular dungeons, Moon Hunter Keep and March of Sacrifices, will be available to play solo. To celebrate, both original group dungeons were made free for all ESO players earlier this month, having previously only been available to Wolfhunter DLC owners or ESO Plus members.

The Greymoor Chapter is also now free for all ESO players. The Western Skyrim zone features a compelling story that explores the dark heart of Skyrim, the famous city of Solitude, and other classic locations from The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim like Blackreach, Morthal, and the Dragon Bridge. With the 15th anniversary of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim fast approaching this November, now is the perfect time for players to revisit this legendary region of Tamriel.

Markarth DLC and Customizable Companions arrive during Season Two
On November 9, more Skyrim content goes free for all players with the Markarth DLC, alongside a Skyrim-themed Golden Pursuit campaign where players can earn rewards in return for exploring Tamriel’s wintry north.

Towards the end of Season Two, players can further customise their companions with the ability to change their companions’ helmets, hair, facial adornments, and more. Two major quality-of-life improvements will also arrive for players with the launch of ESO’s first-ever Minimap UI, and an increase to Furnishing Limits for Tamriel’s largest abodes. January will also host a Nowhere Vault-themed Golden Pursuits campaign, promising additional rewards for those venturing into Update 51’s puzzling experience.

Finally, Season Two also features classic fan-favourite events, such as the now-live Witches Festival in addition to Whitestrakes Mayhem PvP event in November and New Life Festival in December. For more information on Season Two, visit the ESO website here.

More Skyrim content comes to ESO in 2027
Season Three, launching in early 2027, will take players to a brand-new zone set in a fan-favourite region of Skyrim and introduce exciting environmental challenges and gameplay features for players never seen before in ESO. More details on Season Three will be revealed in early January.

Poppy Playtime Goes Co-Op! Escape From Playtime is Now Available in Steam Early Access

The Smiling Critters take center stage in a new co-op survival horror adventure set in the Poppy Playtime universe, available to play now on PC

LOS ANGELES, October 21, 2026 – The doors of Playtime Co. are open once again, and something sinister is waiting inside. Mob Entertainment’s Escape From Playtime, a new co-op survival horror extraction game set in the Poppy Playtime universe, is available now in Steam Early Access.

The 1-8 player canonical co-op extraction game expands the Poppy Playtime universe in unexpected ways. Set after the infamous Hour of Joy but before the events of Poppy Playtime: Chapter 1, Escape From Playtime takes players back to the factory during a previously unexplored period in the franchise’s history.

For the first time, players can experience the horrors of the unforgiving Playtime Co. factory from the perspective of the Smiling Critters, the cute-yet-disturbing toy line first introduced in Poppy Playtime: Chapter 3. Whether braving the decrepit halls alone or teaming up with friends, players must scavenge resources, evade deadly enemies, and complete increasingly dangerous assignments from a mysterious Voice promising freedom and a new home. But who is the Voice, and can it be trusted?

Watch the launch trailer:

“With Escape From Playtime, we wanted to explore a lesser-known chapter of Playtime Co.’s history and give players a completely new perspective on this world,” said Brandon James, Game Director, Mob Entertainment. “For longtime fans, there are plenty of familiar faces and lore connections to discover, but we’ve also deliberately made this an experience that newcomers can jump into and enjoy without knowing anything about Poppy Playtime. It’s a new way into the story, no matter where you’re starting from.”

For those uninitiated, Mob Entertainment has prepared a short “What You Need to Know” guide video with a brief timeline and lore overview to help new players deepen the immersive experience. Watch it here: Everything you need to know about Escape from Playtime

In Escape From Playtime, each run sends teams into a dynamically changing section of the facility to find and transport resources for a mysterious sanctuary being promised for toys who prove their loyalty and usefulness. Simple enough, except the factory is filled with rejected Playtime Co. creations stalking the halls. Players must search quickly, choose when to split up or stick together, and know when to retreat.

Along the way, players can solve puzzles, uncover clues, scavenge tools, use hiding spots and alternate routes, and turn the factory layout to their advantage. Proximity voice chat adds another risk: communication is essential, but an irresponsible whisper can bring the mission to a brutal end.

Key Features:

  • Critter Co-Op: Play solo or team up with up to 7 friends in a fight for survival inside Playtime Co. More Critters means more ground covered and more chances for something to go horribly wrong, all enabled with proximity voice chat.
  • The Voice: A mysterious Voice sends players into the facility to collect scattered parts and resources. Gather what you need, bring it back safely, and try not to ask too loudly who or what you are really working for.
  • Scavenge to Survive: Use whatever the factory gives you to stay alive. Search for tools, uncover clues, find hiding spots, create distractions, and use alternate routes to outmaneuver the rejected Playtime Co. creations stalking the halls.
  • Mini Mode: Crawl, jump, and climb through every nook and cranny of the Playtime Co. factory as a Smiling Critter and experience some of the most iconic Poppy Playtime locations through a new (smaller) set of eyes.
  • Familiar and New: It’s Playtime Co. as you know it, with a twist. The mysterious Voice seems to be altering the factory’s layout, creating procedurally generated environments that change with each run.
  • Playtime Web Portal: Track your progress and examine your hard-earned rewards through the Perm-A-Lounge computer to uncover further terrifying company secrets.

EARLY ACCESS

Escape From Playtime launches into Steam Early Access with all eight Smiling Critters available to play, including four unlocked through progression, plus expanded multiplayer support for up to eight players, thanks to community feedback during the Open Beta.

To celebrate the launch, players can also claim the Founders’ Pack free for the first 30 days, featuring exclusive alternate looks for all eight Smiling Critters and additional rewards.

Mob Entertainment plans to keep expanding Escape From Playtime through the remainder of 2026 and into 2027, adding new areas, enemies, items, cosmetics, and gameplay features. The Early Access roadmap will evolve with community feedback, letting players help shape the game’s future.

AVAILABILITY

Escape From Playtime is available in Steam Early Access for $9.99 USD, with a limited-time 10% launch discount. Players who own the free-to-play Poppy Playtime: Chapter 1 will receive an additional 10% off.

Daedalic Entertainment Continues Multiplatform Strategy With Console Versions of Co-op Hit Pratfall

More than 600,000 copies sold on Steam; PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2 versions arrive in early 2027 with full cross-play and further new features

Hamburg, Germany – October 21, 2026 – Publisher Daedalic Entertainment and Leverkusen-based developer Quad Head today announced that the successful co-op cave adventure Pratfall is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2 in early 2027. Pre-orders are planned to open in late 2026.

The partnership marks the next step in Daedalic Entertainment’s multiplatform strategy and further strengthens co-op games as one of the publisher’s core pillars. Daedalic will handle the complete console publishing program, working closely with Quad Head across porting, quality assurance, platform certification and marketing.

Originally released on Steam in April 2026, Pratfall reached 100,000 copies sold shortly after launch. The game has now sold more than 600,000 copies, making it one of the most successful German indie releases of recent years.

“Pratfall has always been at its best when people are laughing, shouting and desperately trying to save each other from a terrible fall,” said Tim Schroeder at Quad Head. “The response from the PC community surpassed everything we hoped for. Bringing the game to consoles is the natural next step, and Daedalic is the ideal partner to help us do it properly and bring players across all platforms together.”

Falling, Digging and Explosive Co-op Chaos

In Pratfall, players fall, dig and explode their way through a dangerous cave system in search of their lost dog. Along the way, they must catch falling friends, avoid traps and hazards, and contend with the deadliest force of all: gravity.

Procedurally generated biomes ensure that every expedition plays out differently, while destructible terrain, interactive objects and a generous supply of explosives create countless opportunities for creative problem-solving, unexpected disasters and memorable co-op moments.

Its immediately understandable premise, physics-driven gameplay and complete gamepad support make Pratfall a natural fit for consoles. The upcoming versions will introduce full cross-play between PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2, allowing the entire community to explore, fail and fall together. Further new features will be revealed in the coming months.

“Pratfall is one of those games whose appeal becomes clear within seconds, but whose emergent co-op chaos keeps creating stories long after,” said Carsten Fichtelmann, CEO and Founder at Daedalic Entertainment. “Quad Head has created one of the standout German indie success stories of recent years. The studio’s creativity, humor and close relationship with its community make this a perfect partnership.”

“Bringing Pratfall to consoles is exactly the kind of project our multiplatform strategy is built for,” added Jonas Hüsges, COO at Daedalic Entertainment. “It is already a proven success on PC, it fits perfectly within our co-op publishing pillar, and its accessible controls and shared physics chaos feel right at home on console.”

Pratfall will launch for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2 in early 2027. Pre-orders will open in late 2026.

With “Style Eat”, Davy not only repairs any damage his deathly body has taken, but absorbs the powers of whatever enemy he eats – werewolves, harpies, vampires, and more. With over 11 styles to devour, Davy can become the ultimate monster-munching machine!

The Killing Stone Launches in 1.0 on PC and Consoles Today

The occult horror mystery card battler from Question (The Blackout Club, The Magic Circle) is out now on Steam, Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S

Tiburon, CA – October 21, 2026 – Independent developer Question (The Blackout Club, The Magic Circle), today launched The Killing Stone, its occult horror deckbuilder, now available on Steam and Epic Games Store for PC, as well as PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. After eight months in Early Access, the full release introduces the game’s fourth and final chapter, bringing its supernatural mystery to a conclusion.

The Killing Stone 1.0 Launch Trailer:

The final chapter, The Reckoning, puts everything players have learned and earned to the ultimate test. Armed with the decks they’ve built throughout the first three chapters, players must face a series of climactic rituals that will determine the fate of the cursed Svangård family. Every bargain struck, boon gained, and bane endured leads to this final confrontation.

Since launching in Early Access in February, Question has expanded and refined The Killing Stone with new optional story content, additional questlines, combat balancing, and quality-of-life improvements informed by player feedback. The studio has also made adjustments to card decks, combat encounters, and the game’s bargaining and reward systems, further deepening the strategic choices available to players.

Set in a remote region of the 17th-century Arctic Circle, The Killing Stone challenges players to beat the Devil at his own game. As the Maven, a master of the dark arts, players must uncover the mysteries surrounding a cursed family and wager their souls against cunning demons in ritual card battles. Combining first-person exploration with a tactile, figurine-based card battler, the game challenges players to outwit their infernal opponents through strategic spellcasting, creature placement, and blood-bound bargains with lasting consequences.

The game’s intricate narrative features voice performances by Emma Gregory (Baldur’s Gate 3) and Liam O’Brien (Critical Role). For an added layer of historical immersion, players can experience the entire story in either authentic 17th-century English or modern prose, with customizable text and voiceover options.

Key Features

  • A Living, Tactile Card Battler. A ceremonial game board centered around the Fanghella, a.k.a. the Killing Stone, featuring a collection of magical creature figurines, spells, and incantations that allow for a variety of clever tactics.
  • Unique Reserve and Demonic Bargaining Systems. A novel, strategic Reserve mechanic lets players stack units and buff incantations above the battle line for later deployment. Creature placement, spellcasting, and bargaining add powerful banes and boons to your deck affecting your chances of success.
  • Occult Horror Narrative with Meaningful Choices. Play as the Maven, a master of the dark arts – as you engage family members and animal familiars in search of clues to the haunting truth behind Mariken Svangård’s death. Choices at key moments alter the ending for each character.
  • Master Infernal Contract Law. To save the family, you must win their souls through Ritual combat against Hell’s most cunning demon lords. Every contract is a cut-throat Faustian bargain, signed in blood. Forge, swap, negotiate, and battle through a series of rituals, the outcome of which are permanent banes (or boons) carried to your final reckoning.
  • Dual-Language Storytelling with Acclaimed Voice Talent. Play the full story in either authentic 17th Century English or modern prose, with customizable text and voiceover options for either version. Featuring voice performances by Emma Gregory (Baldur’s Gate 3) and Liam O’Brien (Critical Role).

The Killing Stone is available now on PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, as well as PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, priced at $19.99. For more information, visit The Killing Stone Steam page, or follow Question on Bluesky, Instagram, and X.

UNCOVER THE SECRETS BEHIND THE FIVE CURSES IN KOEI TECMO’S THE APOTHECARY DIARIES: THE FALSE IMPERIAL BROTHER, RELEASING 18TH MARCH 2027!

New gameplay details have been revealed to celebrate the start of pre-orders!

Hertfordshire, 21st October 2026 – Today, KOEI TECMO Europe and developer Gust, in collaboration with TOHO Games Co, Ltd., announced that The Apothecary Diaries: The False Imperial Brother will be releasing on 18th March 2027. In the first-ever console game adaptation of the popular franchise The Apothecary Diaries, fans will meet new characters and have the chance to play as Jinshi and Maomao (Cat) as they delve deeper into the new exclusive story that awaits them. The Apothecary Diaries: The False Imperial Brother is currently in development for Nintendo Switch™ 2, Nintendo Switch™ PlayStation®5, and PC Steam®.

In The Apothecary Diaries: The False Imperial Brother, players follow Maomao as they attempt to unravel the secrets of the Five Mysteries and solve the Five Curses. As the story unfolds, Maomao will encounter a familiar cast of characters alongside brand-new faces, conceived by series author Hyuganatsu, including Yanxi, a high-ranking official in the rear palace’s Bureau of Court Etiquette, known for her accurate fortune-telling skills; Guanyu, a travelling actor; and Chenhan, a regular patron of the Verdigris House, targeted by baseless accusations and unable to defend himself effectively. In addition, Maomao will interact with characters by fulfilling quests and delivering requested items, such as medicine, which will increase her trust with each character, which will unlock special side stories for fans to enjoy and discover more about their favourite characters.

Whilst players will mainly play as Maomao, they will also be able to sometimes explore the rear palace as Jinshi and Maomao (Cat), allowing them to obtain information that is inaccessible to human Maomao. As the story unfolds, players will also be able to play as the Quack Doctor, and Luomen whilst concocting medicines, thereby affecting the difficulty of the associated mini-games. Finally, if fans fulfil certain conditions in each chapter, they will unlock Completion Stamps which, once all have been unlocked, will reward them with special illustrations.

Everyone who purchases a physical or digital copy of the game before 31st March 2027 will receive the “Apothecary’s Starter Kit and Modest Accessory Pack” as an early purchase bonus. Cozy Game Restoration Surpasses 400,000 Steam Wishlists Ahead of November 4th Launch

The satisfying indie hit approaches its launch with over 200 collectible game variants to restore and 300 quests to complete

Oct 21, 2026 – Melbourne, Australia – With its November 4 release fast approaching, Melbourne-based solo indie developer Parasol Corp is preparing to welcome players into the nostalgic world of Cozy Game Restoration, launching on Windows and Mac via Steam for $14.99 USD.

Check out the satisfying gameplay in the latest video:

The upcoming restoration and collection game has already amassed over 400,000 Steam wishlists ahead of launch. Interest has built throughout the year, with 149,745 players signing up for its early May playtest, followed by an impressive showing at June’s Steam Next Fest. The game ranked among the top 24 most-played demos during the event, attracting 171,679 demo downloads.

In Cozy Game Restoration, players can experience the satisfaction of bringing old, forgotten video games back to life. Remove years of dust, grime, stickers, scratches, and adhesive residue as you carefully clean and restore a growing collection of over 200 retro-inspired games, with more added regularly. Inspired by games from the 1980s through the early 2000s, each discovery celebrates the nostalgia of physical game collections, second-hand finds, and classic gaming history.

Open mystery parcels to uncover forgotten games in varying conditions, with different artwork, rarities, and regional variants. Players can build their collection across six unique retro-inspired platforms, collecting 108 distinct games in both PAL and NTSC variants, with five rarity levels to discover. Some games even include notes left by previous owners, offering glimpses into the stories behind each second-hand find.

Beyond restoring and collecting games, players can complete 300 quests at launch, including collection and cleaning challenges that unlock decorations and furniture. These rewards let players personalize their space, gradually turning their workspace into a celebration of retro gaming.

Alongside its extensive collection of fictional retro titles, Cozy Game Restoration features collaborations with real indie games, including Abiotic Factor and CONSCRIPT, with more surprise partnerships still to be revealed.

Players can also look forward to plenty of hidden secrets and Easter eggs throughout the game, including a unique Grand Theft Auto-inspired game celebrating GTA 6, alongside The Legend of Zelda-inspired cartridges celebrating the remake of Ocarina of Time.

Melbourne-based solo developer Adam Stormhardt developed Cozy Game Restoration independently, and it was recently showcased at PAX Aus 2026 as part of the Aus Indie Showcase and at ACMI’s Games Week Showcase, giving attendees a chance to play the game ahead of its release. The game’s growing popularity is particularly impressive for a solo-developed title self-published without publisher backing.

Cozy Game Restoration launches November 4, 2026, on Windows and Mac via Steam for $14.99 USD, with localization available in 19 languages. The game is designed with the Steam Deck in mind.
