Quickplay Raids, Fashion Templates, and Legendary Rewards Make a Splash in the First Major Update for the Sixth Expansion

BELLEVUE, WA – February 3, 2026 – Today ArenaNet® released the Quarterly Update: Raids & Wardrobe for Guild Wars 2®: Visions of Eternity^TM, the sixth and latest expansion to the award-winning and critically acclaimed MMORPG Guild Wars 2. This latest update brings new content to the expansion in the form of the new raid, Guardian’s Glade, and a collection to acquire the new legendary ring Endless Sumer. It also brings a number of feature updates to all players: a new Quickplay mode for raid encounters, a raid system revamp, the addition of Fashion Templates, and a seasonal refresh for the Wizard’s Vault.

“This update is about making some of Guild Wars 2’s most played systems better across the board,” said Josh Davis, Game Director. “By unifying raids and strikes, refreshing the interface, updating rewards, and introducing quickplay and leaderboards, we’re creating a more cohesive and approachable endgame experience. At the same time, Fashion Templates give players more freedom to express themselves, which has always been a core part of how people engage with the game.”

• New Raid: Squads of 10 players can prove their mettle against one of the Guardians of Castora in the newest raid encounter, Guardian’s Glade. This will be followed in three weeks by an additional challenge mode version of the same encounter. 
• Raid Quickplay: Building on the success of the Fractals of the Mists quickplay system that debuted in 2025, raid quickplay allows players to queue up to be matched with nine other players to challenge one of several pre-selected raid encounters. In a blog ahead of the release, ArenaNet previewed details of the quickplay mode. 
• Raid System Refresh: An overhaul to the raid system makes the feature easier to access and navigate while introducing new achievements and rewards. Single-boss encounters previously known as “Strike Missions” have been reworked into the raid system as raid encounters, and rewards have been updated to unify the currency used for rewards across raid wings and encounters. New achievements like the epic “Raid God” achievement provide rewards for players at all stages of their raiding journeys. Check out the video below to learn more. 
• Fashion Templates: This new feature allows players to save cosmetic appearances for their armor, outfit, weapons, backpacks, and dyes to templates which can then be swapped between on the fly. All players have access to two free template slots by default. To celebrate the launch of this new feature, players have received an in-game mail with free Transmutation Charges to experiment with the system.
• Wizard’s Vault & Rewards: A new set of special objectives are available in the Wizard’s Vault, and its rewards have been refreshed for a new season. In addition, the Endless Summer legendary ring, which surrounds players with effects of a sandy beach and splashing water, is available for acquisition. And the raid system update is accompanied by new rewards, including the first-ever raid-exclusive mount, a Dhuum-themed skyscale skin.
• Lunar New Year: Today’s release also begins the Lunar New Year festival with new rewards, featuring a boot armor skin that grants characters the appearance of having hooves. Past festivals have awarded armor skins allowing players to don avian or draconic faces and serpentine tails, opening up new types of choices for how their characters present in the world.  

ArenaNet plans to continue release additional content for Visions of Eternity at no extra charge to players in 2026, including new story chapters, various quality of life enhancements, additional legendary gear to earn, new explorable maps, and additional challenging instanced content. Visions of Eternity is available on Steam and through the official Guild Wars 2 site for $24.99. Expansion customers will immediately receive access to all of the launch content as well as today’s release.

The Murder Mystery Action Game is Free to Play One Last Time

SYDNEY (Feb. 4, 2026) – SQUARE ENIX announced that KILLER INN, the thrilling multiplayer murder mystery action game, will host a “Free Stay Weekend,” allowing players one last chance to jump into the game for free ahead of its Early Access launch on Feb. 12 at 5:00 p.m. GMT / Feb 13 at 4:00am AEDT. Those looking to get in on the fun can jump into the game from Friday, Feb. 6 at 10:00 p.m. GMT / Saturday, Feb. 7 at 9:00am AEDT until Monday, Feb. 9 at 09:59 p.m. GMT / Tuesday, Feb. 10 at 8:59am AEDT on Steam. Everyone who participates in the Free Stay Weekend, as well as any of the previous Closed Beta Tests, will receive a special weapon skin and nameplate banner* upon the release of Early Access.

To kick off the Free Stay Weekend, players are also encouraged to tune into a live developer talk hosted through the official KILLER INN Discord channel, which will be held on Friday, Feb. 6, at 03:00 a.m. GMT / 2:00 p.m. AEDT.

From the Start of Early Access, Lambs and Wolves from around the world can look forward to experiencing the following content:

• Playable Characters – Through gameplay, players can unlock a total of 27 playable characters, each with two unique abilities. Players can also instantly unlock characters through an optional in-game purchase.

• Four Game Modes – Players can select one of the following game modes to play:
  • Tutorial: this guided mode will walk players through the game’s essential rules and game flow, preparing them to dive into the action
  • Training: this single player mode enables players to run freely around the game maps and familiarize themselves with the controls
  • Casual: participate in thrilling matches with a total of 24 players
  • Custom: play with a specific group of players or friends (recommended for 8-9 players or more)
• Maps – Two maps will be available: Lunum Wing and Solarium Wing

As KILLER INN enters the Early Access stage of its development, the development team will actively seek player input to further refine the game ahead of its official release. From the start of Early Access, players can purchase one of the following versions of the game on Steam:

In KILLER INN, 24 players are invited to a mysterious castle by a shadowy organization known as Astra to compete to win unfathomable riches. They will be randomly and secretly assigned one of two roles: Wolves, whose mission is to hunt and kill, and Lambs, who must fight back and survive the mayhem or escape the castle. Players must use every weapon, tool and clue in their arsenal to survive and win. With the killers hiding in plain sight, players will need to question everything—even their closest allies. By the end of the night, all players must kill, be killed, or escape the madness.

The City States: Medieval demo is live now on Steam, offering a guided first look at a deep medieval strategy experience. Developed by Reverie World Studios and published in partnership with indie.io, the demo invites players to step into a world shaped by ambition, influence, and long-term decision-making.

City States: Medieval is a grand strategy game where power is earned through trade, diplomacy, and carefully chosen military campaigns. Players guide ambitious medieval city-states across a living world, managing economic networks, navigating shifting alliances, and responding to threats both at home and abroad.

Central to every decision is a single Hero,  the player’s leader and strategic anchor. This Hero doesn’t simply provide passive bonuses; their physical presence determines how the game is played. When stationed in a city, players gain direct real-time control, enabling rapid RTS-style construction, hands-on city defense, and active command of armies. When the Hero leaves, the city continues to function on the world map, but progress slows, and conflicts are resolved at a higher strategic level.

This creates a constant strategic push and pull for players. Keeping the Hero at home strengthens infrastructure and defenses, while sending them into the wider world opens expansion opportunities. As the Hero gains levels and new abilities, their influence over the fate of the city-state grows, deepening the long-term strategy and forcing players to reassess where their leader is needed most.

Demo Features:

The demo is taken directly from one of the game’s three full campaigns, placing players in the opening chapter of the Republic of Genoa storyline, offering players 3.5–4 hours of meaningful progression. Over the course of play, players will travel across the medieval world — from the Holy Land to Italy — encountering distinct cultures, cities, and political landscapes while learning how economic networks, political relationships, and military conflicts interconnect. 

Players are given room to experiment and make long-term decisions, and experience how trade, diplomacy, and warfare shape the rise of a city-state over time. In the finished game, this campaign spans 25–30 hours, making the demo a substantial introduction to the systems and pacing of the full experience.
