Button City Inserts Coin into PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, Steam in Q3 2021

PlayStation 4, Xbox One Follow at Later Date

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – 12 June 2021 – As announced today in the Wholesome Games showcase, Button City, an adorably colorful narrative-driven adventure about friendship and community from developer Subliminal Gaming, will bring the fight against evil corporations to PlayStation 5™, PlayStation 4™, Xbox Series X|S™, Xbox One™, and Nintendo Switch™ thanks to a partnership with WINGS Interactive.

The PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch versions will launch simultaneously with the previously announced Steam for Windows PC and Mac in Q3 2021. PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will join the arcade community at a later date to be announced.

Welcome to Button City, a charming pastel town filled with lovable anthropomorphic animals who always put their community’s well-being first. Fennel, the new fox kit in town, has discovered the local arcade and its hot 4v4 action game Gobabots. After joining the second place Gobabots team to help them climb to the top and win the coveted Golden Gobabot prize, Fennel finally feels at home… only to learn greedy businesscat Peppermint Pepperbottom wants to rob the local kids of their hangout.

Band together with friends and rivals alike. Sell lemonade to raise money, fill the arcade with Halloween decorations to spook the corporate fatcat, put together a robot to chase him out of town, and other ridiculous plans in the pursuit of saving the cherished arcade. Take on side quests for cute animal friends, solve puzzles to unlock new ways of standing up to Pepperbottom, or take a break to play Gobabots as well as other arcade dance and racing minigames.

“The heart of an arcade is the community,” said Ryan Woodward, Lead Programmer, Subliminal Gaming. “We wanted to capture all those aspects to complement what is ultimately a story of belonging and friendship. We’re grateful to WINGS for helping us expand to consoles so friends can share the Button City experience together no matter what platforms they own.”

Button City T-shirts, enamel pins, and stickers will go on sale via The Yetee on June 16. A track from the game also contributes to the cozy atmosphere of the Slice of Life: Songs from Wholesome Games album.

Subliminal Gaming counts among the first batch of titles selected for funding by WINGS Interactive, an investment fund focused on indie games from studios with women and marginalized genders as prominent members of development teams.

Button City will be available for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and Steam for PC and Mac in Q3 2021. It will support English, French, German, Spanish, and Japanese. Kitsune Tails’ Release Blooms In Q1 2022 on Nintendo Switch

Kitsune Tails’ Release Blooms In Q1 2022 on Nintendo Switch

Flowers Alongside Previously Announced PlayStation 5™, PlayStation 4™, Windows PC, Linux

SAN FRANCISCO – 12 June 2021 – As announced today at Guerrilla Collective, platformer Kitsune Tails, styled after beloved classics steeped in Japanese mythology and diverse relationships from developer Kitsune Games in collaboration with MidBoss™ and published for consoles by Ratalaika Games, will blossom on Nintendo Switch™ in Q1 2022.

This follow-up to Super Bernie World, which has more than 300,000 downloads across Steam and itch.io, will launch simultaneously with the previously announced PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Steam and itch.io versions on Windows and Linux.

A new trailer debuts footage of the earth-element rice farmer and snow fox outfits’ special abilities in action. Also making its first appearance, the protagonist’s weak yet adorable fox form serves as one last chance at survival before her death.

Run, jump, and drill into enemies across five 8-bit worlds inspired by Japanese mythology. Master elemental abilities hidden in cute outfits like an earthy rice farmer wielding a powerful jump attack and a snow fox freezing enemies to make new platforms. Power up with stolen skills like a giant rideable boot or an antique samurai spear. Revisit levels with newfound abilities for secrets and side quests to unlock the best ending for Kitsune Tails’ queer romance.

Yuzu begins her quest to prove to her kitsune clan, her extended family of fox-people, that her human side won’t stop her from faithfully serving as a divine messenger for the goddess Inari. However, the friendly healer Akko saves the half-kitsune hero from a mishap on her first adventure, planting the seed for a budding lesbian romance with Yuzu… and creating a jealous rival in Yuzu’s childhood friend and member of the kitsune nobility, Kiri.

“Love takes many forms, but one of the things that makes love special is it can be a vehicle for self-actualization,” said Emma ‘Eniko’ Maassen, Kitsune Games founder. “Players will need to master outfits and abilities to find all the hidden story content and unlock the best ending, and along the way they’ll explore the relationships between Yuzu, Akko, and Kiri and watch the three women grow into better versions of themselves.”

Sign up at the Kitsune Tails Kickstarter page to get notified when the campaign goes live in Q4 2021. Kitsune Tails will release on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4 as well as Windows PC and Linux via Steam and itch.io in Q1 2022 in English, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian and Japanese.

Cambridge, UK (13/06/21) – Frontier Foundry, the games label of Frontier Developments plc (AIM: FDEV) today announced its publishing partnership with Swiss based development team, Okomotive, on their next title, FAR: Changing Tides. The announce trailer is available here: (link). The game can be wishlisted on Steam here.

Swapping sand dunes for sea waves, FAR: Changing Tides expands on the inhospitable world created by developers, Okomotive, in their multi award-winning debut title, FAR: Lone Sails. Finding an abandoned ship, the journey to safety will take players across the horizon in a desperate bid for freedom as Toe seeks answers about what happened to their home.

Okomotive Lead Designer and Co-Founder, Don Schmocker, said, “The reception to FAR: Lone Sails was humbling, to know that people felt the same passion as we do about that world inspired us to continue to build on it with Changing Tides. We knew we wanted to tell a different, but complimentary tale, one which would be familiar to fans but fresh and exciting.”

With the same captivating art style, meditative side scrolling gameplay and haunting soundtrack from composer Joel Schoch as FAR: Lone Sails, the next entry into the world created by Okomotive will present fans with a fresh experience as they sail the high seas and scour the deepest ocean floors, later this year.

Frontier’s Head of Publishing, Zac Antonaci, said, “Signing Okomotive to Foundry was a wonderful moment for the team here as there is a huge amount of love for FAR: Lone Sails in the studio. What Don and the rest of the developers have created with Changing Tides is a fantastic continuation of their brand and we’re delighted to be involved in bringing this to fans, leveraging Frontier’s legacy as a developer and publisher.”

FAR: Changing Tides launches in late calendar 2021 on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Switch, Steam and Epic Store. The announce trailer is available here: (link). The game can be wishlisted on Steam here.

Xbox Unveils its Biggest Exclusive Games Lineup Ever

A packed holiday line-up, two exclusive Bethesda games coming next year, and more.

For more than 20 years, Team Xbox has focused on making Xbox a place where fans will find great games, dedicated developers, and the most passionate community in the world. We are all on a mission to bring the joy and community of gaming to everyone on the planet and that’s why we put players at the center of everything that we do. Together, we all make Xbox the best place to play.

Today, at the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase, we gave our fans a closer look at the next era of gaming, revealing worlds previously thought impossible and delivering the power of games to everyone, everywhere. Over the course of the show, we pulled the curtain back on thirty titles, 27 of which will be included with Xbox Game Pass.

Our growing family of 23 studios is devoted to advancing the medium we all love, so we were happy to share that now through the end of the year, you can look forward to back-to-back monthly releases coming to Xbox Game Pass on day one, led by a record five new titles from Xbox Game Studios this holiday, including Halo Infinite. As recently discussed by Head of Xbox Game Studios Matt Booty, this is just part of our commitment to building the best, highest-quality, and most diverse video game line-up in the world.

Diablo II: Resurrected Reopens the Gates of Hell 24 September

The faithfully remastered action role-playing game classic is coming to Windows® PC, and for the first time to Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, and Nintendo Switch™

Preorder today for early access to the upcoming open beta test on supporting platforms

SYDNEY, Australia—14 June, 2021—On 24 September, players around the world can save Sanctuary from certain doom in Diablo® II: Resurrected™, the definitive remastering of Diablo II and its Lord of Destruction® expansion—two landmark entries in the company’s genre-defining action role-playing series.

In Diablo II: Resurrected, the original game’s iconic 2D character models become fully realised 3D heroes who inhabit a boldly re-envisioned dark fantasy world of Sanctuary rife with rich—and often gory—detail. To take advantage of today’s modern gaming hardware, Diablo II: Resurrected supports up to 4K resolution and includes fully remastered 7.1 Dolby Surround audio*. Those who still fondly remember the ambiance of the original game’s gripping storytelling sequences can also look forward to all 27 minutes of cinematics, recreated with stunning high-fidelity visuals that faithfully reproduce the critically acclaimed originals and match the spirit of the modernised game’s graphics.

While Diablo II: Resurrected takes full advantage of today’s modern gaming hardware, it also preserves the timeless hack-and-slash gameplay that is as engrossing and enjoyable today as it was twenty years ago—with a few quality-of-life updates Diablo veterans have been clamouring for, such as a larger stash and automatic gold pickup. Players experiencing teary-eyed nostalgia as they relive fond memories of spinning hammers and exploding corpses can seamlessly swap between the modern graphics and the original 800×600 resolution experience with the push of a button.

“The Lord of Terror has demanded that we remaster Diablo II, and we are excited to do his bidding by bringing Diablo II: Resurrected to PC and console players this September, with cross-progression† so everyone can enjoy it on their preferred system,” said J. Allen Brack, president of Blizzard Entertainment. “We also look forward to welcoming new and returning Diablo players to our upcoming multiplayer open beta. Their feedback will help us put the finishing touches on a game we hope players will continue to enjoy for many years to come.”

A Diablo II: Resurrected multiplayer open beta will take place on supporting platforms in August, featuring five of the final game’s seven highly customisable character classes for players to choose from—the Amazon, Barbarian, Paladin, and Sorceress from the core game, as well as the Druid from the included Lord of Destruction expansion. The Necromancer and Assassin will be available when the game officially launches.

Developed by Blizzard Entertainment and in-house studio Vicarious Visions, Diablo II: Resurrected will be available at launch on Windows® PC via Battle.net®, and on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, and Nintendo Switch™.

Diablo II: Resurrected will be available as a standalone experience (suggested retail price $69.95 AUD) or as part of the Diablo Prime Evil Collection (suggested retail price $99.95 AUD), which includes:

• Diablo II: Resurrected
• The Diablo III Eternal Collection, comprising Diablo III, the Reaper of Souls™ expansion, and the Rise of the Necromancer content pack
• The Mephisto pet and Hatred’s Grasp wings for Diablo III

Players who preorder Diablo II: Resurrected or the Diablo Prime Evil Collection will receive a Heritage of Arreat transmog for Diablo III (available in-game by 24 September), which gives Diablo III barbarians access to the iconic blue war paint and leather armour of the Diablo II barbarian. Preorders also unlock early access to the open beta test taking place in August on supporting platforms.
