STOCKHOLM – August 31, 2021 – Paradox Interactive and Abstraction announced Below & Beyond, the first premium expansion for Surviving Mars since Green Planet’s launch in May 2019. Below & Beyond enhances colony management by going below the surface and beyond the horizon to build underground bases, mine asteroids, and gather rare resources.
Below & Beyond pushes the limits of what is possible on the Red Planet. Expand horizons with additional buildings, more resources, and a cavernous world full of mysteries. Players can tunnel beneath the surface and construct subterranean bases below the colony or in nearby underground caves. Enterprising players can attach rocket-propelled buildings to passing asteroids and mine exotic resources, but you’ll need to make it back to the Red Planet’s surface before the asteroid leaves orbit or else you lose your stuff and your colonists.
Key Features
Back to the Bases – Expand your colony into caves and lava tubes under the surface. Players can use existing structures, or underground-specific buildings to build a base for exploration. Expand with caution, potential cave-ins can destroy everything.
Mine Your Own Business – Players can now go below the surface and beyond the red planet for resource mining. Construct special rocket-propelled buildings to mine resources, including exotic minerals and Data Samples, on passing asteroids. Don’t stick around too long or else the Asteroid will drift away with your stuff!
Branching Paths – The Recon and Expansion research tree unlock additional buildings, vehicles, upgrades, and locales. They will also unlock asteroid mining and tunnel colonization.
“When we started planning out what was next for Surviving Mars, we really wanted to dive deep into the parts of the Red Planet we had not already explored. We know we had to come out swinging and Surviving Mars: Below & Beyond expands gameplay in a meaningful way,” says Magnus Lysell, Product Manager for Surviving Mars at Paradox Interactive. ”The possibilities are endless and we’re eager to continue exploring the Red Planet with our players.”

For all the courageous captains, three Arena seasons with active Arms Races mechanic are the way to go. The prizes are available to all participants, with better rewards for higher placements on the leaderboard. Speaking of competitive battles, significant balance changes have been implemented. Season five concludes this chronicle’s story, wrapping up the dark tale of personal horror and inhuman conspiracy across nine episodes, premiering Friday, September 3 at 7:00 PM Pacific / 10:00 PM Eastern on the World of Darkness Twitch channel. After their Twitch debut, episodes will be uploaded to the World of Darkness YouTube channel for fans who missed the live broadcast.
“One of the first, and longest-running, actual-play shows on Twitch, LA By Night is a fan-favorite for the Vampire: The Masquerade vamily,” Jason Carl, Brand Marketing Manager for World of Darkness and Storyteller for LA By Night, said. “Season five is our most ambitious story yet and the cast roleplays a passionate tale that will resonate in your very blood. While this marks the end of our current chronicle, it is not the end of LA By Night.”
LA By Night is the official actual-play show from World of Darkness using the Vampire: The Masquerade role-playing game system. The show follows a coterie, or group of vampires, as they struggle to survive the terrors of the Los Angeles night and uncover the city’s hidden secrets. Jason Carl returns as the show’s signature Storyteller, the Game Master who guides the coterie through their insidious tale of macabre affairs. Things rarely go as planned for the group of vampires; however, as the story weaves into unexpected, and unscripted, places.LA By Night features a celebrity cast of role-players, including Erika Ishii, known for their work as Valkyrie in Apex Legends and Lumu in Halo Infinite, B. Dave Walters who fans may recognize from Black Dice Society, and many more. In addition to the returning cast, season five sees some unexpected new faces who play characters with their own hidden agendas.
The LA By Night cast includes:
Erika Ishii as Annabelle: Erika Ishii (she/they) is an actor known primarily for their voiceover work in video games and animation, including roles in Apex Legends, Halo Infinite, Destiny 2 and more.

Alexander Ward as Jasper: Alexander Ward is an actor who specializes in monsters and other inhuman characters. His work includes Westworld, American Horror Story, SpongeBob SquarePants, Annabelle Comes Home and Army of the Dead.

X – A member of the Malkavian clan, X experiences undeath through his gift of second sight. He sees premonitions, omens, signs and portents everywhere, but his warnings are often difficult to understand. His outlook has grown darker as he seeks revenge on powerful Kindred who have done him wrong.
Josephine McAdam as Eva: Josephine McAdam’s work can be seen in film, TV & web-series. Some of her roles include Tower, (Emmy award winner & Criterion film), The Mortuary Collection, Scare Package, Hard Reset (Lumiere award winner) and HBO’s The Leftovers season 2.

Special guest appearances, along with their characters, will be revealed throughout the show’s release. Fans who want to stay up-to-date on casting can follow the World of Darkness Twitter where LA By Night updates are posted regularly.

Brand-new trailer reveals the return of a beloved character and teases release window in December 2021
Hamburg/Munich, Germany, August 31st, 2021 – Publisher Daedalic Entertainment and developer Mimimi Games revealed a first gameplay trailer for Aiko’s Choice, the long-awaited standalone expansion for the acclaimed real-time tactics game Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun. Aiko’s Choice will be released in December 2021, and once again send players to Edo Japan, where they join the kunoichi adept Aiko and her companions in her quest to quiet the ghosts of her past.
Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun – Aiko´s Choice focuses on one of the main game’s protagonists: the kunoichi adept Aiko. She is a master of camouflage and distracts enemies disguised as a geisha. While Aiko was certain that she left her old life behind, her former sensei, the cunning spymaster Lady Chiyo, reappears from the shadows to challenge her. Together with her friends, a group of deadly assassins, she sets out to hunt down the ghosts of her past.
The expansion features three full-fledged main missions, set in brand-new environments, and three shorter interlude missions.
Like in the main game, you take control of a team of lethal specialists, move in the shadows and sneak past dozens of enemies. Choose your approach wisely when infiltrating hidden forest camps or lively Edo-period towns. Set traps, poison and distract your opponents – or avoid enemy contact altogether. Carefully plan your every move and come up with your own ingenious tactics to vanquish enemies and complete each of the challenging missions to uncover Aiko´s past.
Features:
Return to the beautiful world of Shadow Tactics set in Japan in the early Edo period.
Rejoin your favorite characters for one final adventure set within the story of the main game Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun.
Experience a previously untold tale centered around the kunoichi adept Aiko, who has to face a vicious enemy connected to her past.
Explore three full-fledged main missions, located in brand-new environments, and three shorter interlude missions.
The expansion includes all the features of the main game:
Play a team of completely different characters with their own unique skill sets.
Synchronize your team’s actions to strike down your enemies at once with the “Shadow Mode” feature.
Choose between non-lethal or deadly stealth attacks.
Find dozens of ways to take out or sneak past your opponents the way you want.
Choose from three difficulty levels to match your skill.
Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun – Aiko’s Choice is set to release on PC in December 2021. Please visit the official Steam page for more information. A copy of the main game is not required to play this standalone expansion but it is recommended to experience the first missions of the main game before diving into Aiko´s Choice.
