Battle of Berlin Closed Beta Testing Now Available for Enlisted Players

Soviet and German troops will engage in city battles using late WW2 weapons and gear

Gaijin Entertainment and Darkflow Software announce that WW2 online shooter Enlisted players can now join the Battle of Berlin campaign closed beta. This is the third campaign in the game that already features Battle of Moscow and Invasion of Normandy.

In Battle for Berlin players will experience the intensity of dense city fighting that occurred during the last days of World War II, such as the assault on the Reich Chancellery, crossing of the Moltke Bridge, and suppressing resistance at the Kroll-Opera. Soviet and German troops use weaponry and vehicles that are typical for the late phase of the war, like the T-34-85 and Panther G tanks, Il-2-37 and Me 410 aircraft, and firearms like PPS-43, M30 Luftwaffe drilling, DT-29, Panzerfaust 100. This campaign also features rifles equipped with bayonet knives, that are perfect for close combat fans.

The Battle of Berlin closed beta is available to those who purchased the special “Battle of Berlin” Bundle. The testing is divided into two stages. Initially, players will only use predefined sets of squads without any upgrade options. This will allow the developers to test and polish the campaign missions. The second stage will unlock the progression system to test it as well. When the whole Berlin CBT is finished, the campaign will become available to everyone for free, as did the Battle of Moscow and Invasion of Normandy campaigns. There will be no wipe of any player progress they receive in the second phase of the beta.

The Berlin Early Access Bundle includes a premium squad of the 336th Rifle Regiment in the 120th Guards Rifle Division of the Red Army, PPD-40 DSZ submachine gun, a premium squad of the 652nd Grenadier Regiment in the Infantry Division “Berlin” of the Wehrmacht, MP 40/1 submachine gun and premium currency.

Explore a sublime, hostile alien world in sci-fi metroidvania Anew: The Distant Light

Discover game-changing equipment, weapons, and vehicles; reprogram your space suit; upgrade your home ship; and save a dying Earth

April 27th, 2021 – Resonator Interactive is proud to reveal that its epic sci-fi metroidvania adventure Anew: The Distant Light is coming to PC in 2021. Awake on a strange moon, light years from home, tame an unexplored world and solve the mystery of your missing co-pilot. With a combat-ready space suit and a powerful home ship, realize your full potential and discover yourself.

Each biome of Anew is hand-crafted with its own unique life forms, puzzles, and surprises. Traverse this alien land by climbing, swimming, jetpacking, skating, swinging, and jumping across planetoids with their own gravity. Lay waste to deadly enemies by piloting powerful vehicles like a giant mech, dune buggy, rocket, and flying saucer. Survive the burning alien sun, which creates an organic day/night cycle with ever-changing hazards, enemies, and rewards.

As you brave this mysterious, interconnected world, you’ll have to earn new equipment through skillful combat and environmental puzzle solving. Customize your gear, pilot arcane vehicles, and repair your powerful home ship for the ultimate advantage. Along the way you’ll be treated to a gorgeous original score by award-winning composer Wilbert Roget II (Call of Duty: WWII, Mortal Kombat 11, Destiny 2: Forsaken, Star Wars: The Old Republic, and Dead Island 2).

Anew has been a dream project to work on,” said Resonator co-founder and art director Jeff Spoonhower. “I’ve had the freedom to create an original sci-fi world from the ground up with an intensely personal visual style and emotional tone. We worked hard to ensure that each and every area of the game is unique, beautiful, and fun to explore and discover. I’m excited for players to experience the surreal story of Anew, which is communicated through visual storytelling techniques, music, and sound design during live gameplay, rather than the traditional use of dialogue and text. I think players are really going to enjoy our immersive game world.”

“Since the original Metroid and Super Metroid, I’ve been thinking about making a game like this,” said Resonator co-founder and game director Steve Copeland. “Moody pathfinder games with deep mechanics often inspire me–Hollow Knight, Spelunky, Batman: Arkham… [referring to metroidvania genre] I prefer not to have inventory management chores or worry about item stats for this kind of game. So, we’re much more Metroid than Castlevania–every single piece of equipment is a unique game-changer… I’ve always wanted to create a game like Anew: The Distant Light and Resonator was formed specifically to make this game. We’ve kept it indie and kept the team small to make the game how we wanted.”

About Song of Horror

Song of Horror is a cinematic third-person horror adventure focusing on a terrifying narrative inspired by the literary works of Poe, Lovecraft and M.R. James.

Famed writer Sebastian P. Husher has gone missing, along with his entire family. His editor, worried by the loss of contact, sends an assistant to Husher’s home to check on his well being. He never returns. These disappearances spark a series of terrifying events, revealing a dark entity known only as The Presence that seems to be at the centre of the horror that unfolds.

Features

  • Song of Horror offers a truly dynamic terror experience: its antagonist, the supernatural entity known only as The Presence, is controlled by an advanced AI (Artificial Intelligence) that adapts to your actions and decisions.
  • Experience unbearable fear as this otherworldly being responds to your way of playing and hunts you down in unexpected ways, offering a unique experience to every player and gameplay where tension builds up naturally instead of coming from scripted sequences.
  • As a player, you will live this story through the eyes of a varied set of characters related to the story in their own way. Every character is different, and brings their unique point of view to the investigation, allowing them to approach clues and items differently.
  • Their actions and decisions will shape the world: some of them will know more or less of certain aspects of the story; some will be more effective against supernatural manifestations, but all of them can die if the Presence gets to them – and death is permanent. If they die, you will have to pick the story up with another one, and continue the investigation so their deaths are not in vain.
  • A mysterious antique shop, a forgotten abbey, an abandoned mental hospital… Each location in Song of Horror is inspired by the classics of the genre. Explore and investigate these haunted places to gather clues and items that will help you solve challenging puzzles while enduring the agonizing tension of the game’s atmosphere.

The boxed Deluxe Edition of Song of Horror will be available across European territories for PlayStation 4 this summer.  For more information, please visit www.meridiem-games.com/en
