Square Enix Presents E3 | Life is Strange True Colors

DECK NINE UNVEILS ILLUMINATING DETAILS OF LIFE IS STRANGE: TRUE COLORS’ PSYCHIC POWER OF EMPATHY DURING SQUARE ENIX PRESENTS’ E3 SHOW

Psychic Power of Empathy Delivers a Colorful Way for Players to Unravel the Supernatural Mystery in All-New Narrative Adventure

SYDNEY (June 14, 2021) – Today Life is Strange fans across the globe were given a deep dive look at the supernatural power that players will control in the award-winning series’ next major entry, Life is Strange: True Colors. The details were shared in the company’s SQUARE ENIX PRESENTS show, which aired during E3 2021. Developed by Deck Nine Games, the studio behind Life is Strange: Before the Storm, in collaboration with Square Enix External Studios, Life is Strange: True Colors introduces players to Alex Chen, an all-new protagonist who will use her psychic power of empathy to solve a mystery that will make her question everyone and everything she’s come to know in the quaint small town of Haven Springs.

Watch the Life is Strange: True Colors – Power and Consequence video here:

In March, the latest entry in the Life is Strange series was revealed: Life is Strange: True Colors, a small-town supernatural mystery.

Brought to life through full performance capture by rising talent Erika Mori, players will navigate Haven Springs as Alex Chen, a young woman who has long suppressed her ‘curse’: the psychic power of Empathy, a supernatural ability that allows her to experience, absorb and influence the strong emotions of others – which she sees as blazing, colored auras.

When her brother dies, in a suspicious accident, Alex must at last embrace her volatile power to find the truth, and uncover the dark secrets buried by a small town. Alex Chen’s journey, power and future are all fully under the player’s control.

The presentation gave more insight into the visuals, gameplay, and narrative impact of Alex’s psychic power of Empathy, showing how she and the player will make choices and interact with the citizens of Haven Springs, both through use of the power during exploration, and in memorable story-driven moments that present the player with complex decisions only they – using Alex’s power – can resolve.

The psychic power of Empathy affects every interaction and relationship Alex has in the game and is fully under the players control. Use it to reveal the secrets of Haven Springs, the hidden facets of Alex’s past, and the future of her journey to find a place to call home.

Square Enix Presents E3 | Hitman Sniper The Shadows

SQUARE ENIX MONTRÉAL PREMIERES HITMAN SNIPER: THE SHADOWS AT SQUARE ENIX PRESENTS

Makers of the Acclaimed Hitman Sniper Franchise Debut Original Story, New Characters, & Official Title for Their New Mobile Game (formerly “Project Hitman Sniper Assassins”)

MONTRÉAL (June 13, 2021) — Square Enix Montréal™, the award-winning studio behind Hitman Sniper®, and the GO® series, premiered today the announcement trailer and official title of the studio’s new Hitman Sniper mobile game, Hitman Sniper: The Shadows (formerly Project Hitman Sniper Assassins) at SQUARE ENIX PRESENTS E3 showcase.

Watch the trailer below:

Hitman Sniper: The Shadows introduces a wholly original story set in the Hitman Universe. The game focuses on events following the disappearance of Agent 47 and follows the story of The Shadows, a group of highly skilled snipers – Soji, Kiya, Kolzak, Knight, and Stone – within the hidden world of assassination, where a new criminal network threatens global stability. Diana Burwood and the International Contract Agency (ICA) activate Initiative 426, aka The Shadows, to eliminate this threat.

Players must be meticulous, creative, and untraceable. They must strike in secret, manipulate their enemies, and use the environment to their advantage to take down high-level international targets, build their reputation and evolve into their own version of The Shadows.

“While Hitman Sniper: The Shadows builds on the fundamentals of Hitman Sniper, it is not a sequel to that experience and doesn’t share the same fictional universe. Instead, Hitman Sniper: The Shadows takes the franchise to a whole new level and experience, in terms of story, characters, and gameplay,” said Dominic Allaire, executive producer at Square Enix Montréal.

“We were given an amazing opportunity to extend the Hitman universe, not only by delivering a fresh take on the world, but also a cast of new playable characters,” said Fahad Khan, lead game designer at Square Enix Montréal. “Our new protagonistsall have unique backstories and different styles that could turn into player style, amplifying their play experience, creativity and strategic choices when approaching a contract.”

Hitman Sniper: The Shadows is a free-to-play game set to be released in 2021 on iOS and Android. More exciting updates will be revealed later this year.

Australian developer Alta brings expansive co-op game A Township Tale to standalone Oculus Quest, untethering players to explore a wide world in a new VR horizon.

SYDNEY — June 12, 2021 — Answering the dreams of fans worldwide, indie developer Alta today debuted a new trailer for the long-awaited Oculus Quest version of virtual RPG A Township Tale, launching July 15, 2021 for $9.99USD.  A Township Tale will be compatible with both Oculus Quest 1 and 2, with players able to buy the game and receive their own server along with 1,000 Talems (in-game currency) to purchase additional cosmetic items for their characters.

“From the moment the Quest was announced, the requests from fans started to roll in for a dedicated version of our game, even though the thought of delivering a world as expansive as A Township Tale to a standalone device seemed crazy,” said Boramy Unn, game director, Alta. “We began the process last year, and now on July 15 we’ll be launching A Township Tale on Oculus Quest, bringing to life a fantasy we’ve had since we were children: To truly embody the RPG characters we play in a fantastical world.”

Dark Psychological Thriller Martha Is Dead Reveals Brand New E3 Trailer ‘Tale of The White Lady’

Wired Productions and LKA Lift the Lid on Revolutionary Soundtrack Recorded Underwater

Watford, UK, June 12th, 2021: ‘The White Lady’, the spirit of a murdered, tortured soul whose one goal is to seek a moment’s relief by dragging others into the water to suffer the same fate…

Video games publisher, Wired Productions and leading Italian studio, LKA, today lift the lid on a brand new trailer for forthcoming first-person psychological thriller Martha Is Dead, titled ‘Tale of The White Lady’.

This story trailer depicts the beautiful relationship between Giulia and her Nanny, and the loving way which the child cajoles the nanny in order to tell the tale of ‘The White Lady’ – a drowned maiden, murdered in a fit of jealousy by her lover who now stalks the shores of the lake where she suffered in her final moments, looking to drag others towards a similar demise.

What makes this trailer even more chilling: This particularly savage story is based on a real-life Italian legend, passed down from one generation to the next in much the same manner as in the trailer.

Serving as the latest reveal ahead of the 2021 launch of Martha Is Dead on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, Wired Productions and LKA also revealed play will be accompanied by a progressive, haunting soundtrack, in part from Danish group Between Music, with music created by performers playing custom made instruments whilst the band is completely submerged underwater – a suitably sodden setting for Martha Is Dead. To sample the sonic delights of a live performance, watch the video online:

It’s a process that delivers a powerful yet dark composition and a truly unique score – one bolstered further by the appearance of talented Italian composer Francesca Messina – AKA Femina Ridens – whose tracks feature a vintage style that compliments Martha Is Dead’s 1940s setting – and Aseptic Void, who also composed for the critically acclaimed The Town of Light.

We’re excited to be able to reveal more and more of Martha is Dead as we head towards launch, with this latest trailer helping to set the tone for what’s to come,” offers Luca Dalco, Founder & Director, LKA. “The soundtrack is also incredibly important when it comes to supporting play with the right atmosphere, and we can’t wait for gamers to engage all of their senses with play.”

Built in Unreal® Engine 4, Martha is Dead combines real-world locations, working in links to historical events, superstition, folklore, and deep psychological distress.

Martha is Dead will launch in 2021 for PC, PlayStation 4 & PlayStation 5 and the Xbox family of devices. Players can add the title to their Steam Wishlist here.
