See which of your actions branch the narrative in the new gameplay video for Gamedec – an isometric RPG coming to PC on September 16th

With only 2.5 months left until Gamedec launches on SteamGOG.comEpic Games Store, and Humble Store it’s about time we dive deeper into the true meaning of what Anshar Studios developers call “an authentic RPG experience.” Watch the new gameplay video and see for yourself if they’ve managed to achieve this ambitious goal.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – June 30th, Katowice, Poland.

Pen and paper RPG fans loved this genre for the gameplay freedom it gave them. For the fact that just like in real life, what impacts their character’s future are not only the choices made during a playthrough. But also what was said, to whom, and when. What actions were taken and which ones were skipped, and a whole lot of other tiny details that might not seem very important at the beginning. Now try to imagine that Gamedec reflects all these dependencies and builds not only the plot but also gameplay around them.

Watch the new gameplay video below!

Check out gameplay from the Backers Build here!

Once done, don’t forget to add the game to your wishlist on Steam (https://store.steampowered.com/app/917720/Gamedec/), follow it on GOG.com (https://www.gog.com/game/gamedec), Epic Games Store (https://www.epicgames.com/store/p/gamedec), and starting today, also Humble Store (https://www.humblebundle.com/store/gamedec).

ABOUT GAMEDEC

Gamedec is an authentic RPG experience where decisions are important and come with consequences. The world in which you live adapts to each decision you make. As the story progresses, your hero adapts as well. Just like in “real” life, the consequences of your choices can be immediate, long-term, or stay hidden, surfacing only when you least expect them. Whatever you decide, the game will remain neutral without judging your choices or suggesting “better” options. It is up to you to evaluate what you’ve done. Just remember that in this job, the game is always on.

Anshar Studios returns to the foundations of the RPG genre with their new game, built on mechanics such as Deduction, the Codex, and Aspects. These allow for complex conversations and interactions as players create or expose networks of conspiracies while discovering unusual relationships between virtual worlds. Gamedec’s pen-and-paper-based RPG mechanics give players the freedom to approach situations from multiple perspectives.

YOU ARE THE SUM OF YOUR CHOICES

Your goal is to hunt down the criminals of virtual worlds – rich and spoiled businesspeople, corporations with plans to rewrite history. Are they acting alone, or are they mere puppets? What does a “happy ending” mean to you? To them? Each decision changes the world around you and your character’s personality. Some decisions will feel right, but others might be unexpected.

EXPLORE THE CYBERPUNK OF THE 22ND CENTURY

Welcome to Warsaw City in the 22nd century, where “real” is relative and “life” and “death” have many meanings. Real and virtual worlds have merged, giving rise to ancient vices: lust, sloth, pride, envy… That’s why everyone needs gamedecs – specialists who solve real problems in virtual worlds. Be it the Wild West or a prehistoric amusement park, these and many other worlds reveal our inclinations and weaknesses.

EXPERIENCE THE ESSENCE OF ROLE-PLAYING

Use your wits to gather info from witnesses and suspects, get to the bottom of deceptive schemes, save lives, and investigate the extraordinary relationships between virtual worlds and their inhabitants. Gamedec emulates the nature of tabletop RPGs by focusing on character development through decision-making. As in classic tabletop RPGs, you’re given the freedom to approach situations from multiple angles rather than forcing a single solution – the choice is yours and yours alone.

Gamedec will launch on SteamGOG.comEpic Games Store, and Humble Store on September 16th this year. The console release date will be announced in the near future.

More information can be found on the game’s official website, Facebook, TwitterYouTube, and Discord.

Risk Life and Limb on the High Seas in Fishing: North Atlantic — Available Now for Xbox One and PlayStation 4!

This Ain’t Like Skippin’ Down to the Pond and Catchin’ Bluegill and Trout…the Ocean Will Swallow You Whole If You Don’t Run a Tight Ship

Stavanger, Norway (June 30, 2021) — Don those chest waders and carefully study that compass, because today, independent developer Misc Games proudly announced that its hit simulation title Fishing: North Atlantic is now available for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4! Console players eager to get into the nitty-gritty of what it takes to be a commercial fisherman can now do so — without potentially falling overboard! Just don’t forget that the crew’s lives and livelihood are still on the line, and there’s nothing fishy about following safety procedures while at sea!

“We couldn’t be happier with the console versions of Fishing: North Atlantic,” said Yasemin Hamurcu, COO at Misc Games. “When the game initially launched on PC last year, there was significant demand from the community to bring the title to consoles as well. Today was a long time coming, and I’m certain our fans will love the work we’ve done to make Fishing: North Atlantic a joy to play on their preferred platform. It’s time to dive in and get to business!”

As the sequel to the popular fishing simulator game Fishing: Barents Sea, Fishing: North Atlantic is set off the coast of Nova Scotia where the ocean is boundless, unpredictable, and swimming with tuna, swordfish, and crawly crustaceans. You’re invited to take on the role of captain, where they are responsible for commanding a crew of fellow anglers keen on heading back to port with a bounty of fish, crab, and lobster. This is one of the most dangerous careers in the world, where ocean swells are as rife with danger as they are riches. It’s up to you to monitor GPS and sonar signals for fish habitats, avoid brutal storms when possible, and order the crew to toss deep line buoys and crab pots overboard at the appropriate moments. So, be sure to meticulously look over those maps, because this is as real as it gets. You Betta believe it.

Watch the new Fishing: North Atlantic console launch trailer:

Key Features of Fishing: North Atlantic:

  • True to Life Detail: Every island, inlet, harborfront, and rocky crag is meticulously crafted after real-world map data of Nova Scotia. Being one of Canada’s maritime provinces means players will have their hands full when it comes to navigating and exploring this vast open world.
  • Ship-Shape Vessels Abound: With over 27 different ships to choose from, all of which are based on real vessels, players will have loads of options to choose from when it comes to picking a boat of their own. There’s even officially licensed equipment from Hermes, Scanmar, and Skipasyn to be found throughout the bridges!
  • Hooks ‘n Lines: Catching swordfish is quite a bit different from trapping lobsters. Which is why harpooning, trawling, deeplining, and many more fishing techniques are part of the game. Players will learn all the ins and outs of what it takes to be a commercial fisherman
  • When it Rains, it Pours: Part of the captain’s duties is to ensure the crew isn’t needlessly trying to haul up crab pots in the middle of a thunderstorm, which is why it’s important for players to monitor GPS and weather conditions to make sure everyone aboard can work safely

Published and developed by Misc Games, Fishing: North Atlantic is available now for PlayStation 4 and Windows PC via Steam for $34.99 USD, and Xbox One with a limited-time launch discount for $29.99 USD. Learn more at https://fishingnorthatlantic.com.

MY.GAMES announces partnership with video games mental health charity Safe In Our World

The partnership will support a series of initiatives to create awareness for the charity and help gamers and game developers around the world access important mental health resources

30th June 2021, London, United Kingdom: Global gaming brand MY.GAMES is delighted to announce that it is extending its mental health awareness initiative through a new partnership beginning today with Safe In Our World, the video games mental health charity. After the charity’s successful fundraising drive Safer Together, during May’s Mental Health Awareness month, MY.GAMES was keen to pitch in to help the charity with its long-term objective; eliminating the stigma surrounding mental health to make it a natural topic of discussion and to promote the dialogue surrounding mental health so people are not afraid to reach out for help if they need to.

Starting today, MY.GAMES is running a global advertising campaign across its mobile titles to create awareness for the charity and help gamers and game developers around the world access important mental health resources.

Leo Zullo, Chair and Trustee of Safe In Our World commented:  “The video games industry creates worlds for huge numbers of vulnerable people, and it is our duty to help and support them. We can reach them and share this message if we work together; and together, we can actually make a difference. Safe In Our World is the first step in these efforts, and we’re delighted with the response within the industry and from our partners, such as MY.GAMES, and individuals who are joining this initiative.”

Elena Grigoryan, CMO at MY.GAMES added: “Mental Health awareness is an important part of the MY.GAMES strategy for creating a safe and comfortable environment for everyone who loves games within our communities. We are glad to be supporting Safe In Our World’s activities and the important work the charity is doing. We want to help in any way we can to contribute to strengthening the knowledge around the subject of mental health and work together to open a dialogue around these topics – creating a safe space for people to reach out.”

Working hand in hand with companies promoting the conversation around mental health has been part of MY.GAMES mission for several years, particularly amid the global pandemic. This has included a study with the IDGA and Fair Play Alliance conducted in 2020 assessing how aware gamers are about mental health, and how often they experience problems related to it.  After the success of this initiative, MY.GAMES will also be facilitating a new anonymous research survey beginning in July to help Safe In Our World gather important information and data to help with their mission. Other aspects of the partnership will be announced soon.

CEO of Safe in our World, Dr. Gina Jackson OBE concluded by saying: “The main goal of Safe In Our World is to create and foster worldwide mental health awareness within the video game industry and beyond; to eliminate the stigma surrounding mental health, to make it a natural topic of discussion, and to promote the dialogue surrounding mental health so people are not afraid to reach out for help if they need it. We feel that partnerships like these will be a step towards achieving this goal for the people within our games communities.”

WARHAMMER VERMINTIDE 2 – NEW CONTENT FOR CONSOLES

Sister of the Thorn and Chaos Wastes reaches Playstation and Xbox today

STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN, June 30, 2021.  Independent developer Fatshark is proud to bring new content to the console versions of the award-winning and multi-million selling Warhammer: Vermintide 2.

Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S
Today the new career Sister of the Thorn reaches Xbox players. The career was released earlier this month on PC and became the most popular career to date.

Playstation 4
A really big day for the Playstation players. The Sister of the Thorn career is available today as well as the hit expansion Chaos Wastes. The latter has been a big hit on both PC and Xbox, and now it’s ready to charm – in its brutal way – Playstation players.

“A great day for all Warhammer: Vermintide 2 console players” says Martin Wahlund, CEO Fatshark. “Both the Sister of the Thorn and Chaos Wastes have been enormous successes and we are glad to release them on consoles.”

Sister of the Thorn – Xbox and Playstation 4
The Sister of the Thorn is a new career for Kerillian that brings new abilities, weapon types, talent tree, character skin, challenges as well as a new hat and new voice lines. Kerillian will use magic in a greater way than ever before and will not pull any magical punches towards any enemies she encounters. The Sister of the Thorn is the perfect member of any team as she brings the heaviest support of all careers in the game.

Sister of the Thorn Features
Briar Javelin
Deepwood Staff
New talent tree
Exclusive character skin
New challenges
New voice lines
New hat

Chaos Wastes – Playstation 4
The next chapter in the Vermintide 2 story has arrived, and it’s available as a free download. In Chaos Wastes, the players will -try- to reach the Citadel of Eternity, but only the pure at heart will be able to complete the journey. In order to survive the journey to the Citadel the heroes will have to leave their fancy and hard-earned armor behind and go back to basics. The journey begins where it all began over three years ago, and armed only with simple equipment that will require skills to use effectively rather than just hiding behind a maxed out Iron Breaker (yes, talking to you, you know who you are!).

The trek can only be completed by a true pilgrim navigating through the unpredictable region without a map and where no journey is the same. The Citadel of Eternity is a place most have only heard of through rumours. It is said to be located in a region under the influence of the Chaos Gods and apparently Saltzpyre knows how to get there – or so he claims.

New Features
Pilgrim’s Coins – Chaos Waste Unique coins that can be traded for godly favor or weapons along the path. A wise traveler hoards them well and spends them wisely.

Chest of Trials – Those seeking additional challenges while on their Pilgrimage can find them by means of the rare Chests of Trials. Opening a Chest of Trials draws the attention of a monstrous foe. Defeat the foe, and claim the reward.

Shrines – Uncorrupted shrines can be found in the Chaos Wastes. Heroes can seek the favor of wholesome gods in the form of Miracles & Boons. But, of course, such favors are not earned without sacrifice.

Waystone Altars – A weapon stash that contains weapons employed by previous pilgrims. Accessible through sacrificing Pilgrim’s Coins. The more Pilgrim’s Coins the Reliquary demands, the more powerful the weaponry to be found within.

Potions – The road is littered with mysterious potions that offer powerful benefits… perhaps enough to help even the odds on a long and difficult journey.

The Fifth Player
Chaos Wastes includes the Twitch Integration – the streamer’s favorite game mode – which lets the audience join in on the adventure and help the players on their journey by voting on what will happen next.
